As with our current players to leave this summer we have made no money it is good to see some money come our way.
Luke Daley went for a fee, probably a very small one, but the transfer is recorded as an ''undisclosed fee''. Probably £50k or something! He scored his first goal for Plymouth last night.
...and what a goal that was!
Haven''t seen it, though heard it was special. Good luck to him, probably his level. He never looked like scoring for us, but if he can make a living for himself then good for him.
 2.
Scott Dann?
Not sure whether I am supposed to guess the rest of the words in that question or not seeing as the words ''Scott Dann'' wouldn''t usually be followed by a question mark without some words either preceeding them or both preceeding and following them, but just in case I am, I will answer as many of the possibilities as I can....."Do you think Scott Dann will sign for us?"No"Would you want Scott Dann at the club?"Not for £5m"Do you think Lambert wants Scott Dann at the club?"Not for £5m"Do you rate Scott Dann?"Yes"Is Scott Dann a human or a dancer?"Who knows, ask Brandon Flowers
 3. Although I would love to see Ritchie De Laet on a permanent deal, and then his loan space used for Lansbury!
 4. And it could be argued that we don''t need to! We are a bit short at the back as a result of injury, but what do we gain by signing a permanent centre back? Once they are all fit we will simply end up with too many. I personally would like to see an experienced keeper for the bench, and Rudd out on loan. If we do sign a centre back then we are permitted to sign a non English based player on loan?Pretty certain that you can have 2 loan players from the English leagues, but we can take one from Spain, Italy, Germany. The new striker that everybody seems to want is already at the club, James Vaughan. I don''t think we can realistically improve our current midfield or forward line without spending serious money, e.g. Lansbury. Maybe Lambert will want a full 25, but I''m not expecting anybody, and if we do sign somebody I can''t see anything other than a prospect for the future, a foreign loan, or an ageing player to sit on the bench for a year (e.g. Richard Wright).I''m happy with the current squad, to be honest. I''d rather us spend a few million in January if it looks to be the difference between survival and relegation.

 6. Well Peterborough have just signed a striker, Emile Sinclair, so looks like they are out of the running.
 7.
Cody MacDonald is NOT good enough for the Premiership!A wise decision to let him go.
That is a completely different question though, and would yield a completely different set of answers. The question is whether he is good enough for Coventry. It is possible for me to categorically state that he isn''t good enough for the Premier League whilst unequivocally believing that he would be a good buy for a Coventry team with a lack of decent strikers.
 8. I reckon he will score 12, due to him playing in a poor team which has only scored 2 goals in 5 games. In a better team, I suspect he could score 15-18. You have to apply success relatively. There current strikers are Eastwood, Jutkiewitz, and Platt. None of those strikers are cutting it yet. If he outscores those three this season then I don''t see how Coventry can be considered "mugs" for signing him. He offers something very different to all three as well, and that''s pace! Jutkiewitz and Platt are big men, Eastwood is just a flop. Cody looks to be just what they need, somebody to play off a big man, an injection of pace up front.
 9.
Looks like the player was being a bit of a nob to be fair. I can see wht Di Canio wanted to lumb the boy!
It''s general a good idea to work out what kind of person a player is before you sign him, not 11 days afterwwards. You have to ask why a big black man has signed for a self-confessed and proud facist who is a lifelong fan of a club with no black players, all seems a bit odd to me. You wouldn''t imagine Nick Griffin employing any asian office clerks at the BNP headquarters, would you? Pretty inevitable that they wouldn''t get on too well. Just calling it as I see it.
 10.
Mugs...he won''t cut it at that level.
You mean you don''t want him to cut it! I reckon he would be a danger to a lot of teams in that league, there are worse strikers who have done alright in the Championship. He is better than Jamie Cureton was by the time he made it back to CR.
 11. Was his first professional competitive goal, well done Ritchie. After seeing him score a header in pre-season, and then his goal against Stoke, I assumed that he must be one of those centre backs known for goals. But nope, that was his first, in his 51st game.If he never plays for us again after this season, he will probably always remember us very fondly because of that. I hope he manages to keep on scoring of course ;-)
 12.

. I''m suprised he started ahead of Morison against Chelsea,
Given that Lambert has just spent a fair bit of money on Morison I thought he might have shown faith in him and put him in the starting line up. However, at the moment Martin appears to fit our system much better than Morison and he knows how to link-up with the likes of Holt and Hoolahan much better. It will be interesting to see how Morison fits in to our system and how quickly and effectively he can adapt to it. I also think he would benefit from a goal (as would Chris Martin) and needs to sharpen up his game a bit. I did think the Chelsea game highlighted our lack of pace upfront though. They were all over the place defensively and had we had someone upfront with decent pace then we could well have got much more from the game. Morison looks like he has a bit of pace when he''s in our stride but neither him nor Martin have killer pace. Will be interesting to see what Vaughan has got to offer.
The first goal of the season is the most important one for any striker, for any team, in any division. Grant Holt explained extremely well after the Chelsea game how scoring your first goal relieves a lot of pressure. It doesn''t matter whether you are Jamie Cureton playing for Orient or Wayne Rooney playing for Man United, last season is always forgotten and you are only as good as your last match.Morison, Jackson, Martin, Vaughan, Wilbraham, could all do with a goal. I feel happier now that Holt and Hoolahan have one.
