1. I think that Lambert is shrewd enough to see where our problems are and address the areas we need to strengthen during January, if we dont get quoted silly prices that is. I would like to see the spine of our team reinforced for the 2nd half of the season, we are in a great position where with the correct squad strengthening we could quite well maintain our love affair with the middle reaches of the Prem table. Ideally Lambert and the board could move 2 or 3 players off our Premier squad list and loan them out for the rest of the season, like Wilbraham, Lappin etc who are all decent guys but not up to the standard of football we are now at. Otbc :)
2. Indeed he is... credit where credit''s due..... Does BB know what the fulltime score will be as im about to place my bets, cheers!!! :)
3. Do we even have 3 fully fit centre backs to play ?? They seem to be dropping like flies at the moment.... I think its more likely Lambert will go with 5 across the middle, johnson and Crofts to let Chelsea know we are no pushovers and Fox or Hoolahan to provide a creative spark.... with Bennett and Pilkington on the wings we can use their pace on the counter with Holt doing his usual superb holding the ball up job!!! I''d be surprised if Lambert goes too defensive as we arent going to keep Chelsea at bay for 90 minutes .. attack is the best form of defense as they say!!! #otbc :)
4. The Wigan goalie reminded me off my sunday league footy days when we had a different keeper every week and most of them took short goal kicks as they hated kicking the ball long.... cant believe this guy Al whatever his name is is actually a prem goalie.
5.

no one going for the 4-5-1 that PL''s been trying in pre-season?
4-5-1 certainly isn''t out of the question, if we were to play that formation I would expect to see this line up: Ruddy R.Martin Barnett De Laet Tierney Fox Johnson Bennett Surman Hoolahan Holt
This is a good shout, the 4-5-1 sounds defensive but with Bennett, Surman, Wes and Holty it will be flexible enough for the swift counter attack . To be honest it could be one of a number of different formations and personnel which is great testament to Lamberts signings this summer to go with our existing squad. Roll on saturday, its going to be a great day and atmosphere !! Otbc :)
6. You never know, with 17 coaches it would be lucky if they sold the very last Wigan match ticket at the same time as the last coach was full. Defo worth a punt mate!!!
7. Aye, fantastic support once again, it''ll be a grand day out, hopefully after 4:45pm too !!! Otbc :)
8. Have you actually asked the Ticket Office if they have any seats on the Coaches left ??... Its possible they may have one or two places still available despite the match tickets being sold out.., worth a shot. Good Luck !!
9.
Brilliant! You''ve rumbled me - I live in a blue and white shed just down the road from the north stand. I am actually a Norwich fan, but not one of those deluded fans who think life revolves around the club. Football is a job and a business and the fans don''t really mean that much to the club. They''re just kept sweet so they keep pumping money into the club on matchdays and in the club shop. Back to the issue, who cares if Holt goes? If he stays, I doubt he''ll score more than 6 this season. Cash in for the past it striker and get a proven prem striker.
*Yawn Yawn* ..... When do the kids go back to school ???
10.
Put this up before....my first ever ticket. Still have it.
Ebay ??? :)
11. The first update on twitter said he made a superb double save so maybe get all the facts before beating Ruddy with a stick.
12. For me i still believe we will get about 5000 there, with less than two weeks to go now fans are going to get more and more excited for the new season snapping up the majority of tickets still available.. well i hope so, will make for a superb atmosphere in the away end !!! Ive just got this feeling that after not getting a win away all season last time we were in the Prem we are destined to get one straight away, sods law and all that pony #otbc
13. These things happen i guess, i was moaning the other day about having a two week break only 3 games into the season but in this case it may help us to get Vaughan, Pilkington and Ward back fully fit by the time we play West Brom...
14.

