1. Jimmy Bullard is definitely a tucker, he tucks to pee, I have that on good authority from a Peterborough fan. Although that was said to me on MSN, it might have been a slight typo, the ''f'' is close to the ''t''.
 2. I suspect that Grant Holt stands, real men always stand. In the case of Jim Brennan, he not only stood to wee, but he stood up against the sink in Delaney''s to pee.... that was his favourite spot, something to do with the hole in the centre of the plug being a bit more challenging. You know when you aim for the little whole in the middle of the urinal? Yeah? Just like that, the hole is smaller on a sink, but the target is closer..... so that balances it out?
 3. We should all really talk about Cody McDonald more, because I know that McNally and Lambert read this board, if we talk about him enough they won''t forget he exists. When Lambert remembers that he has a seventh striker called Cody McDonald, or indeed where it is that he sent Cody, maybe he can put him in the 25? I heard that Lambert sent him out on loan but couldn''t remember where. The admin folk forgot to take down his mobile number when sending him out last year, Cody hasn''t come back because they haven''t rung him. Do you know where Paul has put our Cody McDonald? Could you help us find our Cody? The club is offering a £10000 reward for anybody who can provide information which leads directly to the recovery of this lost young man. If you have any information, anything, anything at all, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. His parent club are desperate to know that he is safe and well and hasn''t come to any harm. Cody, if you are out there, please call us immediately to let us know that you are OK. Please help us raise awareness of the dissapearance of little Cody, by starting threads about his dissapearance on every footy forum on the Internet. Especially this one, we need at least one per day, until he is found. We love you Cody, and we want you to know that everything will be OK. On a sidenote, what kind of car do you think Cody McDonald drives? Also, did you noticed how Cody McDonald''s teeth were always white? Do you reckon Cody McDonald brushes his teeth with Colgate like everybody else, or do you reckon he has been going to those cosmetic places with Oli Murs for teeth whitening sessions?  If Cody McDonald were to vote do you think he would vote Tory or Labour? Does he have a wife? Does he prefer tea or coffee? And does Cody take sugar in that? Is Cody a real ale man or more of a modern lager man? And finally, and most importantly, does he stand or sit to pee?
 4.

Bloody hell GJP, you have a high opinion of yourself dont ya, if you are that good you would be a scout or manager for a professional team.
I''m not the one saying I know better than the professionals, am I? Using the example of Ryan Jarvis, we''ve got someone here saying that they know/knew better than Nigel Worthington, that the lad should have been "managed" better. Whereas my view on it was that I have faith that Nigel Worthington knew what he was doing and knew that he didn''t have a massive talent on his hands. Similarly going back to Spillane, Lambert preferred and trusted Russell Martin ahead of him and since Spillane has moved to Brentford (a fairly small club in comparison to Norwich) he''s struggled to cement a place in the first team and has quite often struggled to make their day squad. Yet apparently the guy could be a real "gem". Fans can sometimes get carried about the prospects of young players (especially "home grown" ones) and then perhaps it''s hard to admit that someone that they had rated was never as good as they had liked to believe.
Asides from the fact that you know damn well I wasn''t referring to Jarvis as a massive talent. Worthington was a good manager, but he had a very poor record with youngsters, that''s just the way that it is. Brentford are a decent team by the way, go and look at their first four results this season. Lambert didn''t ask Spillane to move by the way, he asked to leave. That''s why we played last season with one right back rather than two, remember?
Jay Rodriguez
Another player who isn''t as good as Simeon Jackson. 14 goals in 35 starts and 5 sub appearances V 13 goals in 20 starts and 20 sub appearances14 goals in 104 shots V 13 goals in 58 shots1 goal every 7.4 shots V 1 goal in every 4.4 shots38% of shots on target V 48% of shots on targetI thought that the days of Jackson being under rated were well and truly over after he burst into life and showed us just how good he is. There are very few Championship strikers who were more lethal than Simeon Jackson last year in front of goal. If goals are what people are demanding, then targets should be judged on goals, and judging by goals..... Jackson is class.
