1.
FIFA will do bugger all as usual. And in a month''s time, Liverpool fans will have forgotten all about it.
Forgotten about what?
2. I had a ticket for todays game and had looked forward to this fixture all season but at the 11th hour circustances dictated I couldn''t get to Carrow Road.   And YES it was a home ticket - I was  guest of some Norwich supporters - needless to say it was passed onto a Norwich fan.   Had I gone to the game I would not have been adorned in red or made it too obvious I am a Liverpudlian.   But I didn''t get to the4 game and settled for watching it on my PC   The lengths that Liverpool supporters will go to in order to get into a game often amazes me - some comical, some insane and some embarrasing.   But Shanks loved us for that level of fanaticism   A little lad was going through the Wembley turnstiles at the Everton/Liverpool FA Cup Final and produced his ticket - which was an adult ticket.   The steward queried him about how come he had an adult ticket.    "Me Dad" he muttered.   "I see" said the steward "and where is your Dad?"   "He''s still at home lookin'' for ''is ticket!"
3. Yes, I think tomorrows match is Norwich''s toughest but Sunderlands results against Man City and Chelsea show the other remaining matches should hold no fear for Norwich.   They are winnable and I tip Norwich to beat Arsenal and who knows against the others.   GO FOR IT NORWICH!!!
4. I dunno where this crap about Liverpool "stealing" You''ll Never Walk Alone from Celtic came from.   Everyone knows how Liverpool fans came to sing it, simply because the Gerry & The Pacemakers version was played, along with all other Mersey groups songs, over the tannoy.  The Kop joined in with every song with great gusto - She Loves You, I wanna Hold Your Hand etc. etc.   It wasn''t planned and nobody made a decision to adopt it - it just happened.   Just like when the whole kop as one voice started singing Careless Hands when Gary Sprake threw the ball into his own net - it just happened.   For some reason some other clubs started singing it too and I certainly don''t recall Celtic fans singing it prior to the eighties although I could be wrong on that.   None the less as far as I''m concerned it''s Liverpools anthem and that''s that!   On the Ball City is fantastic - an ORIGINAL and UNIQUE club anthem.   The oldest known club anthem in the world and I for one would love to hear the original version played over the tannoy at Carrow Road before every match.   In fact I think the Norwich team should do a Wimbledon Crazy Gang type of thing and sing it with great gusto whilst waiting in the tunnel before the the match with the opposing side standing next to them - They''re bound to just stand there in shock thinking "What the **** is THIS?" - Psychologically Norwich would walk out already one nil up   In all likelihood the song you''ll hear most from the Away section on Sunday is The Fields Of Anfield Road.   But matter not, I hope that OTBC will be sung often, loudly and with great pride.   Despite recent history of this fixture Norwich have a habit of spoiling Liverpools parties.   Such as the very last match played in front of the original Spion Kop where Liverpool should''ve bade it farewell with a resounding victory for the fans to emember it by but NO!   Along came Norwich and won the match 0-1.   Talk about party poopers!!!   Obviously I go for a Liverpool win on Sunday but am optimistic about Norwich''s remaining games.   With at least one win against either United or Arsenal and with Sunderlands performance against City that one becomes suddenly very winnable.   You could always sing the oppositions version of "In My Liverpool Home"   Original Version                                                                   Opposition Version   In me Liverpool Home, in me Liverpool home                    In yer Liverpool Home, in yer Liverpool home We speak with an accent exceedly rare                                Yer look in the dustbin for something to eat Meet under a statue exceedingly bare                                   If yer find a dead cat An'' if yer want a Cathedral we''ve got one to spare               Then yer think it''s a treat In me Liverpool home                                                           In yer Liverpool home

6. As a Liverpudlian with great affection for Norwich City I am not relishing this Sunday.   I would prefer it to have been the very last match of the season with the title already at Anfield and Norwich''s safety already secured - where the **** is Santa when you most need him!   All logic says it''s a win for Liverpool but as is often expressed it''s a funny old game and strange things happen.  Of course I want Liverpool to win and go on to win the title - the objective this season was top 4 anything above that is a bonus but now the title IS in reach.   By the time Norwich play the other three I hope United, Chelsea and Arsenal are so demoralised that Norwich manage at least one win.
7. They buy it to read the football page - the cartoon strip one about Warbury Warriors that is!   It''s more factual than their actual football reporting
8. It was probably McNally that kept Chris Hughton in the job for so long - until it became totally apparent the chances of survival were reducing to virtually nil.
9. I''ve always considered the term "Plastic Fans" to pertain to those fairweather fans who jump on the bandwagon of a clubs success.   They have no connection to the home town or even country of the club.   It becomes fashionable to support a club and the merchandise is bought and worn as designer accessories. very fashionable.   I suppose there is a psychological reason behind it - by attaching themselves to success may give the feeling of personal success.   I don''t know.   I''m not a shrink.   So the elite clubs of the PL attract a lot of "Fans" who have no attachment to the area or the club.   Have no logical reason to support it but have chosen it anyway solely because of the clubs success and name then spend an awful lot of money on the merchandise in the on-line shop.   The club quite rightly embraces them into the fold sending them personal e-mails keeping them up to date on this months special offers and suchlike.   Plastic fans are a compliment to a clubs success.   You don''t really find plastic fans outside the top tiers of the league - not true plastics anyway - if a team were to fall from grace into the depths of say, league 1, the plastics would desert like rats from a ship and find a more trendy club to support   So if you supported Norwich in league 1 you are not a true plastic.   You are an imposter!!!