I think that''s a bit harsh on Lansbury. He always put in 100% when he played and didn''t complain when he spent a lot of game on the bench. Very unlike Bentley who, even when he was good, was a bit lazy and came across as thinking he was the best player in the world. That said I think I''d probably take Pacheco, he''s an obvious medium term replacement for Hoolahan, who probably only has 2-3 seasons left at the top level, whilst he can also give us something different playing up front. I''d take them both in a heartbeat, but I just think Pacheco offers more that we don''t currently have than Lansbury. Also as you said, Pacheco has seemed more interested in coming back.
I have absolutely no problem with Lansbury''s effort or performances, and like I said I would take him. But he didn''t really seem to have any emotional attachment to the club, more just fully satisfying his professional obligations. You can''t deny that Lansbury has a bit of an ego though? His Twitter account says it all really, he does conform to some of the more cynical stereotypes of footballers? Basically, I can''t see him sticking around if we went down, Pacheco on the other hand might be willing to give it a season or half a season to see how things go. Lansbury would perhaps be our Francis, Pacheco would perhaps be our Ashton, in that respect. As for Bentley, I suspect Lambert would have managed him much more effectively than Worthington. Worthy was a good manager (kinda) but discipline problems were pretty commonplace, Worthy admitted that he couldn''t manage Bentley. If Bentley (or anybody) played up with Lambert like that they would be kicked out of Dunston Hall within hours and sent packing! But I agree, would take either in a heartbeat, just trying to pick holes..... necessary to choose one :-) I''d love to have Henri here, but I can''t help but feel that Dani is the one who truly has something special. He is nicknamed The Assassin for a start, how can''t you want a player with that nickname? I think The Horse and The Assassin would make a great partnership in the Prem.
What a great name for a Pub,'' The Horse and The Assassin''. Im thirsty already.
15.

Why does it have to be in the barclay?
Because if it were in the River End it would probably be mistaken for a communal ''knee blanket''..........
Haha... thats very true!!!!
16. I believe this is a well covered subject but as you missed it i''ll mention it. I rang the ticket office friday and was told that due to Wigan''s printing problems the tickets aren''t arriving at Carrow Rd until tuesday or wednesday of next week. They will be on general sale,... Adults are £20, not sure what the other prices are though. As for amount of tickets well Wigan''s away end holds 5400 but as someone else pointed out they dont normally use the first few rows of the stand due to safety/police concerns ??? Expect at least 5000 on sale, im sure they will go fairly quickly, will make for a great first away day in the Prem :)
17. Pilkington for me. Ive watched a few youtube video''s of Bennett, Vaughan, Morison and Pilkington and whilst they all impressed me with there skill and eye for goal it was Pilkington who stood out, he reminds me of a taller, stockier version of Huckerby, beating players time and again, cutting inside, dancing through defences and shooting with either foot... cant wait to see him grace the Premier League and prove a few doubters wrong... i like everyone of us just hopes his ankle holds up.. he certainly deserves some good luck after that horrible injury !!! OTBC :)
18. The proof will be in the pudding so to speak, as others have mentioned if Lambert feel''s he needs experienced back up then im sure by the end of August we will have someone in place... If not then Lambert will have made it clear that he has faith in young Rudd and Steer to provide cover and competition during the season for Ruddy... Possibly loaning Rudd or Steer out so one isn''t just rotting away in the stands on match day .... In Lambert we trust, it''s going to be an amazing season, im so excited, these are certainly good times to be a City fan :) OTBC
19. What about Eadie and McVeigh,... then maybe Lambert could bring them on if we are struggling to break down a stubborn defence next season.
20.
He is without a club and on a free for one very good reason. He is crap. Haha. Spot on !!! There''s one or two fairly handy keeper''s out of contract with the experience that could help us out, im sure Lambert has it all planned out and will let us know in due course ... In Lambert we trust :)
21. I totally agree and cant wait for all our hungry and ''unproven'' (at this level) players to go and show the rest of the Premier League just what they are capable of.... I firmly believe we will prove the many pundits and doubters wrong and go on to finish around the middle of the table.. bring it on!!! In Lambert We Trust !!!!!
22.
We at Loftus Road will be celebrating being Champions, that means being the best team and finishing on top of the league. Hope you enjoy you''re party but there is only one team which will be lifting the Championship trophy come saturday and it won''t be you.Although if it makes you feel better you could always look at it the American way and call yourselves 1st Runner up LOL.Looking forward to the easy 6 points we''ll be taking from you next year though, so that we can be thankful for and at at least you''re English even though you''re inbreds. Oh well can''t have it all.
Jim Henson would be proud of you son.
23. Baadiff 3 - 3 Middlesbrough Portsmouth 2 - 4 Norwich
24.
I''m hoping to move from The Championship to The Premier League.
Lets hope we are all joining you in this move mate!!!!!! OTBC :)
25.
Ensure that you''re suitably attired.....
Club Cabbage..haha . Class photo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
