1. ......Leicester then. They were absolutly shocking. Portsmouth should have been in double figures playing against a defence as bad as that. Pompey fans as ever full of song, great fans.Seen them at Highbury on a couple of occassions and they were always a great bunch. they even adopted Henry. Feeling good about tomorrows match and looking forward to it, should be a bigger crowd.
2. 8th it is. Still....above Leeds now. Back on the wagon Saturday.....hopefully
3. On the bright side, if everything stays as is in all games we are still 7th
4. And a couple of changes at last, Jacko and SH Come on boys Yes 2-1
5. Don''t forget the ''Colin'' chants to Mr Wanock whilst you are there. Ta
6. cheers chaps, For one, I didn''t realize the pitch had a slight slope to the River End and yes the coming at ''em out of the sun in the first half does make sence. For me, my gut feeling is the River End, but then we do have the reputation of recent times of scoring late ones (away also of course). Hopefully someone will come out of the woodwork soon to confirm.   Ta
7. Does anyone have stats for which end we have scored more goals in over the past couple of seasons. Chatting about it yesterday and thought someone on here must know. Ta
8. .............. Jesus...I was only asking for a bit of advice. I don''t know if people still buy shirts et al. Man alive!...................... I know what you mean mate. I have only started one thread on here and was given a real hard time. Its not the friendliest of places to say the least and there are some very odd individuals on here. I just tend to read now and not really bother to add my view, for not wanting to rattle the yocals. Best of luck on what ever you do to earn an extra quid in these very tough times
9. I would speak to the club''s press/PR. It''s a great tale and worthy of a mention. They certainly should make it a special visit for you. Enjoy NY.
10. I have had a love/hate relationship with him all his career and after his 5live show lovin him again. Funny enough laying in the bath listening to him now. 90 mins and now on the radio, a gent. Cracking listen that Cloughy made them get of the coach and walk the last 200m to the ground though the Leeds fans. Chip off the ole block one thinks. In answer......yes would be great to have him
11.
With that haircut, Wes looks about 12.
My 7yo son called out to him when he came out to warm down last Saturday. Like a true gent he came over for a chat and a picture and yes he us hanging onto his youthful looks. Funny thing is my son put his arm around Wes''s neck and after the shot we walked out the ground with his arm out stretched saying ''that''s Wesley''s sweat and I''m not washing it''... Kids.... Anyway if we don''t win the league we should get the award for the best looking midfield now. Ta
12. Over opto???? IMO, no. I have been watching city for many many years and these last two friendly''s they have looked very impressive, with posession, ball play and movement not seen in a long long time. Before the Newcastle game I was in the mid table finish camp. I can see 7 maybe 8 teams mixing it at the top this season and we will most certainly be one of those
13. Having watched the last two friendlys there is no doubt in my mind we are a better side than that which finished last season. If a team can look this good after such a short time gelling together, we have one enjoyable season ahead should they improve on the impressive unit they look already. The short ball passing and possession of the ilk of the Newcastle game in the main and periods against Everton is something we have not seen for along time. If this is the football we are going to play his season is there room for a big target man, or will Jacko or Jonno be favored?
14. I park on the Rouen Rd Pay and Display. When leaving I drive up the hill to Ber St, left to the end then straight over to City Rd, down long John Hill, left at the lights up to the martineau lane lights. This way you are hitting the traffic from the other way rather than queuing round county hall. Trust that makes sence and helps
15. For those who understood, thank you. For the others, my apologies for confusing you all. First post ''point'' was the laugh we are going to have as a family, and in hiensight I should not really have bothered to share. Enjoy the match today, I will with my son with my home fans and the wife (sometimes called affectionately wifey) wil no doubt have fun in the away section (Everton fans). .....well that was a nice journey into the wonderful world of the Pinkun forum.........
16. Although along time spent on here first post, so take it easy. Life long supporter and season ticket holder for last 5 years. Wifey''s been an Everton fan since day dot, although Norwich runs deep and attends most home matches with me and is a great supporter. Tomorrow though.........big split in the family. Wife, her brothers and nephews in wheel stealers section, me and 7yo son where we should be. Proud of my son as the other half of the family tried to bribe him to join them and he would have none of it. Let''s all hope of a repeat of last week, which was a very complete team performance, with the new bods looking the muts. Good season ahead me thinks
