1. In preparation for next week, week ten sees us go top of the league after a solid victory over Ipswich at the Carra before our obligatory post-Christmas slide down the table. One of the highlights of the season with a great opener from (the original) Andy Johnson and another decent header. John Polston completed the scoring after Danny Sonner had pulled one back
2. For their lives games they have it much higher up. When they played Leicester on Sky earlier on in the season it was its usual view of the pitch.I think it''s because it''s a shitt television gantry.
3.
Ah yes, I remember that one. I''ve also got a vague recollection of 2 goals in the same game at Carrow Road, maybe a 2-2 draw with Crewe?
Yes, he contributed a bit that season. About as much as David Nielsen before his gambling got the better of him.Scored an important goal at Burnley too, think it might''ve been a blonde Marc Libbra that day.
4. The 1988-1989 season review didn''t seem to show the Sutton United FA Cup which would have been suitably relevant.Anyhow, after our 4-0 humiliation on the opening at Millwall, our first home game was lightened up by a certain Frenchman which changed the direction of our season.Viva March Libbra, 18th August 2001.
5.
That and Peter Drury exclaming whilst the cameras are on the Wolves fans at Carrow Road "Now they''re feeling better", as Sturridge put them one-nil up. Just to get three goals back in the second half.
It might''ve been Jon Champion actually. They used to sound the same.
6.
Classic isn''t it. I''m forever in awe at the amount of care he took in colouring in all the letters just to make his message extra clear for the Wolves players (and the TV cameras). Good times.
He must''ve done it before the game too! That and Peter Drury exclaming whilst the cameras are on the Wolves fans at Carrow Road "Now they''re feeling better", as Sturridge put them one-nil up. Just to get three goals back in the second half. Those play-offs changed everything.
7.
Brilliant, cheers for that, I distinctly remember being at this game as a 10 year old but I''d forgotten how good Eadie''s goal was!
s10, your avatar is my most favourite football fan shot ever.An extremely temperamental Molineux crowd disappointed again and utter humiliation for that guy on ITV Sport. It''s a shame we don''t hate Wolves anymore.
8. City vs. Crewe Alexandra, 1999-2000. Sport Desk Pete''s suggestion. In the midst of many seasons of midtable mediocrity, a few games of real sparkle stand-out in six seasons of at Norwich City Football Club. And this probably isn''t even one of them.Darren Eadie returns from an umpteenth injury to secure City''s vital first win on the season. Would Eadie be so remembered if he was in a better team?
9.
I give up, it doesn''t recognise some players, I tried Ruddy, Surman, Crofts, Ward from the current lot, and it didnt recognise them!
It''s only players from 2000 to 2009.
10. It''s so both Ipswich and Norwich fans can get ppissed up and violent during the day time before an EVENING EAST ANGLIAN DERBY, the Lakenham Firm then can start a riot with the deluded Rozzer Scummers and everybody can sleep it off on Good Friday.Thumbs up.
11. Such fickle fans. That was such a painful read."What formation do they play?""I heard they play good football.""My housemate''s a City fan so I know they are top of League 1".
12.
... slightly more obscure, Eadie''s match-winning return from injury at home to Crewe in 99?
I know just the one. Obscure it is.
13.

Any chance of Leeds at Elland Road 0-4 with the goal of the season from Goss past a pedestrian Lukic? Cheers CR
They''ve got that one too....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHmEU9f_Jdo
Cheers Pete. Perhaps there''s one misplaced in your memory that you''d quite like? It''d be the least we can do for you ''overseeing'' this blatent infringement/blog plug.
14. Yes agreed that is bloody annoying. But we don''t have the managerial maestro Bryan Gunn, Doherty at the back, Gow as our creativity nor Otsemobor as our solid right-back.See the difference?
15. The Saturday before our midweek second-leg trip to Vitesse Arnhem, City score five at Goodison Park with Efan Ekoku netting four and Chris Sutton the other. This was an era that hadn''t been introduced to the idea of ''rotation'' and ''rest'' so to perform every weekend then elsewhere in Europe midweek seems extremely commendable. Proper football. Our previous Froidee Fillums are always on our Tube channel.
16. All the Wilbraham moaners will be licking their lips at this prospect.
17. Our first ever experience of the play-offs. After guranteeing our place on the very last game of the season, we face Wolves who narrowly missed out on an automatic promotion place.A true ''modern day classic''. McVeigh''s header is still one of the best I''ve ever seen.
18. Anyone else notice the supermarket-quality DVDs? Purple on the underside, hardly going to last more than five years! Also the deskjet print quality of the disc sticker, not even inscribed properly.
19. Italian managers don''t like creative midfielders.
20. Only Hoolahan''s Tuesday springs to mind, Nelson''s against Charlton, Barnett against Leeds, Croft''s two against Sheffield United, although not completely direct from corners...We''ve conceded a lot more.
21. Millwall v Norwich City, Sunday 22nd January 1989.Extra highlights on this weeks fillum, for this televised Canary Classic. Who was there? Some of Gunn''s saves were phenomenal.
22.
the other two goals were from Butterworth and Bowen in the first ten minutes , they got back to 2 -2 at half time and pummelled us in the second half - Gunn had a stormer , and we broke away for Flecky to score in the last minute for the win , Saint or Greavesie was the co commentator and gave MOM to Hurlock - to get out alive presumably Great game
That''s next week sorted!
23. Sutton United and Millwall were in the same week, January 1989. Wasn''t Teddy Sheringham playing for them then? Might''ve scored. Soccerbase.com doesn''t have many details for that season.