 6.

Yes, he scored Simeon Jackson, who was our second top scorer last season. Next. No doubt if you can equate that to goals per minute he was one of the most prolific strikers in the league last season.  If you want to throw the "wave after wave of chances" line at me, that can easily be countered too. He had 58 shots, 28 shots on target. In other words, 48% of his shots were on target, or he needed 4.4 shots per goal to score. Using Grant Holts league stats from the same source, our top scorer, he started 44 games and had 1 substitute appearance, scoring 21 goals (can you see where this is heading yet?). He had 99 shots on goal, of which 33 were on target. That equates to a goal per shot ratio of 4.7 shots per goal. He got 33% of his shots on target.  I''m not saying that Jackson is as good as Holt of course, he isn''t, Grant Holt set up a hell of a lot of goals last year. But Jackson is good striker to those who don''t want to get all maths teacher on the subject, as well as those who do want to geek around on spreadsheets. The fact that he finished 13th in the top scorers chart last year despite only starting 20 games says it all. Dave Nugent, a player capped by England, and somebody that people on here were calling for us to sign..... scored 13 league goals too, from 93 shots on goal. You do the maths there mate, Jackson is a true hitman. There are other strikers who scored 13 league goals too:Simeon Jackson        58 shots      13 goalsDave Nugent              93 shots      13 goalsHeider Helguson       62 shots      13 goalsBrett Pitman              63 shots      13 goalsAnd 12 goals.....Marlon King               71 shots      12 goalsLeroy Lita                   66 shots      12 goals     As far as I''m concerned he put away his chances, I struggled to find too many with a better strike rate. Simeon Jackson is lethal in front of goal, whether you think so or not, and I''ve proven that by playing you at your own game there. Give him the ball and he''ll stick it in the net. What that also shows is that if he had played enough to get 99 shots on goal last season, he would have outscored Holt. Top signing, top striker, and I expect him to hit form again at some stage this season. He will outshine James Vaughan this year, I''m confident of that.
9 goals in 51 shots by Vaughan last year by the way, that''s 1 in every 5.67 shots against Jacksons 4.4 shots per goal. Chances are hard to come by in this league, how many can we create per game? One more shot per goal? Can we afford that? Not with the 2 or 3 chances per match that we have been creating so far. Lambert will soon work out that he needs a poacher in this division, and that the only poacher we have is Simeon Jackson. I still expect him to win back a place in the team, playing alongside Morison or Holt, and I bet he will take it.
 7.
Jackson wasn''t our top scorer last season, Holt scored over 20, Jackson scored under 15....
Isn''t it just great when people make irrelevant throw away comments as a result of not reading threads properly. If you can''t be bothered to read the threads, then don''t write on them either, yeah?

 9.
I think it is a worthy question, goals win games and roughly what do we think our strikers will do, hopefully one could surprise us. I would love one to have an impact similar to carroll, when he started the lift he gave was massive to the first few games for newcastle. I know they will all set goals for how many they will score. But I would say they would set goals of these figures. Holt may score 9-11 Morrison 8-10 Vaughan 6-8 Jackson 5-7 Martin 3-5 So a guess of about 36 (prob optimistic), do I think they will get that. Probably not, if we take newcastle as a yardstick once carroll left their strikers struggled. So realistically can we see 25 goals scored by our forwards through the season? hoolahan, bennett and pilkington I believe will score goals. I always believe that goals are from all over the pitch so for the season. fullbacks a total of 3 or 4 goals centre halves a total of 5 or 6 goals central midfield 9 to 11 goals wingers/ top of the diamond 12 to 14 goals strikers 25 goals So about 60 goals for the total season. Is that enough? We need a solid defence as this is under 2 goals per game. A good question, I believe by January we will then know. I certainly feel we will need to be bring in a new players to freshen up but also to add a lift to our performances on the field. I believe we will need a new player(s) to bring some goals to the team. But I also hope as like the start of the post we could have a carroll like perfomance by one of our forwards early to scare and make prem teams take notice that NCFC will be a handful
So basically you have just slapped your keyboard a few times, pulling numbers out of thin air, and your conclusion is that we will probably score 60 goals this year in 38 games...... despite having scored only 2 goals in the first 2 games.... and then you ask the message board if that is enough goals. What do you think? I mean, you seem to feel that you have the instinct or physcic abilities neccessary to speculate that our full backs will miraculously score 4 goals this year despite our first choice left back only having scored 2 goals in his entire career. Whilst writing that long and pointless post, the one that sounds more and more ridiculous the longer I spend thinking about it, you didn''t think to check out the Premier League table for 2010/11 to tell yourself whether 60 goals is a lot. Just to save you from having to Google it, wouldn''t want to cut down the length of your comedy posts, I can tell you that the only teams to score 60 goals or more last year were Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man City. In fact, Man City scored exactly 60. So do I think 60 goals would be enough? Yes. Do I think that we will score 60 goals? No I don''t, unless we sign Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. I reckon we would be lucky to score 45, all we can do is hope that we don''t conceede as many as Blackpool, who scored some 55 goals last year but forgot to play any defenders and as a result conceeded 78.
