3. If this could be PLs last game in charge, then I want to see it. How much are they going to sting me for an adult ticket in the Barclay? I will probably go, if its not too cold.
 4.
Ok this has sort of been covered earlier today but that was before we knew whether Lambert would be in charge tomorrow or not, now the attendance for this game before all this hullabaloo would i guess have been between 11-14,000 depending on away following, weather etc. Lambert may be thinking im off to talk to Burnley after this game, speculation but highly likely, this is how i see it , if this game sold out and the ground was packed to the rafters constantly chanting his name throughout the game maybe just maybe seeing such passionate support for him to stay may make him think twice, maybe he wants to see how much we want him to stay or maybe its his way of saying goodbye i really dont know. Its a long shot but i think he`s loved his time with us as much as we have loved the last 17 months with him here, but as i see it we have nothing to lose, so tell the wives that DIY day is cancelled and shopping is postponed till sunday, lets hope he stays :)) OTBC Tim
How much is a ticket? I might brave it if its not too cold.
 5.

In my opinion it was a little unprofessional, on a Friday the day before a game, with no training session in which to calm players nerves.Yeah its the FA Crap, he is probably going to play kids, but his job is to win games of football and to prepare for matches in the best possible fashion.Great manager, yes. But never bigger than the club, not this club. This week is about getting to the next round of the FA Cup, not a national Paul Lambert day.I hope that he stays, but I will always be wary and untrusting of him from now onwards.
I''m sure he''ll be devastated when he reads that.
I doubt that Lambert spends his time trawling around forums though, does he, unlike you and - for one night - me. Out of interest, do you really consider the City and Trowse to be two entirely different places? It takes about ten minutes to walk from one to the other....
 6.
Worst pointless thread ever, go away.
I thought it was actually pretty good, although it is debateable whether the pun was intentional or unintentional. That is, if you even noticed the pun, which you probably didn''t.

 9.

Hucks6dh6 is Huckerbys Twitter account, and he''s having a rum old time tweeting gentle digs at Burnley fans. City Legend and I''d happily have him in charge if Lambert left [:)]
Would you seriously put somebody with no management experience in charge of our club whilst it sits within touching distance of the automatic promotion spots? No way, if he wants to manage this club he can go and prove himself at Cambridge United or somewhere. If Lambert leaves it has to be Malky Mackay, Martin O''Neill or Chris Hughton.
Eddie Howe and Gus Poyet ... just to throw another couple of names in the hat ;)
I''m not having Poyet if he brings that dirty Argentine scummer Mauricio Taricco!!! Filth!!!
 10.
Why should the rumours end? Paul Lambert has done great here. He hasnt fallen out with ne playing staff so why would he turn his back on them. He will still manage them tomorrow and until everything is official he cant leave under contract. Its obvious, otherwise they would shut it in the bud now. He will probably be leaving the club tomorrow evening
Of course he can leave under contract, how else do you think he joined Norwich? If a recently relegated League One team can afford to illegally steal a manager, then so can a team with a big whack of cash from parachute payments.
 11.
Ever felt shafted by your teams manager just when everything seemed to be going so well ? Just watch his smug facially expressionless interview on SSN, then detect that little glimmer in the eye that says I know something you don''t and I''m alright Jack. Seen it before somewhere.
Yes, I have felt shafted by my teams manager just when everything seemed to be going so well. Only it was 16 years ago, his name was Mike Walker. Oh, that was another one of you lot wasn''t it? Only, rather oddly, you sacked him whilst you were at the top of the league - that''s Colchester United for you, a shambles of a club in a shit county, followed by a load of fat bald men whose Essex slag wives are busy shagging Jack Tweed lookalikes at 3pm each Saturday.
 12.

