  1. Anyone going to the match at CC on Friday evening? KO 7pm
  2. He was at Colney on sat am in gym and then went out onto the fields with physio and ward to go through their paces.
  3. Snakepit Canary The youth team have 3 or 4 that I think have enough about them to make it in the first team. Ball, Steer, Dawkin and Werndly. That said, when will they get a chance is another question especially with the potential of the Premiership! I agree, good to see the Academy pushing good players through. The manager seems to have that winning mentality as well as developing players. Something the likes of Arsenal and others dont and I am sure when they develop as players this is what separates the men from the boys. I will try and get a report back this weekend following the FA Youth cup match.
  4. Was at the game and although the pitch and the wind played a huge contribution towards the quality of play, Norwich were by far the better team and never looked as though they were going to lose the game. The game was split into three 30min periods and Norwich started with what would have been their stronger team. Not sure for Ipswich, but I did recognise most of them being U 18. After some scrappy play, Norwich began to pass the ball better and scored through Jack Werndly, who was making his first appearance since breaking his collarbone in the match against Portsmouth last year. The he made a neat run onto a through ball from the midfield and slid the ball past the oncoming Ipswich keeper and into the bottom right corner. Second goal came from Jamar loza. Header from cross into corner and taken very well. The last period saw lots of changes from Norwich and U 16''s given a run out. They played well, but Ipswich pulled a goal back to make the final score 2-1 to Norwich. Looking forward to the FA Youth Cup next Friday against Fulham at Craven Cottage...with striker Werndly back scoring and winning ways again...should see them progressing through to the next round!
  5. Not to sure about the others as havnt seen enough of them except for Josh Dawkin, who is certainly a name for the future. He is a 3rd year scholar. I have seen Jack Werndly on numerous occaisions throughout the last 3 years and remember him coming on as sub for West Ham reserves against Norwich City at Carrow Road last season. He was only on for 9 mins and scored and also had one disallowed for offside. I also saw him play against Norwich City Under 18''s or maybe 16''s and he got 4 goals in a one sided victory. Reading up, he has played for Leicester City, Crystal Palace and West Ham X1 so far this season and has scored for each club in each appearance this season. Speaking to someone that follows West Ham Youth, he still had 1 year to run on his scholarship, but wanted regular football and was unhappy with the amount of game time available at WHU due to the number of strikers they have signed on, so he asked if he could look outside of the Academy. Since his start at Norwich he has scored 5 goals in all games and without doubt strengthens their squad. I will try and follow more games in the coming weeks as I am working in the area for the next 2 months. YTF
  6. I have been following the Under 18''s this season and notice they have signed a second year scholar from West Ham. He has scored 2 against Lowestoft last week, got a nice opening goal against Birmingham last Sat and then got the winner against MK Dons yesterday. His name is Jack Werndly.
