Would guess the majority of numbers will be decided by the start of the season. Every player will have a certain number they want Any signings after that will presumably get any numbers that are available (Like how Morison ended up with number 5). Squad numbers won''t be official though until we submit the squad after the end of the transfer window. (I think).

Press conference scheduled for tomorrow
87canary replied to gravycanaries's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
87Canary, the ones who wont be training might not yet have been signed...
Good point! Hadn''t thought of that. All in all, pretty decent press conference. All the right things said by everyone. Exciting times. Especially the line about improving the squad rather than bringing in cover. -
Press conference scheduled for tomorrow

Interesting quote on this one: CH: "The large majority of the team will be back in training on Thursday. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes." Wonder who won''t be training..... Unless I''m reading too much into it, and some are still on holiday or something? -
Fred allegedly has a £1.7m buyout clause. We could afford that. Pretty sure we wouldn''t be the only ones interested though. Lol

Holt, Ruddy, Hooper and Foster

Ben Foster? or Fraser Forster? -
Chelsea bid for Ruddy turned down
87canary replied to LifeLongCanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Would be gutted if he went. Also think it would be career suicide. Chelsea already have the long-term replacement to Cech lined up in Courtois. Ruddy would only ever be backup keeper at Chelsea. It''s down to the money really. If he wants football over money, I''d like to think he''d stay here. If he wants a few extra notes in his back pocket, he''ll be off. Strikes me as the former. But you never know. -
Not Norwich related but made me laugh
87canary replied to Morisons Prozac's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
To be fair, at least Morison scored for them. Becchio got an assist in the penultimate game of the season, but has hardly set the world on fire himself. -
We''ll be fine. Transfer window isn''t even properly open yet. I imagine we will start doing some proper business from Monday, with the majority done before the US preseason trip.
-
Decent first post! Can''t say I''ve ever seen Mancienne play. So I''ll have to take your word on him. Wouldn''t mind Townsend here to be fair. Got a hell of a shot on him

Team for next season/What we still need

Turner, R Martin and R Bennett all good enough CB options -
Source? Probably just more twitter rumours.

Due to my boredom, I''ve created this team on the FIFA 13 Creation Centre. Will let you know how it plays tonight. Haha!

Jed Steer off to Villa
I guess if it''s not official then we can''t talk about it then. Seems fair.
Talk about the possibility - yes. Claiming it''s a done deal - ridiculous. -
Jed Steer off to Villa

Not sure I got the point across in my last post... JUST BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING ON THE INTERNET, IT DOESN''T MEAN IT''S GOING TO HAPPEN. If it does, fair enough. But at the moment it''s all unsubstantiated rumours. -
Jed Steer off to Villa

The only source seems to be someone on twitter said it. Not even an ''ITK'' account. just some random bloke. Must be true then...... -
Not taking anything away from CH, as I am a fan. I don''t think he is the calibre of manager Spurs are looking for. All he has on his CV is Promotion with Newcastle and Survival with us. Spurs will be wanting 4th place or higher next season guaranteed to have any chance of keeping Bale happy. Hughton to them would be a risk, and i can''t see them taking it. However if he WAS offered it, I''m sure he''d take it.
-
A few mentioned that Spurs tried to hijack the deal at the last minute, but I''m not sure how true that is.
-
the "more tomorrow" will no doubt be a rehashed Gary Hooper/Andi Weimann story. Wasn''t it Nursey who reported our interest in Jacob Mulenga in January!? or Ibrahima Toure...
-
A few times this season they''ve put the "Full 90" on the online canaries player for some games, could be worth a look to see if this is one of them. If not, I think the canaries player team have a different contact address/number to the club, could be worth digging that out. If I wasn''t on my iPad (doesnt work on here), I''d have a look for you

Lambert should be a comedian!

Haha, I don''t usually get involved in the lambert stuff on here or twitter. But this is pretty funny -

Struggling with number 4. Got two of the sendings off. Going to have to look up the other two -
I sat through the show thinking Russ would be on straight away. 1 hour and twenty minutes of some of the worst broadcasting I''ve ever heard. Russ did a good interview though. Was almost worth the wait.

Can''t find a link from our side. Must''ve been a McNally/Club tweet. But here''s an article confirming the team we''re playing on the 18thhttp://www.news10.net/news/article/245486/3/Mexican-pro-team-to-feature-in-first-Sac-Soccer-Day-friendly