Everyone in the club from cleaner through to McNally / Delia has clearly been told not to say a word - those under director level probably with the threat of losing their job. I still reckon we are already talking to Malky. My usual source has replied to several emails today but as soon as I mention the word Lambert I do not get a reply.
I think thats why this is taking so long to be honest
Lol, I just said that on another post. I bet that the club have agreed to let Lambert leave, as long as we tie up a replacement first. It had better be a good one though. For me, it has to be Malky or Hughton, nobody else could keep this train on the tracks.
 13.
Option B is quite clever but that would take some time
Not neccessarily, Skype and all that, tele-conferencing. Lambert wants out, Malky wants in. Burnley pay Norwich compo, Norwich give some of that to Watford. Lambert gets rich, Malky gets whatever Lambert was on (in other words, a pay rise, Watford are skint).Watford get money, which they need badly. They appoint their reserve coach, or an unemployed manager, and the banks are kept sweet until the summer.Seems look an all round good agreement.
 14.
yeah, if all this Lambert leaving was nonsesne, the club and Lambert would just say so...they wouldn''t reporters and sky sports all outside Carrow Road, if there really was nothing to report
Exactly! I agree.... they are finalising something, and I suspect that the news will be negative. After all that this club, and the board, have been through.... I suspect that they need some positive news to counter it with.
 15.
Blah blah blah blah blah...... I think i might start a thread stating the opposite....
Why not? You clearly aren''t shy when it comes to expressing your opinions in the public arena.
 16.
RealDeliaNCFC just tweeted ''Sad to report but Paul Lambert has resigned... sorry everyone'' followed by ''Official announcement to follow, cannot comment further for now''... Please tell me this is an unofficial account and I can relax again :(
That is the most blatently fake Twitter account that I have ever seen. The simple fact that it was created today of all days, and has two followers, tells you all that you need to know.
 17.
At what age did he move here, does anyone know please??ty
I''m pretty certain that he joined the YTS scheme at 16 alongside Craig Bellamy, who was also 16 at the time. They moved down without their parents, we had some sort of youth scouting network in Wales at the time.
 18. With the rumour having spread throughout the internet, to radio stations, to popular football websites, without any sign of a denial by Lambert, his representatives, the club, or Burnley....I suspect that all parties are:a) Sitting around a table agreeing a compensation package. b) Have agreed a compensation package, but with the agreement that Norwich will tie up Malky Mackay first, the departure of Lambert will be announced with the arrival of Mackay (or similar high profile manager). If there was positive news, McNally and Ferrari would be yapping. There HAS to be either positive or negative news, whether that comes from Burnley or Norwich, unless either scenario a) or b) are happening.
 19.
I lived with a girl years ago who once sh*gged Clint Easton, if that helps.
Well it would help if you still had the number of that girl, who happened to still have the number of Clint Easton, who might have the number of Paul McVeigh, who could subsequently phone a current City player and ask!Come to think of it, probably a long shot that one!
 20.
well actually they are.... I was watching a bit of horse racing at my Grandad''s this afternoon, and there was a 1-10 horse, who came second, beaten by a 20-1.....
That''s a well known trick, create an outright favour, give the impression of it being a dead cert. Thousands flock to ''back the winner'', and the bookies are quids in. When you get odds like that you get people putting thousands on, effectively seeing it as a sure fire means to a guarenteed 10% return. If you ever sit in a bookies for an entire day in front of the screens, I bet you will hear the words "back the favourite" at least half a dozen times.
 21. If so, fancy giving them a tinkle to see whether they know anything? There must be somebody here with a number or two? I have spoken to one former player, who doesn''t know anything at all. That would be the greatest source I suspect, they would be amongst the first to know.....
 22. I am more worried about the players that he may be tempted to take with him and the players who would subsequently wish to leave.Let''s say, hypothetically, that Lambert signs Wes Hoolohan for Burnley on a bosman at the end of the year. Does this not become a vested interest? Seeing as he has control over the playing squad? If Lambert has been stalling on the Hoolohan contract, and then takes Wes to Burnley, I would be furious. There are plenty of Lambert players in that squad, he brought in Russell Martin who he had at Wycombe, would he want to go with him? What about Leon Barnett? He just signed for Lambert. I have a feeling that Grant Holt would stay here though, he simply loves it and we simply love him. Although, he does drive a Peugot 306 so could perhaps do with one last signing on fee. Grant Holt is also out of contract in summer 2012, if he doesn''t want to sign a new contract at the end of this season under a new manager then he will probably have to be sold too. Which players do you believe would perhaps be unwilling to play under a new manager, which players would Lambert wish to take with him, and which of those players would definitely want to go? This is horrible, Lambert if you are staying then please realise that a little transparency is helpful at times like this.
 23.

ffs O''neil would never come back here to manage us! Wake up!
In the same way that Edgar Davids would never play in a South London shithole? And a former England manager would not manage in a stadium named after crisps? And in the same way that Darren Huckerby would never have signed for Norwich? And in the same way that clubs like Cardiff don''t get players like Craig Bellamy?I hope you realise just how close O''Neill still is to this club. It was O''Neill who effectively saw that David McNally got his job at this club. It was O''Neill who effectively got Lambert his job at this club. Why don''t you wake up? You are from Lincoln though, in fairness, the graveyard of ambition and the breeding ground for pessimism and general grimness. Why not head over to the thread about Chris Sutton, where your opinion would be relevant to me?
Just to back up our friend Le Juge there is some truth to this as was also told this myself by someone who would definitely know. O''Neill recommended McNally to us.
So Jim if Lambert leaves do you think we stand a chance of appointing O''neil?
I think there is a chance yes because he has unfinished business here (he describes us as the only club where that is the case), he is freindly with Delia and he has worked with Mcnally. I see it as something of a long shot but there are enough connections there to mean there is a possibility, particularly as he is out of work. I guess it depends on whether he sees himself as a viable candidate for one of the big prem clubs in the near future.
I''m glad that somebody else sees the possibility, even if it is a long shot. If he recommended Lambert and McNally to this club, then that means that he is at least found of this club and its current owners. His period at Norwich is the only blemish on his otherwise incredible CV.If Bellamy can go to Cardiff for sentimental reasons, having made his money in the game, then so might O''Neill. Sometimes, just sometimes, the money isn''t the most important thing. If in doubt, just ask Mr Huckerby.
*fond of this club
See you back at school Einstein!
You won''t be in the same set as me, they have special classes for those who are semi-literate. See you around on here though, I look forward to you hijacking my future threads and then sulking when I respond to your lightly provocative insults; maybe we can make this a frequent thing. You can teach me more of your lil txt spk abb and I will teach you some seven letter words for Scrabble.
I may have a low level of literacy but its never held me back. Im very much more analyticaly minded, and a Masters degree in Civil Engineering backs that up. So I hope you enjoy your game of Scrabble whilst sat at home on your lonesome wondering where your sad little life is heading.
You may be interested to learn that Scrabble is a multi-player game. As for sitting at home on my lonesome wondering where my sad little life is heading, six figure income and successful business aside, it appears to be you who sits at home on your lonesome - in front of a PC in fact - as your excessive post count appears to suggest. You realise that sitting in front of a computer all day doesn''t count as a social life, don''t you?

You all sit on here each and everyday judging eachother, judging players, we are all judging Lambert, you judged me. If people can''t handle being judged then they may as well jump off of a bridge right away, and if anybody gets over sensitive or insecure about their spelling ability then they should all be looking up to Mr Lambert as their icon. Lambert doesn''t give two hoots what others think about him, and neither does he give two hoots that he is the most incoherent manager in the history of this football club bar Peter Grant.
