1. I do like to go to work smiling on a Monday morning. Thanks OP for that hilarious post. He never had a chance! Lol
2. Work is already under way to learn from the experiences of this season and to prepare for a busy summer as we focus all of our energies and resources on competing in the Sky Bet Championship next season. ''Competing'', not ''gaining promotion back to the BPL'' seems the board are under no illusions as to how difficult that will be or am I reading too much into those carefully chosen words?
3. I''ve felt disappointed for a few days. Relieved it''s over. Glad we won''t have to put up with all the BPL media bullsh*** surrounding the top clubs. Hopeful we will win a few games next season.
4. Warnock or Malky or anyone else who has a track record of getting teams promoted from the Champ. Next season is no time to gamble on untried and untested managers at that level.
5. I have been wondering how much of a pay cut Malky would be prepared to take. I just don''t think we could pay the money Tan was able to. Is it therefore a foregone conclusion that he would even take the job?
6. 2 from our house gone to buyback about an hour ago.
7. Don''t like the phrase ''.....hope he scores the goals to get them out of the championship''. We spent all this season hoping he''d eventually score the goals to keep us in the BPL. We need cast iron guarantees as far as that is possible where a striker is concerned if we are to rise again first time.
8. Let''s hope the weather improves or it might be grounded, now wouldn''t that be hilarious.
9. Keep them all?! What even those who were sh*** !?
10. Good article on this in todays EDP. In last ten years only 26% of clubs bounce straight back. 50% have still not returned in those 10 years. An average of 4 years to return to top flight. Interestingly City are the only club in that time whose attendances increased after relegation. Average income dropped by 20 million oh, and there''s a 30% chance of dropping into League 1 !!!
11. Or the board could be so mortified by the results of their mistakes this season and so desperate to atone for them they move heaven and earth to bring in a top quality manager with a proven track record and give him money to spend on quality players. I know what I would be doing if I were McNally.
12. "Not looking forward to seeing insulting bids from clubs like Hull, Burnley and West Ham". Now we know how Leeds felt :-)
13. I agree with most of the what the OP says although there is a degree of rose tinted specs about life in the Championship. I can recall many seasons of mid table mediocrity there that felt every bit as disappointing as this.
14. The problem is being seen to reward failure having only gained one point from 4 games so far, but a win against Arsenal along with a good performance and who knows.
15. PJF, given that criteria, how they fit into the club rather than past experience, Neil Adams could do it. He knows the traditional Norwich way of playing football inside out he''s been here long enough.
16. Anyone can see its embarrassing because of the timing. This was known about months ago but we didn''t seem bothered then when relegation was by no means a foregone conclusion.
17. I guess that''s the end of the special relationship/friendly final nonsense.... Hugely embarrassing from us. Thought we were better than that.
18.
The fans are as much at fat as any. The constant negative attitude on here, on canary call, in the stands and in general about CH from the start of the season had a huge effect on the players/management etc. If only we all understood whT support really means.
The players not seeming to care on the pitch. The constant negative attitude of the previous manager with his tactics and in his post match interviews praising the often inept opposition on TV and radio has had a huge effect on me too to be honest.
19. i will be backing NCFC 100% as always, willing them on as I have done for 48 years.......... we''re still gonna lose though!
20. Voted for Snoddy a while back. Seemed like he was the only one to give a t0zz in a lot of games. Gives his all and clearly showed he cares.
21. That will be six points we won''t get next season if Fulham come down with us. Never want to play them again quite frankly.
22. Hope it doesn''t come down to the rub of the green, we all know who''s likely to benefit from that at Old Trafford
23. ''Tickets for these matches will only be available to supporters who have purchased tickets from the Club within the past five years'' From official site. Must mean away tickets surely!