 10.
I can''t recall who said it, and it was a few years back and things could have changed, but some expert reckoned that Rudd could be good, but Steer is a much better prospect. Rudd is still young and learning the game, but if he is on the bench week after week, and playing in an occasional reserve match, he is not going to learn very quickly.
That was somebody at the club, I think it may even have been Bryan Gunn, or somebody here at the time. Whilst it looks like Steer is being groomed as the next famous City keeper, we still owe Rudd whatever is best for his development, so Rudd should be going out on loan too.
 11.

I never saw much in the Jarvis brothers either, although I do think that Ryan Jarvis could have been a better player if he was packed out on loan a lot earlier, Worthington didn''t manage him too well.
It was nothing to do with how Worthy managed him. Do you not think that if Ryan Jarvis had enough about him as a player then Worthy would have looked to use him more or get more from him somehow? Worthy was a good player in his day and he did great things for Norwich City as a manager, he knows his football and he''d have known if he had a real talent on his hands. I mean this is a guy who got Darren Huckerby playing for Norwich City - he''s no mug. Looking back at Chris Martin a few years ago it was easy to see a young player who had a naturally good touch and had a clever football brain. It was never the same for Ryan Jarvis, he was probably good for his age group but his touch and awareness were never anything like as good as that of Martin. And he didn''t even have a turn of pace to make up for it.
I never claimed that Ryan Jarvis could have been a world beater, I am claiming that he could have been a better player if managed right. Worthington did not have a good record with kids, if he didn''t see anything in him then he wouldn''t have given him contracts. The only player that Worthington brought through successfully was Jason Shackell.Jarvis first came into the first team at 16 years old, and left Norwich at 22, having made just 75 competitive league appearances. That may sound a lot, until you consider that 31 of them were as substitute and most of his starts came on loan at 21...... five years after first appearing on the scene...  He had started (for all teams) just 7 league games before heading to Orient on loan at 21, 2 of those starts were for Colchester. His development would no doubt have been hampered by that. He only started 5 league games for us in 5 years, people forget that. He came off of the bench 24 times. Are you telling me that Jarvis wouldn''t have been a better player if he had spent a whole season out on loan at 18 or 19 like Chris Martin? That''s precisely why I want to see Rudd, and possibly Smith, out on loan. You don''t get better at football unless you are playing football. We don''t know the facts, maybe he didn''t push for a loan, but Worthington simply never put his kids out on loan. Jarvis only went out to Orient and Notts County when it was clear that he wasn''t going to make it, probably to try and get a deal somewhere. The best thing that Roeder did whilst here was send Martin and Spillane packing. Look at Lambert, he just wants to give his kids football. Steer will become a better player for his time at Yeovil, McDonald has no doubt progressed at Gillingham, Francomb went out to Barnet. I don''t just think that making sure kids get football is to benefit of the club that owns that player, it is in fact a duty and responsibility to that player. We have to ensure that we do the right thing by the kids. Even if it was clear that Jarvis wasn''t going to make it at Norwich, the club still owes it to help a player develop as much as possible whilst they are under the care of the club.  