  1. Delia and Michael need to confirm he won't be staying beyond his current contract which is up in June to simply stop the disconnect. Its clear he won't be here next season. Just confirm it and noone will care if he talks or not
  2. No better than Onel based on the football I've seen them both play for Norwich. Maybe 3 or 4 good halfs of football from him all season...although, that's still more than most of our team!
  3. Curious to know what drink is in that glass of yours!
  4. I won't be going to any more home games this season, let alone away games. Just don't see why I would waste my time. I Couldn't even find someone to take my two tickets to Newcastle. Serious Apathy around Norfolk, but as usual everyone in the club seems too oblivious to the atmosphere, or simply ignoring it!
  5. Supports what I posted on here recently about pissing money up the wall this summer. Don't know how much evidence some on here need. Definitely looks to have been a fall out between Webber and Ma****er
  6. Well at least we know there never was an agreement with Buendia! This just seems to be a rumour started by those on here to justify our club selling our best player on promotion, when we should have been making him our highest earner.
  7. Our summer dealings remind me of that episode in the Sunderland documentary where the sporting director ends up paying way over the odds for Will Griggs (I belive it was him), despite being told to run away from the deal. I feel like we waited to the end of the window, didn't get our main targets and panicked.
  8. Thanks for this. Some good points raised, especially the debate around being a community club
  9. I would be keeping him. Too limited for the Premier league but plenty good enough for the championship. I suspect he is one if the few leaders we have within the playing staff and he obviously cares about the club, which is more than a lot of our players
  10. Webber has spent pretty much the same on the loan fees for Kabak and Fahrman combined as we spent on Naismeth. I would argue they've all had pretty much the same impact. I guess you would add that we were lumbered with Naismeth's wages. But that's been the case with numerous of Webber's signings as well, Drmic being the one who sticks out the worst and supposedly on 40 to 50k and we have been stuck paying 90%. If the question is which regime has pissed more money up the wall, it's without a doubt Webber. If the questiom is which regime improved our infrastructure the most, answer is Webber. If the question is which regime purchased the most valuable assets, the answer is McNally, and with far fewer funds. If the question is which regime was more competitive in the prem, again the answer is McNally. For me, and to be honest, I think objectively, Webber hasn't gotten close to being the success McNally was. Granted McNally left us with serious financial issues, but he also left us with the players to sell to get out of it. Right now we have Aarons (potentially Omo in a few years) who has any value since Krul and Pukki's ages go against them and Webber has spent 75m+ in two seasons to put us in such a poor position asset and football wise.
  11. We also had a fair few sellable assets last time. This time we only have aarons and I suspect his value has halved.
  12. Probably the best of our permanent summer signings but I haven't seen enough to think he is any better than Onel. Flatters to deceive far too often and poor end product. As others have said, a season building confidence in the championship could be ideal for him. I suspect he will be the one making the most noise to leave this summer
  13. Where are you hearing these rumours? From people you know who work in the club? Good riddance in my opinion, Saturday was really a dark day for him and the club. Delia and Michael are left with no other option but to get rid otherwise it will be those two who fans start coming for very quickly.
  14. I agree. Delia has a history of giving way too much power to one individual. It's a shame as I've always been supportive of Delia as owner and I do believe we can survive in the prem under a model not too dissimilar to ours, but under such a model mistakes are more damming, as is selling your best player on promotion and replacing him with several players of a far lesser skill level in the hope one of them becomes a resealable asset. I would prefer to see a mix of buying for the future but also buying established players at a peak age who can give a real attempt at Premier league survival. My main concern right now is we have filled our club with young players looking to use us as a steeping stone and a real lack of leaders. It's the complete opposite to the club we built under Lambert, with a squad able to compete in the prem and assembled on a far smaller budget.
  15. I agree with the other comments that Delia is essentially keeping him around as she doesn't know what else to do. However, I understood that Webber had a succession plan in place for if he left. But then again, he always said the same about a succession plan for Farke; that clearly wasn't the case!
  16. Indeed, I meant McNally signed...edited post cheers
  17. Agree. I still think he has a lot more to show to fully justify the price but he is the is the only one from the summer I suspect we will ever sell for more than we purchased him for.
  18. The Buendia, Pukki and Krul signings were all fantastic, fully agree. However, McNally signed Maddison and many of the youngsters Webber has sold for good money, so my point re previous comments still stands IMO
  19. Suspect it was a desperation signing after others failed. Would explain the price situation as well
  20. Huh? I don't know the exact figure but it's between 4 and 5m. I'm sure you can guess the source from my replies...I won't say anymore
  21. The Kabak fee is 100% correct. It's between 4 and 5m so can't guarantee the the exact amount but the source for this couldn't be wrong...
  22. Signing mercenaries who jump ship following relegation is probably a big part of the issue
  23. So I'm sure we are all aware of Webber's comments regarding past regimes pissing money up the wall but I doubt we are all fully aware of Webbers record in this regard. I will share the info I have as I think those at the top need to be held to account: 5m on Kabak plus wages - this one I know for a fact Farhman - 3.5m loan fee - this one is heresay from people within the club, I don't know for a fact but i do have a reliable source for this Sargent - offered to us for around 5m at the start of the window, ended up spending close to 10m on him - source nick ma****or and talk norwich city Norman- I don't have any info Gilmour - minimal cost and I understand the fee is not based on games played, just sharing this as there has been a lot of rumours on here that we pay based on appearance which I understand is not the case. In slightly other news, I spoke to Kieran Tierney today at the Emirates and he stated that Gilmour is a fantastic prospect for Scotland...shame he doesn't suit a club fighting relegation Agent fees - 8.5m last summer, again this is from a very good source but I don't know whether some of the loan fees mentioned above are included here. I don't have any other info on signings over the last few seasons, but from the info I do have it is clear that Webber has been splunking money at levels far beyond any previous regime and I haven't even considered the awful signings.
  24. How anyone can put a positive spin on this interview is beyond me...If they can, I know a certain country looking for new news presenters to peddle the propaganda
