he does not need the 5% or what ever they pay him why wreck a football club if you own it ?

really have to thank our lucky stars we do not have anyone like that here dragging to club down to its last bones

also proves you need someone with money but who is willing to spend it he is far richer than Delia but just uses it to make himself money
I’m not sure it’s entirely true. He doesn’t see the point spending another 15-20m as it doesn’t guarantee promotion. There’s plenty of other clubs doing just that and they’re still in the same division.

In reality, you’re owners are doing the exact same model. This summer you’ll sell off your best player(s) again to cover the shortfall in your budget.

They’ll be replaced by youth players or cheap Germans which is effectively how we’re operating without the need to sell anyone as our owner covers the short fall each season. You lot just need to hope that every year you have someone of value to sell as your owner doesn’t have the money to do that.
You mustn''t confuse ''not having to sell'' with ''having no one worth selling''.
Whenever you''ve had a player of vague ability under Evans you''ve sold them. The reality is there''s no one offering millions for any of your players.
Also if you bother to work it out, the £6 million he''s putting in every year is basically what we get more than you from gate receipts.
It’s been widely documented that you will NEED to sell again this year.

You’ll also be funding Cat 1 academy. The money will need to come from somewhere.

After Maddison, there is no one of any real value worth selling is there? You may churn a few off but it’s debatable as to how much you’d get for them & we could also churn off a few that may also be worth something in today’s market. Waghorn of course has scored more goals/assists than Maddison has this season so you’d think he’s worth a few quid in today’s market?

  3.
Keano! You''ve made many such forrays onto the pink un over the past 8 years. After each and every one you''ve had to slink off with your tail between your legs. On a scale of 1 to 10 how confident are you that this time will be different and the dog will finally have his day?

On to more immediate matters our pledge is not going to hurt either of us. I think the most it could cost me is a fiver and the most for you would be £7. Maybe we''ll end up level points?
Of course & i’ll Stick to my word. I suspect I’ll end up paying out. Perhaps the same bet next season?

  4.
Couple of classic posts on there Bigears......."My Nodge Season Ticket holding friend reckons that Gunn, Reed,

Maddison, Klode, Pinto, Lietner, Murphy, Oliveira, Martin, Naismith and

Jarvis will all go this summer. He’s expecting a tough season next year,

and won’t be rule out the possibility of relegation, which is quite

something for the normally oh so cocky canaries".
And......."It''s a big big summer for them. They may get it right but it could go

horribly wrong. I don''t subscribe to this German outfit so let''s hope it

another horrendous season. WHEN Maddison does go there really isn''t

anything between Us and them apart from we are financially secure

What’s wrong with that statement? If you read the thread, Phil Ham has also mentioned that there is a shortfall in your budget that you’ll have to cover via the sale of players you’d presume. Whereas all out debt is owed solely to our owner who’s also putting money into the club every year to prop up that budget. Who’s going to prop up your budget now? Yeah you’ll have higher attendances but that’s not going to solely give you a decent budget. Perhaps that’ll provide an extra 1-2m? That aside, you’ll probably need another 5-6m every summer just to stay afloat/have any sort of competitive budget. Where’s that coming from? A firesale every summer perhaps?

  5. In comparison, you’re begging your fans to pay to keep the Cat 1 afloat, your attendances have also started to drop. You’ve got one decent player to sell which will keep you afloat next season, god alone knows where you’d be this season without Maddison carrying you! We’ve got 3-4 decent young players emerging, all playing for the England youth teams this week. One of which our academy director has said is the best young player he’s worked with in his career - a fair old statement when you consider the clubs he’s been at.

Not to mention that we’ve got an owner who’s financing any losses. After Maddison, there’s not a lot else to sell, so who going to finance your losses? It’s widely reported that after your next firesale you’ll have an even smaller budget than us next season...

  6. How did you get to the point about being in a far better financial position than us?

You’re having to sell your best players to stay afloat and by all accounts, next season your wage bill will be even less than ours!

Maddison aside, there isn’t really anyone else of note left to sell after Pritchard is gone?

  7.
Hilarious. I mean Wes has mugged your lot off for nigh on 10 years but dont worry, your players are definitely better.
“Has” being the key word.