For me this is where Worthington seriously lacked. Not only in identifying talent from the youth team, but also in harnessing it. Dean Sinclair, Danny Crow, Ryan Jarvis, Ian Henderson...... none of them were sent out to play mans football for a year, so thus could never have been expected to do very well when thrown into the deep in a league like the Championship. Chris Martin would not be the player that he is now if he didn''t get those games at Luton, it came back with a better attitude, more confident, and realising what it is that he had to work hard for at Norwich. Because if he didn''t come back with that new attitude, he would probably be playing in the Blue Square Prem with the likes of Crow, no doubt about it. When you look at Jarvis and Crow, I''ve seen them both play recently, they look like they lack passion, don''t seem to ever bust a gut, and in the case of Crow looks seriously unfit. That could and probably would have been Martin if he had been given an easy 5 years picking up a pay cheque, not having to play and football, and not being made to realise what it is that he had to lose by not making the grade at Carrow Road. That''s why I think that Spillane did the right thing in moving too, because he knew that all he needed was time on the pitch, fair play to him. I reckon it is much more likely now that Spillane will have a long and rewarding career, in whatever league, as a result of that decision.Ian Henderson seems to be doing well now, that ones a bit different. May I ask, what did you think of Ian Henderson when you saw him? And what do you think about him now? Because by all accounts he is doing extremely well for Colchester, we didn''t see much of that whilst he was at Norwich did we?
 12.
The problem with the Scottish one is that the changes to the Premier League have to get a majority backing and that wont happen. Why would Inverness say trade in 2 lucrative home games against the Glasgow teams for a set of games against Division 1 opponents. They wouldn''t. Say UEFA change the rules to say that you can only get Champions League places if your main division has 20 teams in it; then watch them change. I like the Champions League for Champions idea. Three places available to each country with the winner of the Europa League and Champions League getting an automatic slot.
If every team in Scotland voted it would get a ''yes'' majority. The Scottish FA is in charge of football in Scotland, not just the SPL!Technically though they would only lose an average of 1 big game per year, seeing as they tend to play one at home and one away in the last third of the season. Playing Rangers and Celtic less would give teams like Motherwell, Hibs, and Hearts, a better chance of actually competing with the big two. A less predictable league would raise attendances all round, and they might find that they get allocated another European place if the league raises its standards a little. Which Inverness fan is going to want to watch their team play St Mirren for the third time in a season? It would also reduce the risk of Inverness getting relegated too, and seeing as they are currently sitting at the bottom of the league with 1 point from 5 games, they won''t be playing Celtic or Rangers next year at this rate. Sure they would love a game against Queen of the South right now!
 13.
So that I and approx 12800 city fans can have a refund for tonight''s joke
Using that logic, should the club invoice everybody for an extra tenner if they beat one of the top four this year? For playing better than expected? Maybe they could then use the cash to give the players a bonus.A tenner was a fair price for MK Dons in the League Cup, half of the players just messed up their chances of a first team call up, that is punishment enough.
 14. I''d turn the league cup into a ''first to score'' competition, to save fans the misery if they look like Norwich did last night. It would also give small teams a great chance of actually winning it.
 15. If I were the head of the Scottish FA I would turn their 4 leagues into two leagues of twenty. No better way to raise attendances at smaller clubs than to give them a home game against Celtic, and a home game against Rangers, every year.
 16.
Are there any out there that know Liverpool well?Myself and a few other lads are planning to stay over for the night, when we play LFC in October. We are looking for decent pubs/bars in the city to head to.I went on one of their messageboards and Mathew St was suggested, but having looked it up on the web, it looks like a Prince of Wales Rd type place, and since we are mostly in our 40s/50s probably not quite what we are after!Dale St and Hartington St were also suggested, they also said to avoid Albert Dock.Any help would be appreciated.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/2008/feb/05/liverpool.bars
 17.