 13.
I''m not surprised at all, Lambert clearly rates him and, for all that is written and said about him, he is clearly a very good player. He has excellent vision and although he might not score many he does tend to play an instrumental part in our build up play, as can be seen by the number of assists he got last year before being injured.Last year the goals came from all over the team and I think Lambert expects that to continue, therefore I think his skill in the build up is valued highly.
Feel free to list his assists from last season. I know that I''m asking a lot, but it shouldn''t take you long seeing as he only actually has 2 assists to his name last year from 23 games.I am a Chris Martin fan, but it grates on me to see people splashing this line everywhere. Clearly somebody on here has said this at some stage, and everybody else has followed like sheeple because they think it sounds good.If you want to give anybody credit for assists in our team then give it to Grant Holt who with 14 assists came second in the Championship assist table. The fact that some people are criticising or doubting Holt after he finished 2nd in the assist table and 4th in the goal table last year in the Championship probably says it all. Last year our three top assist makers were Holt 14, Hoolahan 9, Fox 9. This year we have added Elliott Bennett who set up 17 for Brighton last year, third best in his division. In my opinion Lambert has Martin in the team because he believes in his finishing ability, not to create goals for anybody else, that has simply never been his strong point and neither has he ever really played that role for us.
 14.
Henri Lansbury is as much to do with us getting promotion as jackson''s goals. Lansburys desire and last minute goals gave us important results. I actually think he could fit in with our rotation system and also could fit in a 4-4-2 on the right side. We know coming through the middle is possible. But we''ll see. We won''t get him after this window shuts. I think his value will increase and be out of our range. So although you list those players, crofts could be replaced for a more attacking central midfielder in lansbury rather than wingers, pilks and bennett. So there is a place for him, personally don''t think fox will get past crofts or johnson in their form. I would have lansbury ahead of Fox. But hey that is opinion and like I say I don''t expect him to come
I agree with you, we haven''t got tonnes of attacking midfielders, we have more strikers than we do attacking mids.
 15. Am I the only person that thinks that Lansbury is one of those players that is so good that you worry about fitting him in only after you buy him, if the price is right?  I think that Pilkington is going to be a great little player, I think that Hoolahan is simply class, and Bennett offers us something that we have needed for a long time. But they are our only attacking midfielders. With Lansbury having the ability to play on both the right and through the middle, he would easily get game time even if Bennett and Hoolahan don''t put a foot wrong all season. We don''t have any backup right winger, any back up left winger unless Surman counts, and no backup for Hoolahan. I can''t see how Crofts, Fox, or Johnson, should be brought into the equation at all, they are all completely different players. We will play different systems all year, personally I''d love to see us petrify a team with this formation:                                         RuddyMcNaughton     De Laet         Barnett         Tierney                          Crofts                Johnson                Bennett      Lansbury      Hoolahan                                      Holt And whilst we could in theory do that we Pilkington, and at a push Surman, on the left side, we wouldn''t really be able to do that at current if we get any one of Bennett, Hoolahan or Pilkington injured. There are no doubt other systems that we could play to make use of Lansbury too. Lot''s of people say that Lambert picks players to play his system, but I honestly think that he picks his system to fit his players. He was very limited coming into a club which had NO wingers whatsoever, asides from Whaley and Hoolahan who he didn''t like on the left wing. That''s why he had to go with the diamond. He now has the ability to play multiple systems, by virtue of the players that he has at his disposal. The more players you have the greater your options. It would only take a couple of injuries to see us severely limited in which system we can play. Especially if Bennett gets injured at any stage, that would rule out 4-4-2, unless we moved Pilks to the right and played Surman or Hoolahan on the left. From what we have seen of Surman this year he looks well out of form and isn''t really a left winger, Hoolahan is wasted out wide. If we intend to play with wingers this year then we need more players who can play out wide, Lansbury would be one possibility.
 16. Possibly up there with the worst names for a boozer possible you mean? The Fork ''n'' Knife, on the otherhand, would be an awesome name for a gastro pub.
 17.
I agree with TIL. I loved Henri Lansbury while he was here, but now we have Johnson, Bennett and Pilkington in the midfield as well as Fox, Crofts and Wes, I wouldn''t take any of them out to accommodate Lansbury
I think that he would get match time. He would be the natural understudy to Hoolahan at the tip of the diamond, and would be covering Bennett on the right to allow Lambert to play 4-4-2 with Pilkington on the other wing. From what I''ve seen of Pilkington so far, whilst early days, I personally don''t consider him as influential as Lansbury...... Pilkington missed the chance to play a dead simple ball to Holt against Chelsea which would have almost certainly have resulted in a City goal. Lansbury is a good player, and I think it would be Surman who would fall out of the reckoning to fit in Lansbury, especially if his performance against MK Dons is anything to go by...... he got made to look desperately lacking in every department.
