1. 1. How has your pre-season gone? Results wise and performance wise?  It was alright. Standard pre season really. Couple of draws, couple of wins, no real long-term injury concerns. 2. Everybody believes you''ve made some good summer signings, including two Everton targets. Have you seen much of them in pre-season and if so, how have they done?  Seen enough from both to believe they will both be big players for us. Redmond is exciting, and Fer is a beast in midfield. 3. Have you made enough signings? Is there anywhere you haven''t yet improved which you feel you needed to?  Would like to see another attacking mid/second striker. Possibly a centre back too. 4. Who will be your key player/s this season?  Hooper, van Wolfswinkel, Snodgrass, Bassong and Ruddy. 5. What are your expectations of the season?  Mid-table again. But towards the high end. Between 12th and 8th. We seem to be doing one place better each year, so I''ll say 10th. 6. What are your thoughts on Chris Hughton? Is he the man to take you forward?  Yes. He is. He had a job to do last season in keeping us up. MIssion accomplished. This is his season to build on that with his new signings.  Moving on to Everton...  7. The Blues have seen a new manager take the Goodison reigns. What do you make of Roberto Martinez? How do you think he will fare at Everton?  I think he is overrated. (sorry). As a person I like him. He seems genuine. But I don''t understand how he can be that close to relegation every season and still regarded as a top manager. If I were an Everton fan, his signings would worry me. Is it 4 Ex-Wigan players now? 8. If, hypothetically, you could sign any ONE Everton player for free, who would it be and why?  Baines. Great player down the left. Great going forward as well as defending. 9. Where do you think us Toffee''s will finish this season?  Despite my doubts about his signings, Kone does score goals and Robles is a good keeper. You should be looking to finish above Liverpool, but I don''t think you''ll quite do it. 9th. Finally, the match...  10. Who will be your biggest threat to the Everton side on Saturday? (Now Grant Holts gone ;) )  Redmond and Snodgrass. 11. From the away side, who do you think will trouble your Canaries side the most?  Kone. 12. Predictions?  We have done well against Everton since our return to the Premier League. 2-2, or a 3-2 win to us.
 2. They can still all change up until the squad is submitted after the transfer window
 3. Adel Gafaiti. Played for our development squad for the whole of last season.
 4. Could see us getting Huddersfield and James Vaughan scoring a hat trick :/
 5. Bit of a shame. But we beat Everton without him last season. No reason we can''t do it again.
 6.

31 year old? - 30 actually.
30 years, 6 months and 5 days actually.
So he''s 30 and a half, that still isn''t 31.
Well it isn''t 30 either is it? It is 30 and a half.
Well he''s still a week younger than Shaun Maloney....If you want to split hairs

 8.
I do agree with the Quags signing though. A 31 year old non-English speaker for a significant sum of money who thinks he is a bit above this team that he''s never heard of, probably wanting to be the big fish in a team which now has two very talented high profile strikers, for a big transfer fee.I''d rather us take a punt on Anthony Knockeart from Leicester, or if the price is right Shaun Maloney from Wigan.

A 31 year old
He''s 30.
non-English speaker
Becchio and Garrido hardly speak perfect English.
who thinks he is a bit above this team that he''s never heard of, probably wanting to be the big fish in a team which now has two very talented high profile strikers
Any basis for this? Not seen it mentioned anywhere.... Seems to be conjecture (made up).
Anthony Knockeart from Leicester
Bottled it in the playoff semi-final. Also a winger, different type of player to Quagliarella.
Shaun Maloney from Wigan
Relegated for a reason. Would reportedly cost more than Quagliarella, and is the same age.
 9.

we made little effort to keep a 32 year old PROVEN Premier striker/captain in Holt, but we are prepared to risk £7 million on a 31yr old unproven one. Madness!
Quagliarella is 30, not 31. 30 is around (29-31) the same age as: Robin van Persie Arjen Robben Carlos Tevez Dimitar Berbatov Zlatan Ibrahimovic I''d take any of those ''too old'' players at Carrow Road if we had the funds.... Not that old really if he can get goals. He''ll have a good 3 or 4 seasons in him yet. Quagliarella is a better player than Grant Holt.
Hopefully, it''ll never be put to the test here 87''
Personally, I hope it is.

 11. I''m going! Got tickets No. 7,8,9 & 10! Not sure about the squad, I think the youth are on a tour of Germany, couple of them were tweeting about it and being in Stuutgart. No idea when they''re back, or who exactly has gone.
 12.
Agreed .... let''s hope for a good turnout. I plan to bring four .... we paid at the turnstiles last time so have not pre-booked.
Aye, you can only buy in advance from the Cambridge ticket office. So guessing most people will be paying on the turnstile. Seating is unreserved too, so basically sit where you can
 13. Bought my tickets the other day, and got ticket numbers 7,8,9 & 10. Really hope some more people go and there''s more than 10 of us!
 14. Maybe Hughton wants to see if he''s any good in a match situation (ie good enough to be on our bench), but doesn''t want to give him game time ahead of RvW/Hooper. So loan him out until January, see how he does, if he scores a few, he comes back, sits on our bench, if he doesn''t score any, he''ll flog him in January and bring in a replacement. Seems logical to me, provided another striker comes in.
 15. Graeme Bailey works for Sky Sports:https://twitter.com/GraemeBailey
Sky Sports journo, but this is all my OWN opinion, and not of Sky Sports. Abuse will result in being blocked! Proud member of the Football Writers'' Association.skysports.com
16. Danny Welbeck Nani Joe Hart Gareth Barry Per Mertesacker Probably more, but that''s the top of my head
 17.
Anyone know when the team is due to fly back to Norwich?
Friday I believe. From this article: http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city-fc/jet_setting_norwich_city_add_braga_and_brighton_visits_to_their_pre_season_programme_1_2231510A week after returning from their three-game tour in the United States, the Canaries will jet off again. This time it will be to Portugal where they will face SC Braga, who finished fourth in the Primeira Liga last term, at the Axa Stadium on Friday, August 2
 18.
Benteke didn''t go off injured. He went off because he''s only had 4 days training thus far. And despite being the bright spark he''s clearly not fit yet. As for the defence last night (first half) it was led by Baker, supplemented by two youth kids and utility man Herd. It''s about giving everyone some minutes. You need to see what they can do obviously. If we lose the next 4 it won''t matter one jot. It''s pre season, all that matters is fitness. Mind you, even getting the likes of Agbonlahor, Weimann, Helenius, Tonev, Albrighton, Okore, Bennett, N''Zogbia onto the actual training field might be nice before August Roll on Crewe
www.villatalk.com
 19. Maybe Ola wanted to come here, but his agent put the word out he didn''t want to, in the hope of a ''bigger'' club coming in, with more money, resulting in a bigger fee for said agent? Could happen
 20. They''re travelling from San Jose to Portland for the last few days of preseason and the Portland game.

 22. Bought a ticket in the river end this morning and it was £43 with a Priority Membership. Think it was £45 without one. No idea what band Everton is though, sorry.
 23. Getting tickets to this tomorrow. Even it''s mostly our under 18''s/21''s it''ll still be worth a watch.
 24. ''I''m hearing'' - no. no you''re not. you read it on twitter