I agree Clint, how can you judge him on less than 10 appearances GJP? I would be interested to know what you base this opinion on, please enlighten me!!
Just a "feeling" you get with players. Sometimes you see a young player and you think this guy has got a shot but sometimes you don''t get that.   For example, a few years ago I said I thought Chris Martin could have a decent chance of making it but I didn''t ever see Michael Spillane doing the business for Norwich on a regular basis. Most people disagreed with me about Spillane.   At the moment, from what I''ve seen, Declan Rudd is more of a Spillane than he is a Martin.   Time will tell and I always hold my hands up if I''m wrong.
I suspect that 95% of Norwich fans had a decent chance of making it when he came in the team and scored the goals, along with Huckerby, that saved us from relegation. You don''t need to have any kind of six sense to see that an 18 year old scoring goals and being rumoured to have scouts from Man Utd watching him has a "decent chance of making it".You are being a bit quick to judge Spillane though, he has only been at Brentford for a year, and at 22 years old and nearly 100 pro games under his belt already, he could still become a gem. He needs to pick his position and stick with it though. I see him as a right back, never a centre back.We have numerous players who were playing semi-pro at 22, including Holt, Hoolahan, and Morison. He was right to move, because 23 games is more than he would have got here in that year. The jury is still out on Martin, he has only really set the world alight in League One thus far. Spillane is playing in league one. As were most of our squad until recently, Tierney most recently, Spillane is further up the pyramid than Tierney was at 22. Martin is probably a decent Championship player, in a year or two Spillane could be too. We have seen it before with Ali Gibb and Paul Hayes, sometimes rejected kids work their way back up. Dion Dublin too, of course.
I''d spoken well of Chris Martin before he played for the first team. I think there''s a difference between being good for your age group and being good in general/as a long term prospect. I remember people used to rave about the Jarvis brothers and I used to watch them and think "really?!?" Quite often people get carried away about the ability and potential of our academy products and they don''t like it if you tell them different. Korey Smith is another one. I don''t particularly like to knock Korey cos that guy will give it his all but at the moment he looks a long way off being ready for the Premier League, even though I''ve known people on here to tip him to be a regular for us in the Prem this season.
I never saw much in the Jarvis brothers either, although I do think that Ryan Jarvis could have been a better player if he was packed out on loan a lot earlier, Worthington didn''t manage him too well.I''m a big fan of Korey Smith though, but if he isn''t in the first team plans then he needs to go out on loan with a recall clause. In fact Rudd needs that too, I''d like to see us sign a keeper to make that possible. Korey Smith is still only 20, people forget how young he is. I think hes a decent passer, a decent tackler, and has shown that he can score the odd goal. But a loan spell at some tinpot club getting 7000 fans a week with no money could do him some good. Hey, maybe we can wait until next year and loan them to Ipswich, they will be lucky to get any more than that in League One :P
 18.
I''m a pretty regular fan, and come back when I can from Uni share a season ticket, so not a bad fan, get to as many as I can really. So I decided to go with some casual fans, and a couple who support QPR last night but reside in Norfolk, all in all 7 of us. The casual who bought the tickets decide to put us in E Block, row L right against the wall. Not that I have a particular problem with sitting there, but we were sandwiched between two rows of reasonably loud fans, and I know all the chants I couldn''t really hear what they were like at the back, but some of these didn''t have a clue. I''m all for getting more money into the coffers, disregarding who turns up, and the more fans the better in my opinion. However, they were at Carra'' to cause problems more than just create an atmosphere, constantly looking over at the away fans trying to incite some trouble and as one Asian Man descended to speak to the stewards at the bottom I heard "Get back to your Corner Shop..." and "Where''s your elephant...." Which I think is ridiculous, in all the time I''ve been going to watch Norwich, I have never heard such blatant racism. I was shocked. As I said all for casual fans, but when they''re just trying to incite trouble....they can stay at home in their burberry caps. W**kers.
