  1. Ah, I see, so maybe early next week. Thanks ...ASMS. Travel booking not a problem as I live about half a mile from the ground!
  2. Anyone know when tickets for this go on sale?
  3. I was wondering about that, it does seem that Tettey and Trybull come as a package deal, and other combinations haven''t been tried out that much (dictated by availability sometimes obvsly). Vrancic and Reed might show up better partnered with one of them.
  4. We''ve got a few players who could do with some game-time - Wildschut, Naismith, Martin, Stieperman, Wes, Jerome, Husband, McGovern - who are all first-team contenders if not necessarily first choice. Add in Raggett and Vrancic and you can still put out a pretty strong team while giving a few a rest.
  5. From my experience playing as a passing midfielder (albeit at a MUCH lower level), you need runners off the ball to make your job easy, and to make you look good. I can see a lot of pretty passing in your line-up, but I can see a lot of it being in front of the opposition defence with no-one to burst in behind. Not saying they wouldn''t get in at all, but it risks getting congested and predictable. In my opinion.
  6. Have to admit I don''t know what referees have been instructed this season on interpretation of goal-scoring opportunities etc, but I reckon Nelson would have needed one more touch then had a clear shot. Can''t believe anyone would even question the penalty one, nailed on (both at the time and on replays).
  7. LDC, that looks like a lot of ball players with no-one to play the ball to.
  8. Everything always gets so black and white on this board. The coach should make decisions based on his overall approach, experience and what he sees on the pitch, but informed by stats in their proper context. The stats shouldn''t dictate the approach, and can be dismissed if the coach so chooses, but they are undoubtedly a valuable tool in his kit.
  9. As already stated Vrancic isn''t a number 10. Otherwise looks good.
  10. Happy with Hoola''s team, dependent on injury update. Maybe Murphy for Yanic.
  11. It''s pretty frustrating when we have the ball in a good crossing position, then pass it back and eventually turn it over without getting near the box again. Especially if the whole exercise eats up several minutes of our time.
  12. Thought he did fine. Old boys behind me were slating him from his first touch - some people draw their conclusions first then make the facts fit later.
  13. Husband''s form is on an upward curve, so a bit harsh to drop him I think. May not be a decision to make if Stiep''s still injured. Obviously Cam in if Nelson''s not ready. Otherwise, looks good to me. Not 100% convinced by Murphy so far this season, but would still start him here.
  14. Stick Zimbo up top and lump it to his nut.
  15. Franke the only one I have any major concern about - can''t imagine his confidence is high given that his dropping has coincided with a massive defensive improvement. Watkins and Husband look like they can do a decent job (although probably not first in line for their positions). Think Vrancic will blow hot and cold, but then so do some of our other creative players.
  16. To the tune of Bad Medicine by Bon Jovi: We love you, James Maddison James Maddison is what I need, whoa Shake it up just like James Maddison There ain''t no doctor that can cure my diseae
  17. A win (by any margin), no injuries and a convincing performance to keep building the confidence back up.
  18. If Klose''s available... Gunn Pinto / Hanley / Klose / Husband Tettey / Reed Nais / Wes / Josh Nelson
  19. Matthew Benham''s comments are a bit depressing. Sure the point of existence for football clubs is for the fans, but it sounds like he sees them as increasingly irrelevant, or even an inconvenience.
  20. It''s mistakes in possession which worry me, I feel he gives the ball away increasingly often (although I don''t have any stats). Maybe he''s attempting more risky passes in the new playing style.
  21. Was going to argue, but you said "End of", thus winning the argument automatically. Well played.
  22. Not one to leap to the defence of politicians at all, but citing worst living human Philip Davies as representative is not entirely fair.
  23. I''d bring Tettey in with Reed and give Madders a break.
