the fact that it is a team that existed over 100 years ago is the whole point - they are basically saying , we support the team that started as Newton Heath playing in Yellow and green and evolved into Man Utd , rather than the team brought into by the Mercenary americans I think the protest might be more useful , if the fans had not brought their £ 40 tickets , Programme , food and sundry merchandise - proceeds from which go to the very people they are protesting against

NAME THAT TEAM - Oldham (a) 1991

one of the easiest ever !!!! -
the club are £ 23 in debt for gods sake - they won;t be increasing capacity until the finances improve somewhat - they have 24,000 every week , 20.000 season tickets in place the majority renewing for next season , so lets get the finances in order first - can;t see 30.000 is necessary for League 1 or the championship
-
so if Huddersfield or Swindon up their prices to £ 30 - you won;t moan at all ? ?

english teams in Europe , cannot understand why any other club would "support " them - I find it funny when they lose - look at Liverpool , they thought that they would wipe the floor with the Romanians last night - conveniently forgetting that these were the champions and who had a decent champions League campaign in a difficult group - it is the arrogance that does it - why is Porto beating Arsenal a shock - Porto are a decent side , why are Man Utd favourites - I hope they all lose ASAP

Do any players still smoke in the modern game?
gary replied to Greg Downs Hairpiece's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Ian Crook does , Kevin Drinkell did -
this week is half term week - thousands of kids looking for things to do 0 any other week , no problem , they wouldn;t go anyway
-
of course they have
-
Shame , My kids have season tickets and can walk to Carrow Road and were looking forward on Weds to seeing the match , as I am at work , they cannot get to Colney - they would have bought drinks etc , so if you had lots of kids on Half term doing the same , money made by the club - now lost

Will we lose again this season?
gary replied to Barclay hero's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
of course we will - lose probably 2 or 3 - we will lose to somebody unexpected - could be saturday - would not suprise me in the slightest -
other than the pass on Saturday , not sure he did much else - held on to a ball for far too long ( the move on kick off last night ) but huffed and puffed - I reserve total judgement for a few weeks

i saw him at half 8 - walking near the roundabout outside the old mental hospital at Thorpe - perhaps car is in for MOT -
is Charlton vs Leeds !!! might be interesting
-
By Next Monday night at 9.45 , we could have Norwich , Leeds and Charlton all on 57 points We win Saturday , we go top on goal difference , Leeds are not playing , so cannot improve their total , Charlton play their game in hand tomorrow against Hartlepool at home and then are on sky against Orient on Monday - I reckon we are looking at two from those three for autopmatic and the one that drops into the play off will be gutted We can afford no slip ups , but they games against Leeds and Charlton will be crucial
-
accepted and understood - I won;t bother next time !!!!!!
-
so if Brighton can sell the home areas and allocate us a small number of tickets - we accept it and do not attempt to gain tickets in home areas - Colchester give us an allocation double that of Brighton and there are fans in home areas , much gnashing and wailing I cannot see there is any difference really Sarcasm and facetitousness get missed on here do they
-
surely they can give us more , look how many we took to Wycombe and Colchester - get buying for the home areas now
-
I see we get our usual 694 tickets for the brighton match - allocated through a ballot - I hope the club are asking for many more and that you are all in the home areas for this one as well - anyone tried yet , what did the Brighton ticket office say
-
Hartlepool are no mugs - ran Leeds close , played Southampton off the park only to unluckily lose - that will not be as easy as people think
-
imagine we were travelling to Exeter in the conditions as they are - would not be nice - I have been to Shrewsbury without knowing the game was on until we were close by - the Walsall call off was awful - my kids were there - can;t do the same to the Exeter fan