Don''t ever sit in the snakepit then, unless you want to experience fans like that every match. The fact that they are all middle aged men with decent jobs, wives, and kids, makes it all that much worse. The last time I sat in there the three blokes behind made monkey chants and tried to pick a fight with a fellow fan. Retards. Was a few years ago mind, might be better now, hopefully those three have been banned by now.  I was a casual fan for a few years before getting a season ticket again when McNally came on board and Rodent had gone. To be honest, suspect I spent more per season on footy THEN then I do now as a season ticket holder. Think I would manage about 15 games a year, and I worked out that I spent MORE on tickets than these apparently superior fans who actually get their football heavily subsidised and are suitably rewarded for their commitment or loyalty without needing to resort to some sort of delusions of granduer or elitism. I''d hate to be a casual fan in that area of the Jarrold stand with stupid cushions on their seats, should imagine it is terrible there "oooohh... look at the paupers who have to put up with their hard seats, this cushion is perfect for my piles". The worst place that I have sat as a stranger is in the Barclay lower (A block), I borrowed a mates season ticket for 5 games one year a while back whilst he went to Thailand for 6 weeks. I then lent my season ticket, in the Riverend, to a family friend who was too skint to buy a ticket at the time (wouldn''t do that now!). It was like walking into a small village pub in a part of the world which still has to use dial-up internet, everybody looks at you like a freak, grunt at you when you ask to get past, don''t give you the time of the day, and worst of all..... there was an elderly lady who gave everybody on her row, everybody on the row in front, and everybody in the row behind, a sweet. As the only non-regular, and thus inferior, I didn''t get offered one of course. I found out that the seat on one side of me this year is a seat which is for general sale. I''m going to make a special effort to have a little chat with whoever sits there each game, to make them feel comfortable and welcome, as long as they get there to their seat 5-10 minutes before kick off like me and don''t say stupid things like "Hoolahan is too small" in which case I will make sure their experience is a miserable one and they never pick that row again!!!
 19.
Exactly. Really gets on my goat this if-you''re-not-a-season-ticket-holder-you''re-not-a-proper-fan mentality. Of the 13k last night, I bet half were dirty casuals meaning about 16k season ticket holders couldn''t be bothered to shell out a tenner to watch a competitive Norwich game last night
Competitive? Lol. More like a training session.I agree with you though, plus they could have been season ticket holders, how the hell would they know? If you buy a casual ticket for a cup game, then why the hell would you sit in your exact same seat? You would try somewhere new wouldn''t you? They might not have been able to get Barclay season tickets but would have chosen to sit there if they could. In my opinion if there is a seat empty then anybody should be made fully welcome to come and fill it. I just hope whoever sat on my seat didn''t fart on it too much, didn''t stand up on it and leave filthy footprint marks, or worse still wasn''t 22 stone and snapped or bent it! :P
 20.
Injury prone to say the least- and not exactly the most prolific as far as I can tell. For all Lamberts great understanding has he actually signed any forwards who score goals?
Yes, he scored Simeon Jackson, who was our second top scorer last season. Next.
 21.
