I didn’t agree with letting Daniel go - but letting Dean go would be making things worse. He needs some time, at present how we play is dictated by the players at his disposal. Hopefully he has some input into the summer recruitment, and last summers who stay gain some confidence. Tough supporting the team at the moment, but let’s hope they can dig out a result somewhere.

A matter of time until the same happens with China. The West sucks up to them for trade, they also own football clubs, time to massively reduce trade with them.

Poland - players and FA stand strong and refuse to play Russia, English FA turns a blind yet again. The timing of this speaks volumes about how those titles were paid for - meanwhile we get slated for not competing with them.

Are we worse off than Palace or Brighton? Rich enough to stay up, but not to compete at the top. Season after season of mid-table nothingness - unless a richer owner takes over. Financially the top 3 will be Man City, Chelsea, and Newcastle. Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, and Man United can’t compete with them financially. I wonder how their fans, used to success, will feel in six or seven years time.

I recall Farke getting slated by the much of the media for not playing Gilmour. Now, when he is picked, he is ineffectual. Maybe Farke was protecting Gilmour by not playing him, that would certainly appear to be the case now. The media made him the saviour, and then when he is a massive disappointment, are surprised when fans show their frustration.

The sacking of Farke unraveled the unity at the club. I wonder who the players who wanted him gone were. I’m not seeing anyone playing better under Smith, and I don’t know what our playing style is now supposed to be. Just Weber showing more confidence in his signings than his Coach. Looking like misplaced confidence.

Well done for giving an alternate view Branston. I think the problem tonight is that this is yet another poor performance, whatever the mitigation. I am also of the view that even with our missing players we would have been well beaten. Our squad is so poor, losing players makes little difference.

I think the team has been boycotting matches for most of the season. Perhaps we need to re-think the new badge though - just go with a white flag.

Have a laugh. We can’t change anything. We had a medical team that didn’t notice this summers recruits were spineless. Surely the x-ray machine should have picked that up. Come back Onel, Timm, Tommy, Marco and Mario. 5 months into the season and they don’t cover for each other, know when to run, can’t tackle, or pass to one another. Take one player from 11 different League Two teams at 2:55, and you’d have more team cohesion than these lads can manage. We sacked a double Championship winning Coach to get a second opinion - and yes he has realised the players stink. At least Gilmour and Williams can be sent back (and please do it quickly), the rest of them we are stuck with until they are let go for free. I’m going to enjoy Palace, I’m not going to get annoyed, I’m just going to have a laugh at the inept 11 we put out. We haven’t a team worth bothering about this season.

Sums it up for me.

I expected more of a plan from Webber. It just looks knee jerk, and pick an out of work manager. We weren’t Lampards first choice, even his Uncle was pushing him for the Villa job.

I hope he can convince the players he is any good, because he hasn’t the fans.

Tuchel praising Lampard was polite and politically expedient to ingratiate himself with the fans. He was hardly going to describe a former fans favourite as inept. I expect whoever our next manager is to praise Farke. I thought we would have someone lined up who is a lot better than Lampard.

Not at all Newtopia. For me, he hasn’t done enough. He has picked young players but not developed them. Hasn’t worked anywhere on a budget, has no loyalty, and isn’t used to fighting against the odds.

Cannot believe Lampard is even being considered.

Player for player we are the poorest team in the League. Farke was our best (albeit very slim) chance of staying up - and this is a disaster. How many games shall we give the next man?
