1. Yup, squeaky bum time for Derby. Can't say that's upsetting. Also looks like the playoff places are locked in. Just a question of who gets to play who first now.
2. I never have any problems understanding him, it's just that what he says is so inane my brain immediately switches to some nice easy listening Muzak
3. Oh, well, if we're going off topic and you happen to be a bit of a nerd, I definitely recommend The Podcaster's Guide to the Galaxy... https://anchor.fm/tpgttg
4. The title winning squad of 2003/4 gatecrashed our Norwich Union work do at Delaneys, joining us on the top floor as they were getting a bit harassed downstairs. Chatting with Hucks, singing We Are The Champions with McVeigh and Drury, seeing Greeno's bare **** as he pulled down his pants and waddled around... It gets a brief mention in Iwan's book. Great night.
5. What, no Fozzy Flick? Can't be any good... Looks good at corners and a good eye from range but quite a few lumps straight into the keeper there, and a number of penalties. Bit inconclusive I'd say...
6. Not to mention a rapidly growing argument about whether we need new owners, as if its 2007 again... What next, Worthy Out vs Keep The Faith?
7. A hat trick against Brentford without conceding would set him up nicely... * of course I realise 49 minutes too late that we've already played Brentford twice... *
8. I thought he was outstanding last night. I resisted tweeting about it during the game in case I jinxed it! A spell out on loan to a good Championship club would be of benefit next season. Maybe half a season and see how he's faring at Christmas and bring him back if needs be.
9. That would work better for our friends down the road, since they've spent the last few decades getting shafted like a stepmum stuck in a washing machine...
10. I'd love us to take a stand and remove any betting related shirt sponsorship, but it's not just about that. There's whole stadia named after betting companies, branding in the stands, on the advertising hoardings, and that's all without the juggernaut of SkyBet and Sky Sports' assault on the senses that leaches to every single game that's shown. It's become an absolute beast of a problem.
11. I've always been lurking Mostly I have to say particularly enjoying these Next 5 Games posts, been really good to chunk up the season like this and analyse a bit at a time. Makes it a bit less anxiety-inducing!
12. See, this is why I absolutely love the Championship as a competition. You look at those fixtures and ours, in particular, look absolutely winnable on paper. But relegation scrappers like Sheff Weds for us, Derby for Brentford, Brum for Watford... Those fixtures are always banana skins in this league. And of course there's the play-off challengers like Bournemouth and Cardiff who will all be tricky for our opponents... Not to even mention the mid table teams who are feisty and relaxed and maybe even have one eye on a late playoff push... It all looks easy to predict on paper, but this league is just too much fun to make it certain...
13. I've never really been away... Just call me Lurky McLurkface
14. Careful you don't cut yourself on all that edge...
15. That's 2.18 points per game by my reckoning, and our current form is 2.17... So it's a real possibility...
16. Great question this! Turns out mine was almost a full month. Born 8th December and they didn't win a game until 2nd Jan, an FA Cup game against Stoke...
17. SPURIOUS INFO ALERT!!! Yesterday I saw some suited gentlemen gathering outside Carrow Road, about to enter. I heard one of them say ''How''s your Italian?'' Of course they could have just been looking for some pasta from Delia''s... But you never know!
18. I reckon Mitt Romney was hired by Lord Coe to say all that stuff. The English media have been slating the games and our country''s preparations for them for 7 years. They slagged off the ticketing policy, slammed the security arrangements and gave a general feeling that they and the British public didn''t give a hoot about the games... But then in comes Romney and says EXACTLY THE SAME THINGS! Only Ronny is a furriner, and a Yank to boot (who we all know are stoopit). Then the hysteria begins, the British people take offence and now we''re all watching fencing and handball and weightlifting, cheering on ''our boys'' (and girls, as long as they''re fit or in with a chance of winning something) and generally feeling proud of what this great nation has achieved. ''That Yankee Doodle Dude said it couldn''t be done, but by jingo we done it good and proper what what pip pip! Now, where''s the MacDonalds...'' Brilliant. Incidentally, back on topic, I thought the opening ceremony was out of this world, 10/10 for me. Would have been better without the BBC commentary plonkers, but by the sound of it, America got it worse on that front.
19. Great choice for me, he''s got a great knowledge of the game and is articulate and insightful. Not being able to understand his accent is just a nonsense, he''s Irish, not Klingon...
20. Dammit. I saw the car too, its a proper footballer''s style range rover, so an easy mistake to make!
21.

Someone who works at Carra. (think he also posts on here too) "Anyone know why Delia, MWJ etc have turned up at Carrow Rd? Standard meeting or announcement imminent? If so, what? ncfc" Could this be our first signing?
It should be clarified that the ''Someone who works at Carra'' does not work for the club and is purely a sighting of the aforementioned people... whoever that someone might be... ahem...
Don''t think Delia and MWJ being at Carrow Road would be indicative of a player signing about to happen. They don''t usually attend players signings. Would think it would be dealt with by Hughton and McNally. Probably just a board meeting.
Quite probably, to be honest. Thinking about it I seem to remember Mr Fry tweeting about this time last month that he was on his way to Norwich for a board meeting (presumed NCFC)... I remember it because it was sod''s law that it was one of the few days I was away from the office! The lack of noise from Archant staff suggests its not a presser, but it could be one of those photo ops they do with new signings, where Delia stands by as the new signing holds his new shirt aloft? Just a thought...

23.
Lol, I live near the train station and I can hear Scottish voices singing already!
Some of them were here as early as 8am, Morty, and most of them had tins of beer in their hands already. They seem to have dispersed away from the ground now, and somehow I don''t think they''ve gone to sample the delights of Chapelfield...   Gonna take a wander down the river in a bit and see how the land lies...   Its gonna be a fun day!
24. I''m just impressed that The Captain managed to remember his log-in details after all these years.   I forget mine after a few months of inactivity then spend half an hour swearing at the computer...
25. If you play Paul Lambert''s interview backwards it reveals that Grant Holt actually died in a car accident and has been replaced by an actor...
