  1. "There really doesn''t need to be a ''but''...." To be brutally honest, most of the posts on this forum don''t need any input from you. Obnoxious, irrelevant and ignorant are three words that always spring to mind..... ....and there really doesn''t need to be a ''but''......
  2. A win is a win is a win..... and Norwich created enough reasonable chances to make the score line a little more realistic, but..... Let''s be brutally honest....Aston Villa were shockingly, woefully bad, leaving Ruddy offering them their best hope with his questionable kicking. Anything less than a win last night, against a team offering zero threat, would surely have ensured the removal of AN as manager. I''m not sure how Mulumbu didn''t receive the MOM award. An immense performance that is several notches up on Tettey, and exactly what supporters have been waiting for since his arrival.
  3. As with the majority of the Norwich squad, this player''s stock rises every time he finds himself on the treatment table. Get him back on the pitch and he is as uninfluential as the rest of them. High-time AN picked the team and then those players not selected are sent out on match day to fulfill the fixture.....got nothing to lose anymore.
  4. A midfielder who scores goals. Captain material as well.
  5. " so how would we achieve it then if we are that bad ?" Judging by the first part of the season - by the ineptitude of other teams, rather than scintillating performances from the team. Judging by recent results/performances - there is nothing to fear..... We won''t.
  6. The current squad of players is so far removed from a fully functional, competitive PL squad that promotion this season would be absolutely futile. Allied to this, the club has proved time and again its inability to spend money wisely or put into place a scouting network that is fit for purpose. The current setup does not lend itself to the club stabilising itself in the PL. It looks very much that the club will be finding itself at the start of another 7-year plan with a mass cull of the current crop, and a gamble on the promising youngsters that are carrying no scars or baggage.
  7. For a player who cost as much as he did.........earned as much as he has.......for playing as little as he has.....at a standard that for the most part has been distinctly average.....Bennett is a f''g disgrace....... ....and is symptomatic of the problems within the playing squad at this moment in time.....
  8. The biggest problem at NCFC at this moment in time is that we have a group of defenders that would be hard pressed to prevent a local pub team from scoring against them. Quite how anybody could think that Ryan Blank Personality Giggs, with zero experience, could transform the under-performing rabble into an effective defensive unit, I find hard to comprehend.
  9. a) 5 leagues, each with 20 teams, with matches played for the most part at weekends and FA Cup matches played midweek or b) the current setup
  10. You need help. Go and see a shrink......
  11. If McGovern is injured for Saturday, then we will still be none the wiser over AN''s level of stubbornness. We will never know if Ruddy would have been selected ahead of McGovern as the ''least worse option''.
  12. AN''s stubbornness with the constant selection of certain players, his inability to play any formation other than one up front, and his single, suicidal decision to retain McGovern for today''s game, has ensured that even his most vociferous supporters must be beginning to doubt his managerial ability.
  13. Both are as poor as each other. Whoever is not playing would appear to be the better keeper.
  14. With Pinto and Olsson eager to attack rather than defend, and with Tettey contributing absolutely sweet FA to either the attack or defence, should AN be trying three at the back? Dispense with Tettey, and play Martin, Bennett and Klose. Martin''s role could be to cover either full-back whenever they are attacking, as well as providing more cover at set-pieces. Dorrans can play the defensive midfield role, but with the added bonus that he can actually pass a football. Trying something different can''t be any worse than continuing with the current weekly defensive disaster.
  15. Tettey is proving a complete waste of space at the moment. As expected, he offers absolutely nothing going forward, and is offering sweet FA in the protection of the defence. Might as well dispense with him entirely and add an extra forward to ease the burden on Jerome.
  16. The sad fact is that this season has proved that we don''t have even one defender on the books that is good enough or consistent enough to play at PL level, and that includes Klose. Promotion would require a complete overhaul, which Smith and Jones clearly don''t have the funds for. A specialist defensive coach should be a priority.
  17. "How''s your hearts you bottlers"? What a way to speak about the team, niggle..... They tried their best.
  18. Ruddy has an unerring ability to dive the wrong way on a penalty.
  19. With a squad of 24 or so players this is inexcusable. The results may have suggested keeping the same team, but the performances have been crying out for changes. To have Jacob and Josh is a godsend as they can be interchanged at will. Pritchard should clearly have been given more opportunities, as much that Brady is underperforming on a regular basis. I also question Tettey''s contribution in home games. If his passing is so unreliable, his shooting woeful, and his ability to help protect the defence and ensure clean sheets so ineffective, we might as well go with an extra attack minded midfielder who can ask more questions of the opposition.
  20. None. Not on the pitch Not on the touch line Newcastle have Shelvey....Huddersfield have Mooy... Norwich are a rudderless team with a seemingly very soft underbelly....
  21. Three!.....don''t want Preston gaining too much confidence......
