1. Our chief exec said that they will STAY in their current roles as part of a LARGER coaching team. Now bugger off, you''re boring. If you get them, well done, but you''ll have to pay. If you''re such a big team, stop trying to do things on the cheap.
2. Rolling contract definition: A contract that continues until an agreed period of notice (amount of time before you are told that you no longer have a job), rather than until a particular date. May 2011: http://www.canaries.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~2366905,00.html "I''m delighted everything has been sorted for the three of us..." Lambert on the new deals, therefore they ALL signed new contracts. Widely said that these were ROLLING contracts. Therefore the argument that Villa can wait til they run out is irrelevant.
3. John Ruddy ‏@Johnruddy86 Very much looking forward to working with Chris Hughton & his staff, heard nothing but good things. Can’t wait to get started.
4. "THE Club can confirm that it will be holding a press conference at Carrow Road at 2.30pm today. There will be no further comment at this stage." From the website, they''re keeping quiet to the very last!
5.
i hope that sand pit is still outside the club on the first game of the season... i''ll bring my bucket and spade and buy you all an ice cream!
I like your thinking!
6. Remember Colchester were in League 1 and we were in the Championship. We''re both Premiership sides in this instance.
7. Won''t do either, we''re Norwich City fans and will be focussed on that to be honest. He''s done a great job, I appreciate it. I don''t think he''ll get a terribly bad reception, he will get the ''Lambert what''s the score?'' stuff if we''re winning though.
8.
I''m waiting for someone to say they''re a "sleeping giant"
I think they''re more in a coma than sleeping...
9.
I''m waiting for someone to say they''re a "sleeping giant"
I think they''re more in a coma than sleeping...
10.
I don''t think there''s much here that he would want going forward. We''re a relegated team next season and I''m pretty sure Lambert knew that before he left.
Heavens, by all means don''t sit on the fence.
11. What makes me laugh is the insistence they''re such a huge club when they''re trying to do things so cheaply!!! Doesn''t set a big club appearance.
12. Every Norwich fan''s favourite journalist James Nursey is on apparently.
13. The dust settled and everything, I feel calmer to it all now. I want him to do well but not Villa, as they''ve annoyed me in their approach and what not. How that works I don''t know! Either way he was brilliant for us.
14. Deary me people are tetchy. Made a bit of a mistake to say it out in public, but people jump on any sort of bandwagon nowadays.
15. Watch out #LambertsLions....here come #HughtonsHunters to turn you into ornamental rugs #NCFC #OTBC #AVFC Love this from twitter haha.
16. Ah okay cheers for clearing that up! Don''t really have a clue myself!
17. https://twitter.com/#!/MadMarcT Parody Marc Tierney, comes out with a few crackers every so often. Some brilliant memes on there as well.
18. They signed that in May last year, so technically the new one has started now I believe?
19.
Am I right in thinking Nursey is someone who would know.
To be fair he was always saying Lambert fancied Villa job.
20. Ruddy has a young lad settled, family up and running, he was born in St Ives. He knows he''s likely to be number 1 here for the foreseeable future, Hughton would be a good appointment, I''m fairly relaxed with this one.
21. Do you think it''s pretty near done and dusted now? Announcement today? Tomorrow? I mean with Lambert we just had the press conference...
22. I''m not fussed what happens with Holt anymore. Dragged on for too long, agent doing his best for an Oscar on the Radio... Poor timing and what not, done a hell of a lot for us but what happens, happens!
23. We were struggling last few months, few good performances, overall it wasn''t much fun really, was it? Perhaps the ''Lambert Effect'' was wearing off? New manager, fresh ideas, fresh impetus, onwards and upwards!
24. Randy Lerner holding Lambert''s nearest and dearest on his private jet?
