Met for beers with my mate last night. The club in question was apparently Coventry (Not sure they are bigger than Palace personally but never mind). Regardless to what Freedman said in the press, he was very much interested in McDonald. He also mentioned that Freedman told him it was ''well known'' in the football league that Norwich are asking for a lot of cash and a whacking great big sell on fee that clubs just aren''t prepared to agree with. But apparently it is the board that are after this money not Paul Lambert himself.I feel sorry for the lad myself. I can understand why we are holding out for a big sell on fee, but asking for 550K is stupid given the length or his contract. We don''t want the boy and from the info I have got over the last week or so, it is us that are holding things up.

I work with a chap in London who is friends with Dougie Freedman. He has mentioned today that Norwich have agreed a deal with Palace for McDonald. Didn''t say how much the deal was for but should go through today or tomorrow. I''ve had a few corporate tickets for Palace games and have met Freedman (Though my friend) so I''m guessing this is true.Good luck Cody

Lambert obviously doesn''t consider Cody good enough for Prem standard and thats good enough for me. The ''I''m glad Cody is off'' stuff is harsh. I agree in that the prem has come to soon for him, but the guy has run himself into the ground everytime he has worn the shirt. He scored a few important goals and I for one enjoyed watching him in the brief spell he has had with us. He has been unfortunate we as a club under Lambert has progressed so quickly. Seems to be a very good prospect. A loan deal suits both parties at this stage. I remember the young lad who is now Arsenal number one playing at Carrow Road for Brentford. Loan seemed to do him the world of good. I thought we were going to have to shoot him to score at one stage

First post so go easy. But I can''t help but think we could do with an experienced centre half in that list (Probably been mentioned a few times no doubt already)