Let’s be honest, you mugged us off at our place. We should’ve been 2-3 goals up before Maddison scored from nothing.

At this stage, the table doesn’t lie. Will we finish top 6? Probably not. But I’d be fairly confident we’ll finish above your lot! With the next fire saw in the summer, I’d say you should start to get used to that!

  8.
Thats the thing. I agree he is slightly overrated but try not to base all your findings including your own strikers on one season. I dont see any of your players being touted with a multi million move which is normally a good indicator of how the rest of the footballing world view players.

Oliveira, Jerome, Pritchard, Maddison, Tettey, Wes. All better than the scums equivelants.
Probably because our clubs not touting our players to other clubs?

Keep believing your own hype. The only player I’d want out of that lot is Pritchard...

  9.
We can say what we like about Big Mick he has a team of free cheap players that he can get a tune out of

that''s the upsetting bit our players are better than Ipswich players all day long but something is wrong that they do not play that way
Are they really? Maybe Pritchard?

Your midfield is awful & youve got one overrated striker...I’d certainly rather have our striking options than what you’ve got to offer...

  10.

They are leaving us for dead... 8 points clear.
The last time they were 8 points clear we got this.........https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BnX6d4QCYAAcebH.jpgWhat happened next? [:D]
Bit different this time though. Last time you had a good squad, this time you’ve got a load of cheap Germans...

  11.
That doesn’t answer the question KK. Have you ever seen Ipswich beat Norwich? And do you think you will this decade?
Of course I have. I saw us beat you 3-2 to effectively relegate you to League One.

The tides are changing. You’ll have another fire sale in the summer or maybe even January? You’ll have a very low wage budget, lower than ours, then we will see what happens!

  12.
That style of football can be extremely effective. The problem with Mick''s football isn''t apparent when the team is in good form or on a good run, which they are on right now. It looks clever and efficient.

The problem is when it isn''t working, which is more often than not with their budget it is unbearable to watch. Far worse than anything we''ve witnessed at CR this year. Imagine winning the ball back finally after only having 30% possession all game and immediately seeing our players mindlessly hit it long almost every bloody time. Our fans wouldn''t tolerate it.

They''re in form and confident right now. So they''ll make a lot of teams they play look silly. It won''t last though and they''ll settle back into a rut again soon enough and after a couple of abysmal looking defeats they''ll all turn on MM/their players again.
I’ve no idea why you think we’re just a long ball team as that Just isn’t the case.

Ultimately, you’re playing lovely tippy tally football (I didn’t see any of that in the game against us btw) and you’ve amassed 17 goals all season. Only three sides in the league are worse off. We’re currently the 3rd top scorers in the league with almost double the amount of goals scorerd as you lot.

I know which football I’d find more entertaining that’s for sure...

  13.
Who else, we’ll Jarvis, Naismith, Klose, Tettey, Jerome please!

In reality you’re right, we only have Pritchard, Murphy and Maddison who are worth decent return. Oliviera and Wilds are not really living upto that big transfer fee and wages, they need to step it up.

Still gloat all you like you’ll still be playing championship football for another 15 seasons Keano.
Of course, but let’s be honest, there’s only one way Norwich are going at present....can you imagine 1-2 years from now with no parachute payments?

  14.
KK, There must be a whole generation of your fans that have never witnessed an Ipswich victory of Norwich, are you one of them? Do you think you will manage a win against us in this decade?
Most certainly. It’s clear the times are changing. This summer or maybe even January there will be another fire sale and by the start of next season you’ll have a smaller playing budget than us if the reports are to be believed.

Maddison aside though, who else is there to sell?

  15. A few injuries or suspensions? You''ve missed the part where we''ve had 11 players injured at some points this season? We still only have 1 fit CB and have 4-5 to return from injury.

We''ve certainly got a better squad and balance than we''ve had in a long time and probably one of the best strikers in the league in McGoldrick. Adeyemi has been excellent in midfield and really improved us over the last few weeks. We battered Sunderland and should''ve had 7 or 8. We should''ve beat Leeds at the weekend as well having dominated.

A lot is being made about an "easy start" but there are no easy games as you know; see Burton, Millwall & Sunderland.

Will we finish top 6? Probably not as there are a lot of big spending clubs - but we''re better than people give us credit for & have plenty of goals in us
