1.
Bear with me As much as we lacked quality in the first half yesterday, I though West Ham''s football was pretty poor all round. They used to be the ''footballing team'' from many many years ago (and they still hark on about that even 30/40/50 years later) Yes they had loads of possession, but at one stage in the first half, they had a passage of play that must have had at least 20/25 passes that ended up being passed back to their keeper. Not threatening our defence at all. There is nothing wrong in keeping the ball, waiting for an opportunity, but they didn''t seem bothered about looking for chances. Yes they couldn''t believe their luck when they scored, but to all intents and purposes I felt they would have been happy with a 0-0 from minute one. Again nothing wrong with that if you are away from home, and their (before yesterday) goals against column for away games was very impressive BUT are they turning into a side (Stoke esque) that no one wants to watch? Effective to stay in the league? Possibly, but probably not long term if they don''t change something (manager/tactics/players/all of the 3 mentioned?) I will be seeing a West Ham fan at work sometime this week, who has been supporting them for 50 years, and went yesterday , and will be interested in his views He wasn''t happy with Allardyce on Friday when I spoke to him, so we will see.
I think it was more to do with them not having a striker in the team making the runs forward and forced them to pass the ball without conviction. I wouldn''t compare them to Stoke though, I thought some of the football they played was fairly good in the first half even though we allowed them to. Can understand West Ham fans getting frustrated though, they had a rather poor transfer window and paying for it now.
2. I think it came from the middle of the lower Barclay near the back, that''s where it sounded like it came from to me.
3. When "he''s a club legend" and "he knows the ins and outs at the club" are used as reasons for suggesting a new manager, then they''re definitely not the best option. That goes someway towards suggesting Malky as manager as well, who is known as a defensive manager - the exact reason why people want rid of Hughton!
4. Judging from some of the poor cup performances from fringe players in the Lambert years, MK Dons and Leicester come to mind, I don''t think you can use that as an example of players not trying under Hughton last night.
5.

Adeyemi''s signed a 2 year contract in 2010 with an option of a further year for the club. Mcnally''s told us how they deal with Contracts, the category Adeyemi falls under is the "next stage". So yes he may well be off as well. Adeyemi returned to the club on the 11th April after Oldham decided not extend his loan. This despite Adeyemi expressing his will to stay there permanently. Tw@t.
I seem to remember someone posting a link either on here, or on WOTB, to a Oldham forum on Adeyemi''s return and they seemed to think they hadn''t extended his loan as they couldn''t afford his wages. I don''t think it was a sign of Tom''s ability just that things are too healthy up there.
I thought he was injured? There was a photo at a recent event, can''t whether it was player of the season awards or something, and Adeyemi had his foot in a boot. I''m pretty sure he did the lap of honour at the end of the season in a boot as well.
6.

Feel the club screwed up big time here, we are now left with 2 young CB, one who i doubt will play for City again, unreliable and super dodgy Ward and perhaps Martin. Appears to me like we will need to make 3 or so defensive signings this summer, very bizarre move
Who''s the young centre back who will never play for us again?
7. It took him a number of games to find his feet and start scoring in the Premier League. In tourament that would last at the most 6 games there isn''t room for someone to take a few games to step a level.
8. Did anyone seriously believe that he would be selected in the squad? Holt would have been a much bigger risk than Andy Carroll, who has already scored at international level and has time on his side to improve. If Holt went and flopped not only it massively effect his confidence for us next season, but Hodgson would get a lot of grief too. Also, just because you don''t like the squad doesn''t mean Hodgson should go or you ''support'' a different country. No need to be bitter about it.
9. The constant craving for attention that some Norwich fans want is embarassing, and the same when something negative is said - whether it''s true or not! It reminds me of how I used to act when I was 10. Linker is probably fed up with it every week, as am I.Look at it this way. Swansea and Brendan Rodgers are getting lots of praise (rightly so, of course), this means that more people will be focussed on their players in the summer - and manager, like the rumours of Rodgers going to Spurs if Redknapp leaves for England. While we continue with our great performances under the radar with little threat of clubs coming in for our best players and helping to develop as a team and club.On the topic of the Match of The Day order I''m not exactly sure what the difference is to being on 3rd instead of 4th. The first two games have more coverage because they were better games and have more riding on the result. Norwich and Everton who have nothing to compete for in the league now are on 4th out of 8 games, that can hardly be something to moan about. Fans need to stop trying to find stuff to moan about and instead enjoy the brilliant spell that we are having at the minute.
10. Definitly one of the most underrated players in the league I think. Has been one of their best players this season, having played the majority of it out of position as well.
11. I watched the review DVD of last season a few weeks ago, I had completely forgot how good he was technically. The problem is though he hasn''t really played that much competitive football in his career so far, and that showed in his decision making sometimes. I would definitely have him back in a heart beat though, he could do a job for us and we all know that he would put 100% in at least every game. Of course there are the other factors that would effect any possible deal for him to come here which were highlighted by Indy_Bones.
12. I think they have been back on for a while. I asked in a pub in Norwich before Christmas and they said that they had it back on then. Looking at the link it looks like it was just another court case to try prevent the pubs showing 3pm football.
13. Seeing as he was being marked 2 or more players for most of the match it was always going to hard for him, especially if the midifeld aren''t going to offer him any support. He done his best, but he wasn''t going to beat Sunderland on his own. There was one stage in the first half where he managed to get past three players to find there was no one to pass to and ended up losing the ball to the relentless closing down of the Sunderland players. For the majority of the game he saw the ball being pumped up over his head, and he isn''t going to do much in the air. You could see him getting frustrated and he started to give the ball away more in the second which is why it was a good decision to bring him off. Everyone has off days though so to say he isn''t up for it is stupid. Samir Nasri hasn''t done that well for Man City this season, does this mean that he isn''t "up to it"?
14. I think it''s mainly down to the pace of the full backs. Last year he would have been able to beat most full backs by just knocking the ball past them, this season though he''s had to think about how to beat people a bit more. He''s getting better though, for example his assist for Jackson''s goal against Fulham. Also the majority of games he has started we''ve only played with Morison up front on his own, and as he can sometimes drift out wide there isn''t always an option to put the ball into the box. As I said though, he''s improving as the season goes on.
15. On Radio Norfolk the other day they said that it''s a show for the region''s lower league teams to get coverage. We might get the ocassional name drop, but I don''t think we''ll see any City highlights like last year.