 18. Oh, your talking about the ''Norwich Hit Squad''? The bunch of middle aged bald men with beer bellies who are probably about as athletic as a stoned pig? Otherwise known as the Norwich Hotdog Stomachs? I fail to see the relation between the NHS and the ICF, the former being a group of p*ss heads that still chant the highly creative "who are ya, who are ya" at away fans during , the latter being an organized football hooligan firm. If your going to write an essay about football hooligan firms, then stick with the firms that really do exist.
 19. There is plenty of information about the National Health Service online, and yes it does very much still exist.
 20.
Gary Megson Bryan Hamilton Glenn Roeder Peter Grant ...
The only manager on that list with a poorer record is Megson. Bryan Hamilton, the man who brought in the likes of Steve Walsh and Raymond De Waard, actually won a higher proportion of games. That says enough.
 21.
Can barely be classed worst manager any way, wasn''t exactly here long enough to judge his ability fully.
Yeah because the worst manager in recent history should get two seasons right? Just to confirm that they really are the worst, for the benefit of the history books and all that?He had 21 games and two transfer windows, that was plenty enough time to judge him. That''s how long crap managers last, they get sacked quickly.
 22.
Move on mate, Gunn was 2 years ago now...
Yeah your right, almost ancient history that, probably not many survivors of that Gunn era and those that are left probably have amnesia or dementia right?
 23. Before getting a cartilage injury and requiring surgery.Whilst I sympathise, he really was another shocking Gunn signing wasn''t he? We all knew that he was a crock when he signed.Right up there with Goran Maric who Lambert said tried to control the ball when he first got to the club and chested it further than Lambert could kick it in the process, and Simon Whaley, who apparently doesn''t have the mental strength to be a footballer (again not my words) and is now playing for a team lower than Lowestoft in the football pyramid. I know that there are some Gunn fans on this board still, but come on, I reckon we''d be in League Two and in administration by now under him. What would the team have looked like? How long would Grant Holt have stuck around? Here''s a Gunn team, pretty much:                              TheoklitisOtsemober   Askou        Nelson      DruryWhaley       OTJ           Gill           Hoolahan                   Holt         Maric / CuretonThat''s a League Two XI, it really is, with an inevitably unhappy Hoolahan and Holt in. I don''t have a hatred of Gunn, in fact I grew up worshipping him as a keeper, but he has to be the worst manager of the past 20 years?
 24.
Dont worry Hooleyfan, you''ll soon be back there. Norwich''s problem is they have a;ready shown they nor there supporters understand Premiership football, its not one league up from the championship, its a different ball gama altogether. Secondly you have an inexperienced and nieve manager, and his errors cost you games against MK Dons (ohh it doesnt matter i hear you cry, well can you see any of the top teams loosing like that, winning mentality its called) and being very lucky against stoke last week. and lastly - we all know you are in love with delia (was she sober yesterday) but wheres all the money going ?? When you lot were in the 2nd division you had a premiership ground, so why are they not spending money on players ? Delia (are you sober) is doing a "Chase" on you lot and youre too blind to see it - my bet is she and her lot have already calculated the balloon payment will be more than staying in the premiership. Work it out numb-skulls - Does being in the premiership mean you lot get extra income ? are you attendances bigger? is it more expensive to get in ? Think about it - They are not buying premiership quality players, they buy on the cheap, they will be relegated as its good business for the board - its not rocket science
I''ve heard that Old Trafford is running out of prawns Lester, run along and stock up from Tesco''s! Your post was so moronic that it isn''t worthy of my comment. I''m interested in  hearing more about how "Premier League grounds" have integrated money printing machines which work no matter what division you are in.
 25.
I was sitting in a corporate area of the East stand and had similar thoughts Hooleyfanthe away section was by a long way the loudest part of the ground, and apart from the goals and the music before kick off the crowd were largely quiet and passive.  the place is far too corporate, far too ''premium''.  it''s what i would imagine Red Bull Salzberg are like in Switzerland, or if Coca Cola were to create a football team and let the marketing department make all the decisions.craziest of all, the bit i sat in costs £2,750 for a season ticket - you''d have to be a muppet to pay thatglad to a Norwich fan, no other team quite like us.  just hoping we start to get a few points on the board to go with our gutsy performances
The same Red Bull Salzberg that play in the Austrian Bundesliga? You know, Austria, the birthplace of Hitler and Arnie? That country near to Germany, with the capital city called Salzberg? As for your point, the Red Bull Salzberg treatment is much less Chelsea and much more MK Dons. They declared a new club and deny all former club history, a new club formed by fans called SV Austria Salzburg is the equivalent of AFC Wimbledon. It''s somewhat ironic that Chelsea are the least likely club in the country to ever become a franchise though, isn''t it? There is a convenent which says that the Chelsea fans own Stamford Bridge and that the club can never be relocated. Contrast that to our club, who a year or so ago stated that the sale of Carrow Road is a possibility before having to backtrack following outrage!!It won''t be long until Red Bull try and buy a club here, they already have New York Red Bulls and RB Leipzig, if the anti-Delia bunch on here had their way then we might be seeing the Red Bull Stadium built in Thetford, where we can watch Red Bull Norfolk in a red and white strip.
