  1. It’ll be typical of Norwich to sell Pukki to bag some cash and save £60k pw wages. This is what a Norwich have done all my life. We’ll run with Hugill as he doesn’t rock the boat and is a team player.

This’ll guarantee a 10th EFL positioning next season unless, and this is the big unknown, that Idah finally comes to the party. If he does then the loss of Pukki could be absorbed (along with the midfield chipping in more).

Id start with a first team and switch up at half time tbh.

                           Krul,

    Aarons, Hanley, Gibson, Gianoullis

                   Hayden, PLM

        Cantwell, Dowell, Rashica

                          Pukki

I would go strong as well but I don’t see Pukki or Hanley playing due to not having a break after international duty.

Therefore, if fit, I’d play Idah up front and big Andy at RCB.

I wouldn’t play Cantwell unless he’s going to commit to our EFL campaign. I’d play Josh or play Rachica on the right (just for this game) and give one of the many left wingers a game.

I was advocating for Normann to be played higher up and away from the defensive midfield position after he played that through ball for Pukki.

I was shot down by a few after the suggestion.

Definitely think he has more of a creative side to him compared to defensive and could be more utilised in a central free role box to box type.

I agree, if Normann stayed fit he would be ideal to play higher up the pitch with Hayden as security. He may even be the Stiepermann replacement.  He’s got a great long shot a good passing range he just needs to stay fit.

Its not been perfectly reasonable. You called me egotistical for using stats, evidence and professional expertise opinion to prove you comprehensively wrong.

So it’s not reasonable to have a debate?

Exactly! Your opinion was questioned. What's so unreasonable about that?

Do you want a medal for your deep and thought provoking post of ..." I don't rate Kenny. End of" ?

PS in the time you've wasted whingeing that your opinion is questioned, you could have looked up the stats that prove your opinion to be incorrect and save yourself the embarrassment.

There’s nothing wrong in your questioning my question. That’ll all part of a conversation unless you decide to shut one half of the conversation down because it doesn’t suit you. The world regresses with this type of attitude.

Ah ok, so you ask for figures,  get proven comprehensively wrong so now you've moved the goalposts.

And you had the nerve to call me egotistical 😅😅😅😅

I’m just asking a question. It is allowed funny enough.

Did you go to a Steiner School Jerseyo?

Cos that's exactly what you sound like.

Your opinion has been noted, countered and proved incorrect, but it is if course your right to hold that opinion, no one  is saying it isn't.

What do you expect on a discussion forum?  Most shoite that's posted on here gets challenged or ignored..... Which do you prefer?

What sort of world do we live in if we can’t ask reasonable questions?

Last season, we won 0.58 PPG (18 in 31) with McLean and 0.57 (4 in 7) without.

In 20/21, it was 2.18 with (83 in 38) and 1.75 without (14 in 8), although that does include a few short sub appearances. If you include games where he played at least 45 minutes, it's 2.17 with (65 in 30) and 2.00 without (32 in 16).

McLean isn't up to it in the Premier League, but he played most games this season because he was still better than the other options. That isn't Kenny's fault, it's the recruitment department's for not signing someone better.

It’ll be interesting to see a breakdown of these figures as Kenny could have a positive addition to his stats for example the Watford game and yet it was markedly noticeable the team was far worse as soon as he set foot on the pitch.

Jersey Canary said he believed the facts would show that we were worse with McLean than without him. Someone posted stats (AKA facts) that showed the opposite. That’s not a difference of opinion, that’s him being proven

Then why pose it as an opinion? Why not ask out of interest?

One thing that really narks me is people that express an opinion and then ask someone else to do the leg work to find information that supports their view! That's not how it works. You do your own homework to support your own opinion. If you don't have anything more substantial to back it up with, you can't really get all defensive over it.

May I suggest you frame it slightly differently next time? Eg "My reflection of McLean's season as a regular attendee to games is that he isn't that great. That is a personal perspective, I haven't any facts to back that up and as such statistics could well prove my observations are perhaps edged with my own bias."

Get's you out of jail, if, and only if, you are willing to accept that perhaps you are not standing on the most solid of footings.

Maybe you guys should just agree to disagree? It’s not a right or wrong question it’s just a bunch of opinions that you can perfectly disagree on.

the egotistical thing is trying to convince someone of your belief with no fact. FYI other people having the same option as you isn’t fact that’s just other opinion. The best comparison we would need to prove on a factual basis would be the average points gained with Kenny v’s the average points gained in games he’s missed.

my own view is that he will be a useful squad player.

I posed a question and an opinion with the hope that someone with facts would furnish us with some more detail.

I'm dismissing another point of view based on evidence, stats, and further opinions from experts in the field. That not egotistical, that's a debate (just one that you lose).

So you are egotistical. Thanks for confirming.

Someone did and you ignored it.

My comments aren't egotistical - I'm agreeing with those experts in the field,  the ex professionals with top tier playing experience - im not the one thinking they're wrong and I'm right.

    Thats you.

But by dismissing another point of view is surely the epitome of egotistical? And this is what you are doing.

5 years of comtinuos Championship football unless we unearth major talent to sell will see the club in serious financial crisis.  It maybe fewer seasons to arrive at the tipping point.  It appears another PL £120m has been squandered if Webber's comments about any new recruits have to be made from player sales.  It is universally agreed we need recruits in the midfield as DM and AM positions, looks as they are unlikely to be recruiited as player sales look unlikely.  Lasy seasons dire performance has left the saleable player cupboard bare.  The argument for Idah and Omobamedeli to become the next cash cows is based on restricted evidence, and they need to rteturn from long term injuries.

Self funding is acceptable provided periodic sojourns to ther PL add to the coffers.  Apprently we have failed to cash in on the last 3 relegations.  Parachute payments will only last for 2 seasons.  Don't know how much needs to fund a Championship season would guess upwards of £30m which is probably wildly underestimated.  Income in coming years will be from ticket sales and commercial activities sponsorship etc, this will not cover expenses and in 3 to 5 years will be financially ruinous.

Serious investment will be needed not just some shares exchanged between parties.  Delia train set to hit the buffers sooner rather than later.  Don't expect Webber to charge to the rescue he has become a financial liability.  Maybe some American Brewers can be the answer, there are few alternatives showing any interest.

You’re making the assumption that the players we have bought last summer are worthless, they are not.
We will bring some on and sell some hopefully with a sell on clause. We may not recoup the amount spent but it’s not a complete write off.

Its egotistical to think your opinion is correct over the long list of people I just mentioned you have experience and / or expertise in the field. I get that when you have one manager they can sometimes be 'blind' to something in the fans opinion (although they don't see training week in week out, dont know the situations within the squad etc).

I dont think there's anything wrong about having that opinion but speaking about it on here as if its a fact when your opinion isn't even vaguely backed up by anyone with knowledge or expertise smacks of arrogance.

Personally, if I have an opinion on something that goes against all the experts opinions in that field I do a bit more reading / understanding.

You could also say your comments are egotistical on that basis.
I’ve just stated an opinion hoping that a clever person would be able to furnish us with the data to prove one way or the other.

Thats the thing. This gut feeling has just proven to be a biased view from yourself because a selection of posters on here for some reason decided he was the ultimate problem because he waves his arms when trying to organise other players. A job two consecutive experienced managers trust him with above anyone else in our squad.

And look what happened to the team and them as managers. Playing players like Kenny get you fired.
it’s no good being an organiser when your 10 yards behind your man as they’ve effortlessly ran past you without a challenge.
