1. Yes matey. On the last day of transfer window many unlikely things are suddenly not as impossible as previously thought.
2. Alan Grey, the player has agreed personal terms, the club''s have not agreed fee yet.
3. Did I see correctly, haven''t agreed fee with Huddersfield yet?
4. There should be a filter on this post, It''s a bit of a grind percolating through all these replies.
5. He would be a good alternative to our new man Tettley.
6. Farro, Wet Spam are a club supported by a huge section of what used to be Fleet Street. It''s in Lawros professional interest to speak nice things about them as a good percentage of his critics and colleagues support them.
7.
I won''t believe it until it''s confirmed by a steward [:-D]
HEAD Steward, Mr Brownstone, please
8. There seems to be an awful lot of judgements being made by people who probably don''t know enough about the situation. Sorry to be boring.
9.
Did I write ''ten-digit''??? Sorry; meant double-digit. Too much vino too late in the evening...
The old ''double digit trick''
10. Problem, What do we call him, he needs a nickname. The problem is we already have (a Big Man) and he ain''t gonna look that big stood next to GH. Any suggestions?
11. Only you used the P word Kelly, I''m a realist not a dreamer, that includes considering what we have done in the last season, comparing with sat against Fulham and then giving thought to tomorrow and onwards. We have got to up our game to the level we were at last season, if we play again as we did against Fulham then just adding a couple of new faces ain''t gonna keep us up. Whenever I''ve watched City play Qpr''se it hasn''t been pretty but we had enough fight and tactics to win. I''m hoping for the same tomorrow.
12. We are having fun with the transfer window and like kids in a sweet shop all starry eyed at some of the names. I hope our players are focused tomorrow and not getting caught up in the moment.
13. We have coming up fast; Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle. Surely Qprs & Wet Spam are must win games. A repeat of the performance levels which were shown against Fulham would be disastrous. We have to score goals, it''s all very well this message board going on about a defensive midfielder, not many dm''s are prolific in front of goal and we haven''t scored a goal for what seems like a very long time. RANT
14. While we are Milking all these Tettley jokes, we shouldn''t water down how strong he is as a player, this could be a real sweetener to the fans. Delia already knows some of his family who are in catering.
15. He was spotted today at Reggie'' s Tea Stall, Norwich Market. Short chap, looks a bit northern with a flat cap.
16. Ameobie has been alternating between Asda and Morrison''s for years now. I wish he would shop somewhere else
17. Canary Wanderer, did you really say sell GH and buy two good Premier League strikers for £5 million? Yes, there were a couple of strikers in the PL who were better than GH last year, £5 million, no problem.
18. Let me get this straight, a striker (say S Jackson) who doesn''t worry the goal, that''s ok. Mmm, I''m not sure I know enough about football. I''ve always thought that we rely on strikers to at least worry a goalkeeper, leave it to defenders to run around with no end product. I''ve got a lot to larn.
19. Ourselves: We take it personally, and handle it badly, when setbacks occur. We will get over it, even if we dont forget it. Hughton: Experienced manager with positive history. We will find out how he handles press conferences as time goes on, hopefully more positively. We will find out how he learns from unexpected defeat and changes he make. Holt: We hope that his customary slow start to the season will be brief. We can only hope that he is in a positive place after having to fight for a pay rise and being left hanging til Saturday to find out who will be captain. The Season Ahead: We will not PERFORM much worse than that anytime soon, so an improvement can realistically be expected. Fulham are not going to be in bottom three next spring so we haven''t given three points to a relegation contender. It''s gonna be ok, breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out....
20. Hughton has a good reputation and I''m sure he will do well. He didn''t manage that interview at all well. Was he trying to get a message across to the fans, perhaps dumbing down expectations? Was it for the player''s, telling them they are not very good? Was it for the board, trying to release a big money transfer? If he had thought it through, I don''t know what he was getting at.
21. Garrido''s clearance has not come through yet
