1. Last time I went to the Stadium of Light I froze my knackers off while singing "we all dream of a team of Wilbrahams" relentlessly with about 50 others. We played horrendously, Frazier Campbell scored that ridiculous volley and we lost 3-0.Looking forward to visiting early in the season.

  2. Not sure what the full story is but after chatting to a Villa fan at the weekend, it seems Lowton was doing well. He allegedly struggled to live away from Sheffield and moved back without Lambert knowing. Obviously that would cause problems if true.

If that''s accurate, i''m not sure he''d be comfortable coming down to Norfolk but if he''s desperate for first team footy then who knows.

  3. Mentioned this to my girlfriend the other day. Would be ace to have it as maybe a second disc to the season review. They could charge a bit more for a really well produced & packaged set rather than two separate products.

  4. I walked to Wembley from my hotel which unknowingly took me past the Boro pubs. Got some minor stick but no violence. One thing that struck me was that they thought they''d got promotion sealed before a ball was kicked. All I heard was "mighty Boro and we''re going up", references to the two previous fixtures and a general sense of entitlement/arrogance.

Last night''s Trafalger Square takeover looks comical now. LOAD. BLOWN.

  5.

I only got:

"Oh what can it mean, to a sad Irish basta*d and a sh*t football team"

It was a corker but wish I knew it all!
It''s Daydream Believer by the Monkees, look it up
Lol, no I know the original thanks! Just didn''t know the full replacement lyrics.

  6.
My daughter supports Swindon but never goes to watch but she wanted to go and watch them at Wembley so, this morning, I booked two tickets for the playoff final on the page posted above. IT WAS HARD WORK !   If it''s half as hard to get ticket for Norwich it will be a nightmare !
Hard work in what sense? I just had a look and it appears there''s shed loads of tickets left.https://www.eticketing.co.uk/swindontown/details/event.aspx?itemref=1174

  7. It does strike me as quite poor form to be actively promoting the availability of memberships.I''ve been to 10 away games this season but as i''m not a season ticket holder, my chances of getting to the away leg are sadly zero. I''ll certainly be trying to get a ticket to the home leg on Sunday morning but i''m not too hopeful.

  8.

Not 100% certain but i''m sure I''ve heard a story about manhole covers in NY being made in Rotherham.
Nearly, Guest and Chrimes made the famous fire hydrants used over NYC, and the stadium is built on the site by their former factory.
Rotherham town centre is an absolute hole and one of the few places in the UK i''ve felt genuinely unsafe. I used to live in Greasbrough which is about a mile or so out of the centre.
I''ll give you the ''hole'' part (even if it''s more the people than the actual place that''s the issue), but as for feeling unsafe - you''re taking the pi$$ surely???I''ve lived in the area since being about 5 years old (now nearly 37) and I''ve never felt like that whenever I''ve gone into the town centre, so really not sure exactly why you would. Christ, you''ll have people thinking it''s like being in bloody Millwall at this rate!!!
I was being sincere but maybe ''unsafe'' is a little strong on reflection. To me it always felt as if there was an odd atmosphere in the centre. It''s only one opinion & I only lived in the area for just under 3yrs before moving to Sheff. Cheers for clarifying the Guest & Chrimes thing btw.

  9. Not 100% certain but i''m sure I''ve heard a story about manhole covers in NY being made in Rotherham. I could be totally wrong.

  10. I think that''s exactly it. It was just a huge release because things weren''t dropping for us.Bolton''s timewasting was ridiculous, how Lennon could kick-off at the ref when one of his players got booked for taking an age over a throw in was beyond me. Listening to him have a little tantrum in his post-match interview was ace.

  11.

I don''t think any (well, a handful at most) left early. The reaction was just unreal, I was up climbing on my seat and hugging everyone! It was wild. Such a good day. Got stopped a few times at Manchester Piccadilly with comments of "last minute winner wasn''t it?" once people saw my shirt. Was still shaking a few hours later!
I haven''t seen scenes like that for a long, long time, makes the long day worthwhile!
Certainly does. Thought i''d been given a nose bleed after taking a celebrating fist to the nose but luckily it was fine. Even the awkward, hot, smelly replacment bus service back to Manchester couldn''t take the gloss off! Gutted I can''t be at the Leeds game but seriously looking forward to something special (hopefully) at Rotherham.
