  1. Absolutely devastating news. My heart goes out to his friends and family. Rest in Peace.
  2. I totally agree. I was impressed with Surman yesterday. Very creative player. He will definately be a great asset this season. What are we betting - Surman to score 20th Dec against Wolves? :)
  3. I know the bloke has taken a fair bit of criticsm today but I would just like to say he was excellent when he came on today. Obviously he got the goal but he seemed very strong against the opposition and I thought all round did a great job. I was really proud of the boys today. What an overall great week - they say it comes in 3''s! 1st free coach to Wolves, 2nd managed to get tickets to see Michael McIntyre on Tuesday (getting up at 530am this morning proved to be worth it!) and 3rd and most importantly a fantastic 3 points! Onwards and Upwards! OTBC!
  4. Im sure if u get there early enough sat morn u will get a ticket :)
  5. Til I kind of see your point but how can u expect the club to allow cheaper travel for anyone else who doesnt go via coach? By docking ticket prices? Altho I think ticket prices for this trip are fairly reasonable. I can see it upsets some people but seems a shame that positive measures like this always get shot down which is a shame. Im now putting on my tin hat!
  6. This is the only game I have been really worried about. However hopefully Man City will think we will be easier and have a poor game - bit like Man U situation.
  7. When coming back from Villa our coach did not stop but I was glad to get quicker tbh. The coach does have some advantages as sometimes police escort coaches out so people is cars take ages to get out (like at Villa)
  8. NCFC offering free coach to Wolves game. I am proper chuffed bout this! We had already applied and I thought £34 was reasonable for ticket and coach (I am a student) to to pay just £15 has made my day!
  9. Agree Canaries Utd... Martin stopped 3 goals being scored and made some superb saves. I felt really sorry for his mistake after having such a fantastic game. So no he should not be dropped.
  10. I partly agree with Bryangunnshairline... Although a risk - we have in previous season done well with the diamond and although QPR should not be doubted, I think it would be the best opportunity the team will have to try out the formation. However QPR is a massive game and 3 points is greatly needed to boost confidence and morale etc as 3 loses or 2 loses and a draw will probably be seen as disapointing and therefore playing with the formation might not be a good idea. I dunno im just glad im not the one to make the decision...
  11. As much as it would be nice to have a clean sheet, a 2-1 win is not much different to to a 1-0 win or whatever. Obviously we are making some silly mistakes and have yet to get a clean sheet but so far we have won much more games compared to last time we were in the prem! The clean sheet will come but as long as we keep scoring that is imo the most important thing.
  12. I stayed up despite be shattered to watch it last night. No idea why I bothered I think they only said the word ''Norwich'' once and that was at the beginning when they said we are now going to watch Norrwich v Arsenal. What a waste of time!
  13. I agree with the original poster. Also Ruddy Wizzard you have hit the nail on the head - ;ambert has worked miracles with his team but if we are up against a team like Arsenal their team is worth a hell of a lot more than ours so to lose by just a goal - why complain?! It wasnt that we werent good it was just the opposition were better (because of the money & experience behind them) imo
  14. Yes he went down BUT he wasnt going to score from that angle and in fairnessthe slightest but of contact I think any other player would have done the same thing in that situation. He is coming on to try and salvage a point, not to keep 3 points so I dont think its a completly fair observation as he does win free kicks etc. In other season we have been on the front foot, opposed to the back foot and maybe that is the difference. I dunno just an idea.
  15. The way I see it, and as Eadie said on canary call - it wasnt that we played badly its just that Arsenal are a very good team and that cant be denied. Arsenal were incredably quick and with that multitude of players/money thats really what should be expected (I know I will get shot down for that!) The prem is pretty much divided - the top teams such as Man U/City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham (u get my drift) and althought I am certain we will give out the odd suprise result amongst these teams, it is the other teams that are our main focus. We wouldnt have expected a win on here before the game so there is no point fearing relegation for losing by just 1 goal to arsenal.
  16. I agree - It goes without saying that Arsenal have a very strong squad and Van Persie is on fire! I am pleased to have only lost by 1 goal. I feel sorry for Martin I bet he is gutted having been so solid for the whole game and then one mistake cost us. Although Arsenal were the better team, we did show a lot of character. I am quite nervous about the QPR game, however onwards and upwards and im sure we can take 3 points.
  17. Obviously man u fans will sit in with Swansea as will Arsenal with us. However I agree that these colours should not be displayed (dispite it being a rather thick thing to do). It seems highly unfair that a sell out crowd week in week out means that true supporters are unable to get a ticket and then a ''so called'' arsenal fan takes the seat. I know its a difficult problem to manage but still.
  18. Generally a message goes out on the canaries site stating what ballot groups have been sucessful a few days or week after application closes. You will then be sent tickets in post :)
  19. I have applied - cheap as chips for me being a student - at most £34 with coach..... cant complain at that! Might even slip into Yellows for £5 lunch before I make the journey!
  20. Mister Chops I can fully assure u that I am NOT a binner! I have had my season ticket for 14 years :) I was just making a passing comment that some people enjoy heated debates thats all or tend to lure on the side of pessimism - I dont see how that suddenly makes me a binner!
  21. Whatever happens in the long term I hope Martin does well for himself during his spell at CP.