...Until the transfer window shuts. Here''s what, in an ideal world, I''d love to see happen in the next week : 1 - Sign Lansbury on a permanent deal. Last night showed without a doubt that we don''t have as much strength in depth as we thought in the midfield. Surman, Fox and Hoolahan can mix it with the best on their day - but can also turn in performances like last night''s abomination. Lansbury is already integrated with the squad, loved by the fans, proven quality and has (a little) top flight experience. The figures being talked about - around £2million - aren''t extortionate for a player of his age and potential, and we can afford it now. This one is a no-brainer IMHO. 2 - Release Wilbraham on a free. I''ve never fathomed why Lambert bought him in the first place - he''s the one signing PL made who doesn''t fit the pattern of young, hungry, hard-working players. To put it politely, Wilbraham is an ageing journeyman of mediocre ability - he has no place whatsoever in a Premiership squad. 3 - Add another backup striker. Holt is clearly going to be no.1, with Morrison, Martin, Vaughan and Jackson battling it out for a place alongside him. If Vaughan is fit, I suspect he could become a huge star for us... but he has a history of injury problems. Morrison also seems to be struggling with injury, and Martin and Jackson are inconsistent performers. I''d like to see one more signing to provide backup - Preferably someone with top-flight experience. 4 - Clear out the dead wood. I''m going to be ruthless here - Oli Johnson is not good enough for the premiership. If he was, he''d have a squad number. So why keep him around? Let the lad go on a free to another club where he''ll find his level and get some football under his belt. Better for him, better for us. The same applies to Anthony McNamee - What''s the point of keeping him around, hindering his career when he''s never going to play for us? Stephen Hughes also needs to go - He doesn''t want to be here, we don''t want him around. If we can give him a season long loan then fine, but if not then cancel his contract and get rid of him. Keeping unwanted players around the dressing room can only lead to disharmony, and that''s one thing we can''t afford even the slightest bit of this season. Cody is the only one of that group that I''d keep - He has potential, but ideally needs to be loaned out until after Christmas, ideally to a Championship side, to gain experience at the higher level. 5 - A shock move from left-field There''s a tiny bit of me that thinks Lambert might have a surprise lined up for the last few days of the window - Some kind of big signing that no-one has seen coming. It could be a huge boost to the club, players and supporters psychologically, and would certainly make people take a bit of notice of us... However, I''d only want this if it was someone who could fit in with the club''s teamwork ethic.
1. Can''t grumble at that, I''d have him, but I was under the impression that we were believed to have had a £2.5 million bid REJECTED, so not sure where you are getting your own figures from there?2. I can''t disagree that Wilbraham is not good enough for this league, but why release him? We don''t have 25, releasing him is pointless. If I were him I would object strongly to the suggestion that he is in anyway a ''journeyman'', he spent 6 years at Milton Keynes dons and 7 years at Stockport FFS, by that logic we have a team FULL of journeymen. 3. We don''t need any more strikers.4. If they aren''t in the squad then they won''t be anywhere near the dressing room, do you think Lambert beckons 30 players to Carrow Road each match day? It is just as cheap to keep them as it is to pay them off unless you can do so mutually, e.g. 60% of contract value. Those players are free to find other clubs, what''s to say that they aren''t looking? Steven Smith and Owain Tudor Jones took the hint, what makes you think that they haven''t too?5. Wouldn''t Lansbury or this striker that you ask for be enough? The club has spent a lot already, are you seriously asking for a premiership striker, Lansbury, AND some big name? Lansbury is a big name, he will do me. With Ayala looking like one for next season already, I''d rather that skip on that striker and bring in yet another defender. Plus Lansbury if the price is right.
 22. I''ve never liked him, don''t really understand what his role is supposed to be. He clearly has some sort of talent, but he isn''t particularly quick so isn''t a winger, he is a bit slow with his first touch and is lightweight, so isn''t really a centre midfielder, doesn''t really score many goals, and can''t really tackle.I just don''t see where he is supposed to fit in, I don''t really like him on the left of the diamond, don''t really like him on the left wing. I prefer Lappin on the left of the diamond, tbh, and Pilkington is our left winger. Hoolahan can also do a shift on the left of course.Maybe he just isn''t suited to our game? He reminds me of a poor mans David Bentley, although we had an actual David Bentley last time around.
 23.

 24.
I was being ironic Le Juge but you have reinforced my point - we have a larger squad who could use these games.
I was trying to reinforce your point, so it looks like your irony has been lost on me and my own point was lost on you :P
 25. Unless there is something we don''t know about (an impending move, for example), he is being treated disgracefully. If we are actively trying to move him on, then it doesn''t actually make sense in putting him in the League Cup game, it may devalue him if he moves before the next round. But at current all we know is that he has been priced out of a move to some decent sized clubs including Peterborough and Sheff Wednesday, and he isn''t training with our squad, and he isn''t playing in our reserve team. He is effectively being left to rot? If he doesn''t sign for anybody by 31st August, then what the hell is he going to do? The club should lower their demands for him or put him in the 25, at the minute he is being treated terribly. Unless, he is in negotiations with some other team?
