  1. Not overly concerned about pre-season results, but there does seem to be a lack of creativity and cohesion in the team. Hopefully they'll up it for the real stuff.
  2. Assuming the majority of the yoof will be loaned out, I wonder if he sees Rowe and Springett as genuine first team contenders in our most packed area.
  3. Just got my away members pack - genuinely useful gift included for once (can’t say i wore last year’s socks much).
  4. 18 year old Leo Bonucci in there! Still going strong.
  5. I think we've been a bit spoilt with the successes of Godfrey, Aarons, Maddison etc. It would be interesting to compare equivalent signings from other clubs at a comparable level and see how they've got on.
  6. That's disappointing, I thought there were high hopes for him. Maybe he'll work his way back up.
  7. Not in favour, although it probably will disproportionately benefit us. There's maybe a slightly stronger argument for it in the EFL I guess with 3 games most weeks. Feels like an attempt to solve a non-existent problem.
  8. Make or break season for Idah I reckon, he's been "potential" for a long time. Not sure what to do with Sargent, he's sort of ok as a striker or wide forward, but not great at either. Hugill surplus to requirements for me.
  9. Before the season I would have hoped for good progress for Cantwell, Tzolis, Onobamidele and Idah. Of the ones who have actually played, I was excited by Kabak and Normann, but Normann has at least contributed a bit. Edit: Not all worst player shouts, just disappointments
  10. As a guess - Gunn, Omo, Idah. Aarons and Cantwell to leave. Springett and Rowe might be best off loaned out? I think Tomkinson and Kamara have a future but may find their paths blocked for now.
  11. The fact that our overall league position in the last 4 seasons has been 21st > 20th > 21st > 20th (probably) gives a pretty precise indication of our level.
  12. Wow, what a list. Obviously Wes a different story, but other than that Lita and Clingan the only ones I have any positive recollection of.
  13. Emi had a ridiculous performance against Wolves one time, although I think we drew. Created a bagful of chances.
  14. Oh and on loan players generally, they don't have to be an absolute success or an absolute failure, we've had plenty who have been... fine. Harper, Crouch, Dijks, Reed, Rhodes, Quintilla off the top of my head.
  15. I think it's fair to say he hasn't lacked for effort, but it's not that he's not good enough, it's that he's not suitable to the situation. He'd probably look great in a mid-table team.
  16. That was already happening in Farke's last few games as I recall, we started banging long balls forward regularly
  17. TBH I'd snap your hand off for a draw in the league and loss in the cup.
  18. Maybe a bit obvious but the Damned United is great.
  19. Was it really 5m? I know we don't generally disclose exact fees, but presumably a proportion of that would be add-ons. Transfermarkt has the fee at £2.97m.
  20. I don't think anyone denies he's a very talented player and an impressive signing, but there were definitely doubts over whether he was what we needed.
