Could they not get the Britannia Pier Theatre with free tickets for the Snails? What a shambles...π₯π₯π Apples -
Hi PUPs and many thanks @nutty nigel for the kind (and considering my season so far, very discreet) introduction! π€£ I'll be posting my picks early on Friday evening so get them all in. Nutty, I'll also send you an extra tenner for a second set. This week I'll go to the third tier of Germany with Dynamo Dresden (home win). For @littleyellowbirdie it's tricky to know how it's going to go, so I'm going to say a positive 2-1 win for City with Idah to score anytime. Best of luck everyone! ππ Apples

Saw Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds in Glasgow last night. Great gig including some Cramps and Gun Club classics. The band turned up at the venue and walked through the crowd, tuned up themselves with barely a soundcheck and then played a blinding set until they were about to get kicked off stage at 10. π«‘π Apples

Hi PUPs, off to Turkey this week with FATIH KARAGΓMRΓK VS. ADANA DEMIRSPOR (away win). Adana have Nani and Balotelli up front while Fatih have got the popular Italian choice Kevin Lasagna! π€£ For the City bet I'll go for Duffy to score anytime. Nutty, I'm ok for that date but will have to make my picks earlyish on Friday evening as I'm off on my annual search for Highlands Canary early on Saturday. Best of luck everyone! Apples

I think he'll go with "that's what they want you to think, it's actually all just an optical illusion caused by the vaccine and there's really more water there than there's ever been". Apples

Used to love watching in the days of "Ravishing" Rick Rude and the Mick Foley personas. Pure entertainment and people were always far too sniffy about it (it was always really good fun). π Apples

Isn't it the scotch wonderkid, Billy Gilmour? π€π Apples

I lived in EK a few years ago and it was always staunchly Labour so it will probably revert to that at the next election. You have to wonder how her dedication to independence will be accomodated by a Unionist party...sounds like she's screwing the SNP and Tories together. π€π€£ Apples

For a day trip your best bet is to drive from Edinburgh to Perth and then carry on the A9 towards Inverness, you hit the Southern Highlands pretty quickly after Dunkeld and the Drumochter Pass gives you an idea of scale. If you carry on to Aviemore you'll hit the high Cairngorms where (if its running) you can take the train up Cairngorm Mountain to over 3000 ft (and there's plenty to do down in the village). The road up to the railway carpark gives great views too. Glencoe and north/west Highlands are more iconic/impressive/pointy, but would be a real ballache of a drive from Edinburgh in a day! Apples
