  1. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/q/qpr/9370468.stm Even though he hasn''t played for WBA in a while, he will be a massive player this season, both literally and metaphorically.
  2. Away from home Lambert always seems to throw in some surprise players. So i don''t think it will be that straight forward.
  3. As much as Surman can now take on the Whitbread comedy role for never actually making it on to the pitch. I think that when he does come back from injury (which i do hope Lambert waits until he is 100% this time) he will be awesome and maybe the best player for us in the last third of the season. My reasoning for this is, in both the Ipswich and Leeds match which he played for 60 minutes in, he looked our most confident player going forwards for the whole season, he looked like he wanted to take it past players as opposed to pass it around. He also looks a very confident on the ball and has plenty of pace. I think with a couple of games, he will be able to link of with Chris and Wes really well. Unlike Lappin he will also be a that the opposing team really have to account for. If you look at when he was at Southampton he was one of their most creative players. However i believe him to be creative in a different way to Wes, he will create with the ball at his feet, where as Wes will create by passing, something which will be excellent together. So all in all i have very high hopes. Might even work out like getting a whole new signing.
  4. "And had Martin not smashed the ball home in the closing seconds against the Bluebirds there was a real risk that the drama created by doubts over their manager and an untimely early FA Cup exit could have begun to develop into more of a crisis." A good article but for that bit. I dont think there would have been any crisis, i think we would have accepted defeat from one of the best squads, on paper, in the league.
  5. If Norwich got him it would be the most un-lambert like signing ever. The oldest player he has signed so far has been 25?
  6. Good line up. Chris Martin breakout game, hat-trick.
  7. Fox is a better passer. Crofts is a better tackler. Thoughts?
  8. Or do you reckon we will still try to bring another person in? I know he said 3, but i presumed he meant 3 permanent signings, in which case, another 1 could be coming! Maybe a stricker? I hope not, love Chrissy.
  9. I think this shows how useful Chris Martin is, he does hit the target quite a lot which means he must set up plenty.
  10. It doesn''t matter who you believe it to be aimed at, if they here you singing that when on the bench it wont make them feel great! I am not a pansy, i just think singing rubbish like this is a bit unfair. I''m all for good horrible songs, just not ones that can lower the morale in the city ranks.
  11. We will easily fill it, but prices will need to be around teh £20 mark in the premier for the worse teams and where they are now for the better teams!
  12. I think you miss the point of my post. I do not believe its in all seriousness, still its meant as a dig at there subs. When our players on the side its just unfair to sing it.
  13. This is if anything a message to urge fans who sit in the Snake Pit and surrounding areas to stop singing the "thats why you''re a sub, you''re sh*t". I hate the fact that we are singing this for 2 reasons: 1. Why no praise our players or try and give them confidence instead of not watching the game, singing this rubbish. (its almost as bad as "we''re the snake pit" "we''re the barclay") 2. The first game it happened it was all light hearted and it still is really, but I think when Simeon is warming up and there are also a few Cardiff players there its is a bit unfair to sing it. I''m sure you will all have a go at me and say "its only light hearted", but despite that, it cannot make them feel great. Just shut up and sing good songs like "we f*cking love Grant Holt"
  14. Kind of true. But we don''t actually have that many chances. Think of more than a couple yesterday that should have been put away? We have a lot of possession and control the game, but never really have many chances to shoot.
  15. They said Surman and Ward are back in training before the Cardiff match. So i''m thinking this weekend or Palace (is that on 28th?). Definitely by the time milwall comes around.
  16. ... and we sign Elliott Bennett and keep Lansbury (until the end of the season). how does the Midfield line up? Suman, Hoolahan, Lansbury, Bennett, Crofts, Fox, Smith. 7 players who could easily get into a championship side. How would you say the midfield will line up? Will it not be very hard to keep all of those players interested and happy?
  17. He is playing a completely different role to last season. Last year we were able to just play it through the defence with ease so could afford to have chris and Holt up there with both moving and making chances. We now need more men closer to the ball to make chances. I will admit there have been a few occasions this year where he should have scored, but i still think he does enough at other times to be on the pitch. QPR Goal, set up by him. Close penalty, his good ball work. Foxs shot, his good work. Holts disallowed tap in, his excellent work to run through players then shoot.