10. Norwich is my other team!   I spend a lot of time in Norwich and started going to Carrow Road about the same time as Paul Lambert joined and got completely hooked with the result I''m even driving down from Liverpool to Villa Park tomorrow.   Not being able to get to Anfield much these days means I''ve ended up watching Norwich more than Liverpool.  Not planned, it''s just happened!   Norwich are in the pemier league on merit not because wealthy backers are buying success.   A real football club - full house at each game in league 1 days - British owned and debt free - THAT is some achievement these days.   Away fans are a particular credit to the club and great ambassadors.
11. Quote "Call that relaxed? Now this is what I call a relaxed approach to the game ..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLCZZAheNSU   This is a more direct approach.......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVu7k-heG8w
12. Added to the pass and move principle is the Busby principle of making yourself available at all times
13. He walked out on Norwich   It isn''t working out for him   Surely Norwich Fans have a right to gloat?
14. Last nights result was what I expected - after the bad performance against Hull Liverpool HAD to pull out the stops for this one.   The players were fired up for it.   SUAREZ - we can hate the man but I think we have to admire the player!   Albeit reluctantly.   It takes top notch defenders to cope with him and he seems to have the measure of the Norwich defence with his hat-tricks becoming a usual occurence.   The little ******* was certainly on fire.   As one commentator said, "Norwich didn''t do anything wrong".   Ignore the quality of defenders the flight of the ball from ratboys feet last night would''ve been goals against the best.   The free kick was unfortunate since it was never a foul on Gerrard who simply lost his balance and fell over.   People have said Hooper wasn''t playing as he was being rested - rested from what?   I won''t be in to work today as I need to rest in preparation for next week.   The Liverpool defence is fragile and Norwich should''ve gone at them hard.   The quality of the Norwich goal was lost in the shadows of the Suarez show.   It was superb - a great cross and fantastic header - pin point crosses from the wing instead of speculative punts into mid air with no particular player in mind are what produces chances in my view.   I believe Norwich players are far better than the teams performances it''s just the way they are playing as a team   Being a Liverpool supporter AND a fan of Norwich I would prefer a draw in these fixtures!   I have faith that Norwich will be okay and avoid relegation but it will be a hard fight no doubt
15. I''m definitely going!!!   In fact;  I''m already there!
16.
As City 2nd alluded to, it could be perceived in some quarters that Calderwood arrived with a bit of ''baggage'' regarding Grant Holt and their time at Forest. Holt had scored goals for fun before Calderwood shifted him into a right winger, Holt lost form and goals and then went down to pastures new.Since Holty had been a phenomenal striker for us and then suddenly switched overnight since the new management team came in - drifting to the wings, looking peed off, trying to get himself sent off, *only* scoring 8 (which is beginning to look increasingly more impressive by the week!) - it''s probably one of those hindsight things where people are putting two and two together.
Holts days with Norwich were over as soon as Calderwood arrived!   They are largely anonymous - Culverhouse was to be seen frequently in the tech area on match days being involved in what was happening on the pitch.   I don''t even know what Calderwood and Trollope look like.   First rate management usually employ first rate staff.   Second rate management cannot survive with first rate staff (the staff usually take over - or leave).   This thread is about Calderwood and Trollope not Hughton and I genuinely do not believe they they are right for Norwich - they are just not good enough at this level   I always assumed Grant Holt would''ve been groomed by Norwich for some form of role or involvement on the coaching/management/ambassador side.   His nous may be sh1te but his motivational and leadership skills invaluable.   Russell Martin is another one who should be earmarked for future things.
17. Put it this way, how many of these "big" clubs would still be playing in front of packed houses if they went down to League 1?   The chances are there would be a mass exodus of supporters.   So demotion can be a real test of support and Norwich passed that with flying colours.   I went to my first game at Carrow Road just after Paul Lambert arrived and was amazed to say the least.   Since then I''ve even gone to some away games and remain totally impressed by Norwich support
18. Usually an alternative route is the A1065 up through Brandon then turning right but that''s closed too I believe.   A friend of mine says he''s turning off the A14 at Cambridge and taking the A10 then A47 - which may avoid diverted traffic and away supporters
19.
Hell it was the most boring I''ve seen Norwich in years and not so much Hughton but more Calderwood to blame for the negative tactics and coaching in my opinion.   But Hughton did his job, improved the squad beyond belief and with attacking options, so I don''t think we will see such a negative set up this year. To be honest Hughton did the job asked with a limited budget and squad. Did a great job.   Good luck to Holty, will always be a legend here and to be honest he knew with Hooper and RVW he would only ever warm the bench this year so Wigan was a great move for all parties.
Spot On!   Couldn''t agree more.   Calderwood wrecked Holts game at Notts Forest and did the same at Norwich as far as I''m concerned
20. My prediction is :-   Norwich City 3      Wiganerton 1   (Well they''ve taken so many Wigan players and staff I''m surprised they haven''t nicked the FA Cup too!)
21. Could Calderwoods involvement have anything to do with it?
22. You could rename the Barclay "The Holt End"   Pardon?   No need to react like that I''m only making a suggestion!
23. Why not just go to Portman Road on 15th March and support him there against Ipswich? I''m sure there will be plenty of away tickets availabnle although it may look a bit strange all those yellow shirts in the Wigan end!
