  1. Are the pics matched to the demographic of the stand the seat is in? My central Jarrold has a pic of the 1959 cup run.Quite apt for the over 60s. For the City Stand something featuring The Nest maybe?
  2. Hmm. Not if the evidence of pre season is anything to go by. Not scoring enough goals again.
  3. Hope they''re finished by Tuesday. Some of those poles look very close to where I''ll be sitting!
  4. As good a place as any to raise a young family I suppose, and he has played there before.
  5. Got the letter at the weekend. Been on the list since October 2011, so you might have to wait a bit longer I reckon.
  6. Very easy as a super member. Last season my son and I only missed two games. This season we didn''t go so much but got tickets for every game we wanted, about 7 home games. You do have to be quick off the mark on the day tickets go on sale though.
  7. I''ll be watching. Watched Sunderland last night. Wouldn''t normally but as there is so much added spice I''ll be looking in. Almost resigned to Champ football next season now anyway so sort of comfortably numb.
  8. Happy Clappers taunting those fans worried about our failings to ''put your money where your mouth is'', led me to get on at 16.1 a week or two back. Just missed 25.1. Really hope I lose though.
  9. Relegated, And I''ve put money on it Hope to god I''m wrong.
  10. ..Always amazes me how anybody daring to worry a little bit is termed a non supporter. I love and support my kids doesn''t stop me worrying about them occasionally.
  11. Excellent piece. Thanks for the link Pete. I hadn''t realised it was a peculiarly Norfolk tradition but it explains why my Essex born friend knew nothing of it.
  12. Does this still happen today? When I was a kid in the sixties Valentines night was the time Father Valentine would knock on our door and leave a present for me and my sister on the doorstep. There would be a great pounding on the door after dark and as my parents acted surprised we would run to the door to try and catch a glimpse of him but of course never did. We lived in a rural community and all the kids in the village would look forward with great excitement to this day. It involved the neighbours too, they being the ones thumping on the door and running away. It was quite magical at the time and I think my mother did it for my own kids back in the early 80s. I just wonder if it still goes on.
  13. And Morro at Elland Road for talks according to Yorkshire Evening Post
  14. On this theme. It seems to be difficult to find out your position in the list. I phoned the ticket office to be told the person who could tell me wasn''t there that day. I phoned the next day to be told the person who could tell me was busy. He didn''t need to check this it was an immediate answer as if it was a standard response to get rid of me.. I asked if this was confidential information that the club was reluctant to divulge. He then took my membership number and said he would find out and phone me back, that was three weeks ago! Apparently only the ticket office manager has access to this information. I joined the list in October 2011 so might get one before next season, whatever league we are in.
  15. Might start bracing myself for a late night vigil on the 31st waiting for a surprise a la Harry Kane''
  16. Villas-Boas is at Celtic Park tonight according to 5 live Scottish reporter at the match. Make of that what you will.
  17. Will never happen . We have decent people at the top running our club and they have standards that prohibit signings like this.
  18. Much more professional these days, sports scientists, dieticians, training monitors, heart etc. I''m sure they know what they are doing. Unwinding after a bad defeat seems like a good idea.
  19. Last season my son and I scrambled for every casual home ticket only missing out on Newcastle and Arsenal. Also went to Fulham, West Brom and Blackburn away. Started the same this year. Fulham away, QPR, West Ham at home. It was at this point that we decided money was tight, prices were high and entertainment value was poor so we stopped going. I have a good quality live stream for most games which again is a disincentive to attend. Got a £10 ticket for Luton which says it all really. There must be lots of people out there in the same situation.
