  1. Agree, but like I said without them he’s failed in a massive way, so must indicate what value they were to him. Lets be honest sometimes managers fit a club, make it successful and then get that big offer, how many actually take the next big team to success not many and most get sacked in 12 months! Maybe they should look to build on the success they’re making than jump ship..
  2. I think a massive part of that success wasn’t Lambert but his back room who by most accounts actually did a lot of the training and heavily involved in the tactics of games. This showed when he left to take charge without them! He’s hardly been a success since!
  3. What did we do, sent our second highest striker out on loan, bought in a player who the manager doesn’t have much faith in yet! Wagner must know what his future is, so is he just going through the motions too?
  4. So just three then! My point! Idah scored 6 for us and assisted in at least one direct. To try and claim involved in that’s every player on the pitch then! Given it’s a managers decision he’s going with the old journeyman so fair play to him, but it’s probably Adam’s who sorted out Idah loan and strange that no sell on clause was set of Idah wanted out of the club, I think it’s possible that it was best interest for the club and player to get a loan move and come back under the new coach if the change happens!
  5. Personally I think Wagner isn’t Knappers type of coach, though I like Wagner, he does appear to be very irritated recently in his interviews, my reading of the club is that Knapper will want his man in and if reports are correct then Cuesta will be that guy ( very well thought of). To back that up, SVH signed by Knapper and Idah out on loan without a buy out clause shows to me that Wagner is here till May, unless he gets the club up, otherwise he’ll be gone…might be totally wrong!
  6. I never mentioned time on pitch but he’s scored enough this year to warrant a start, the strange thing is we have this notion because Barnes played he’s at 10 when in reality most of the time he’s higher up the pitch than Sargent as Sargent tracks back, so I’d say he’s not a 10 but a forward. So why hasn’t there been more games where both Sargent & Idah started up top? I’ve been very pro Idah, we need players who are contributing with goals now we are missing Rowe! Like I said I don’t rate Barnes, think we’ve changed our game just to get him in and it’s sad!
  7. Really, can you back that up with how many goals he’s actually set up directly to Sargent? How many has he been pivotal in directly creating?
  8. Indeed, it’s not like Pukki didn’t make it with Celtic! Hmmm. ****e league! Why try to diss the lads quality finishing?
  9. Argh the Superior support syndrome again! So you think he’s been given a fair chance by all those fans turning on him online?
  10. Has he? I think he’s another player who rose tinted fans see more than he actually delivers, still each to their own, I’d much rather start a player who’s score 11 goals than on old journeyman released on a free! Just my view.
  11. Hasn’t got the physicality of Barnes! He’s just an old scrapper! Idah has the size and power and end product unlike Barnes! Just hasn’t been given the chance by a lot of online supporters! They’d rather watch someone who fights than score goals.
  12. Absolutely brilliant header! Those who keep bugging up Barnes and criticising Idah out to be a little more humble, I’d much rather we kept a striker who score 10 goals and creates more!
  13. I believe so and that’s why I still think Wagners actually doing OK, with some very questionable choices in subs and starting 11. I was one saying top 10, mid table, so doing better than I expected.
  14. But last year a lot of people were saying if we were reliant on Sargent we are in trouble! So is Wagner to be praised in how he’s bought through the younger players? Rowe, Sainz, Sargent, Sara? How good would we have been if we actually spent some decent money on younger better players than those old free journeymen? Even Knapper has said he wants to change the squad!
  15. It’s the travelling through Norfolk effect! Every club says of **** it’s Norwich away this week! Five hours travelling and all those chuffing potholes!
  16. Sorry Monty, in their prime say five years ago absolutely agree! But we have these players in their 30’s or heading past their best! We have a bang average squad in my opinion…that’s just what I see, look at those above us and see who has anywhere near as many old journeymen in their squads or teams!
  17. I don’t know? The reality is we only really know our own squad as we watch them week in week out, we see highlights of other teams and comment on their players! For me we lost a skilful squad and tried to replace it with old pros and our own players who previously were sent out on loan to get them out the door! Hernandez & Placheta! It’s been a massive readjustment last summer and you can’t play the brand and style of football we’ve become used to with this squad, we look far better when we get McLean at the back and Numez with Sara because there’s an outlet and a player who can see that at the back! Lose key players and we lose our shape and threat! No Rowe, possibly no Numez, is we lose Sargent or Sara were a very ordinary team!
  18. We are where we are as I said five who all have had a good amount of time on the sidelines too! So no I don’t think so……I think he’s doing OK, but do agree that his selections and subs certainly can be questioned at times!
  19. See this is where I disagree, we have a very average squad bar five players, Sargent, Sara, Nunez, Rowe & Gunn. McLeans been very solid, Duffy OK, but the rest just about championship mid table level! Peopke forget the quality of players we lost last season and replaced with very average players. Given the injuries to the key players and quality he’s had to deal with I think Wagners done OK, far higher than I anticipated in terms of league position.
  20. Yeh, I think the Idah move was more a requirement to take the pressure he was under from our fans who didn’t really appreciate his performances! Some absolutely love Barnes yet rip the ****e out of Idah! Can’t blame the lad for wanting to get out on loan to get game time and a break.
  21. Lovely sense of superiority! As my mum used to say if you can’t say something nice about people best not say anything!
  22. I’m not sure it’s as effective as people make out, Sarah & Rowe have gained us lots of points! Barnes was decent in the first 5 games after that fell off a cliff in form and even worse after his injury! Bar a 20 Minute off the bench decent performance he’s just trying to thug up the opposition and some of our fans like that I don’t! He’s a bit part player with his best way behind him, there’s no way our club should be reliant on such a player, just my opinion, I’d much rather see us building for the future and blooding VH.
  23. No thanks, what we really missed was McLean at the back, he far better and more effective there than Hanley or Gibson!
  24. No but when you watch an old journeyman who’s only scored 4 goals get ahead of you without any real expectation of him scoring you must ask yourself if VH is a better option! But we’re stuck with Barnes for at least another season!
