  1. Sara has scored with headers this season because he timed his runs, Idah was in the wrong position, he just need to delay his run by a second or two. I thought he had some good touches prior to this. Shame, just more ammo  for the haters.

  2. Wagner comes across as a manager who is not afraid to make controversial selections. If Idah remains in the side it’s because he’s carrying out the role as outlined by manager which is of benefit to the attacking qualities of players around him making use of space created. I thought Pukki and Hernandez had better chance to score than Idah’s attempt under pressure from defender.

Smith shouldn't have said it. But he's not wrong.

Booing the players after 15 minutes for passing it around the back (which was the only way we actually created space to set Max or Sam on an attack) must make it near impossible for the players.

But with the fans having that mindset he has to go. There's not really a workable alternative.

It was the lack of a third option in between defence and centre field I found exasperating. Gibbs seemed to fill this space at times in the second half.

    Yes but no.

I've been confident before under Farke and the prem seasons didn't turn out to be that great, under Smith I fear it will be even worse, but you never know... got to get there first.

If we do get promoted I feel with Smith and Shakey in charge we will have a better chance of survival with current squad plus some midfield muscle. Tin hat on👍

Was chatting to a young lady from Birmingham before the game and her thoughts on the WBA team and their playing style was pretty much identical to ours about Norwich.

She was adamant they would lose so she'll be happy with the point I'm guessing.

She'd have been easy to spot from the Barclay, big tall young lady with silver hair. Lovely to chat to.

I too was chatting to a West Brom fan after the game, he was distinctive as well with  3” WBA letters in yellow and green centre stage on the forehead.
I would guess he was well into double figures on fluid intake and the only points he raised that I could understand due to accent and alcohol was:-

”Bruce has lost the dressing room”🤭 and

    ”Our keepers ****e”

I told home I thought they were 2 players short of a very good team and wished him well.

Just goes to show how well Delia and Michael, and Stuart Webber, have done, to establish us as an elite club in this league, doesn't it? At least that's something we can all agree on...

……let’s not forget the Season Ticket holders who stick with the club and form a solid financial base of support on which to grow from.

  7. The reality is that some managers are charismatic and others show their personalities and character  on the pitch. Smith is a straight bat “minimum is best “ type of dull media person.
What we are starting to see on the pitch however is an emerging style that comes from coaching and good management.

Sargent is the prime example. His movement around the pitch and timing his runs has greatly improved. His ability to put in a extra half a yard stride before scoring in the last games comes from confidence. Who gave him that confidence? The coaching staff.? He gone from bambi on ice at times in first season to a Harry Kane clone because the last two goals are exactly the type of goal HK would have scored.

    Well done all👏

I haven't seen anything improve since Farke left in all honesty and all the main issues were still very clearly on display again today. Yes we've got Hayden and Sara to come in but clearly the system as a whole doesn't work.

I've not seen Smith stamp anything on this squad whatsoever. Farke came in and made it clear we were doing things a certain way. Alex Neil did similar. Smith seems to just let them do what they want and sadly they don't seem to know what they're doing.

Cantwell is player who seems to be rejuvenated close season. I’m going to put that down to the management team and Todd himself. If SAS can lift others in the group then you have a good base for the season. Glass half full for me and ready for a top up🍻
