1. It has to be Ruddy''s save at Anfield in the dying minutes of the game, for me.
2.
Is it just me, or does he not seem too concerned by being mostly injured? I guess it''s a mental thing and he''s not allowed it to get on top of him.... I would be in pieces on twitter moaning and telling everyone how good i am really!! :)
When Vaughan got injured in pre-season, and then again on his return in which he suffered the knee injury, I got the the impression that he was devastated. This time however, I agree, he doesn''t seemed too concerned which I hope would suggest that it''s nothing serious and just a minor setback. Fingers crossed.
3. I actually like him, am I the only one? [^o)]
4. I can see the benefits of it but for me it''s a no. Should the day come that we re-name our stadium, well that will be a sad day indeed [:''(]
5. Vaughan has also started travelling with the squad, so I wouldn''t think he is too far away from a first team appearence.
6. In my opinion, there is no way we can blame the pitch for last night. At the end of the day, it was a mixture of wrong tactics and the majority of the team simply playing poor. Sunderland picked up on the fact that we were playing well below par and grew in confidence, we left it too late in the game to change things - as soon as we had some pace down the wings there was a marked improvement. I don''t think we can get away with playing Crofts on the right side of the diamond in this league and I also believe we missed Fox last night. I expect the players will be raring to go Saturday.
7.
Hello, QPR fan here. Few more points to add, but just wanted to highlight what my fellow fan said, that should Tony for whatever reason decide to pull out, the 2nd largest sharehsolder at the club is Lakshmi Mittal. He''s not bad I guess, £25billion to his name, give or take a couple of billion either way. Fernandes is planning a new training centre for us, as well as improving our youth setup. With regards to our proposed new stadium - yes we have a small fanbase now, but that will only grow as our exposure in Asia and the rest of the world grows. So why not plan for the future, Old Trafford wasn''t build as an 80k stadium originally. None of this tells me he is "in it for the short term". Air Asia certainly doesn''t need to use QPR to attract more business, if anything, its the other way around. Did we really buy out success? Last season I can think of a few teams who spent more then us. Our most expensive signing was Adel at £1mil! And looking at your team, did you bring them all through your youth team, or did you buy them from someone else...? I congratulate Norwich on a superb start to the season, although I don''t believe there is one poster on this site that thought you''d be in this position at the start of the season. I think we''ll just about survive this season and kick on from there. I hope you do too. Cheers
You''d be surprised!
8. Am I right in saying that loan deals in the Premier League also have to be completed by 11pm? If so, and we do sign Naughton, then I wonder if we have been working on a loan signing(s) behind the scenes too, or will we complete the season without any loans? Either way, signing Naughton sounds good to me! [:)]
9. A lot of reports saying Blackburn bid turned down, Norwich still interested.
10. Snodgrass handing in a transfer request is another big rumour doing the rounds; I''d love it if we signed him, but it just seems a little too good to be true, still, with our rise in the last few years, anything is possible.
11. Simon Thomas (NCFC fan, works for Sky Sports) just reported "Regarding Grant Holt & Rangers. From what I''ve been told there are ''talks'' taking place between the two clubs. #NCFC #TransferDeadlineDay"
12. Credit to those who made the trip today, could hear you loud and clear; bring on the next round! [<:o)]
13. Spot on City1st, we arn''t the same club as we were a few years ago, we are now sitting pretty in the Premeir League and driven by a manager who has built up a squad who show no fear, so how about we all adopt that same attitude. We were practically bottom of League 1 when Lambert took over - we ended up winning the league; people laughed at our recruitment policy in the Championship - we gained automatic promotion; we were written off before this season had started - we''re closer to a place in Europe than a relegation spot. Lets not doubt our ability to sustain a good league campaign as well as a cup run, we''re more than capable, we''re winners.
14.
Some Sun Journalist on Twitter says the deal will be completed tomorrow..
As has someone who works for the Yorkshire Evening Post by the looks of it, although he may well just be repeating what the Sun journalist has said, of course. Fingers crossed anyway.
15. Take this as a pinch of salt if you wish, as I''m only repeating what I''ve read on Twitter but in the last half hour there are a few Leeds fans all saying that the Howson deal is done and will be officially announced tomorrow.
16.

"Leeds boss Simon Grayson has dismissed talk Robert Snodgrass could be about to follow Jonny Howson to Norwich this month." However, I thought this comment was quite telling from Grayson [referring to our failed bid in the summer] -"We turned down a bid from Norwich and both parties agreed then that we would leave it until it suits us both." Possibly suggesting that even in the summer, Grayson thought Snodgrass would not remain at Leeds for too long but more importantly that also we are prepared to wait to get him, regardless of how long it takes. Summer target?   http://www.eatsleepsport.com/norwich-city/leeds-deny-snodgrass-move-talk-1371583.html#.Tx1QEKVzpMg
With respect Alysha, I think you''ve assumed that the two parties are Leeds and Norwich. I actually think he''s referring to Leeds and Snodgrass. Given that Snodgrass is contracted until summer 2013 I think he means that neither side was under any real pressure to agree a new contract as there was still two years (at that point) on his existing one. Of course, I could be wrong...
That''s how I read it also - I guess both Leeds and Snodgrass wanted to see which league they would be playing in next year before commiting to new deals.   To be honest I''m not so fussed about Snodgrass, especially as we are now getting Howson. In Surman and Pilkington we already have two wide players without much pace, and Howson/Hoolahan will be going head-to-head for the attacking midfielder role. The Norwich midfield is starting to look a little over stocked at the moment, without additional players.
Just re-read it and unfortunately agree, I think that''s the most logical argument.

18. It seems like every game Sky picks for us to be televised is always at Carrow Road, except from the upcoming Sunderland game.
19. It could even be a possibility that we have got somone else in, maybe a loan signing after De Laet was sent back, and they are just waiting to announce the deals at the same time and just do one press conference, set of interviews etc. Wishful thinking, I know.
20. I bet we arn''t happy that this all went public, I hope he signs soon and that it doesn''t fall through due to the situation being highlighted to other clubs. From what I can make out from the Leeds fan''s comments, Howson can play CM but he often gets a lot of stick when playing there, his best position is behind the strikers by far, so real competition for Wes; wherever he plays though, I''m sure Lambert will bring out the best in him. Sounds like a good signing if it all goes through.
21.
He travelled down with the squad. Could just be a fitness thing, or Lambo felt that Russ M could do a job at centre-back if needed. Naughts switches to right-back, Drury comes on at the left. All about most useful player on the bench. But Naughton and Benny were both talking about playing monopoly with him on the way down. So he was there!
This, it seemed very logical to me that Barnett wasn''t on the bench.
22.
Without trying to stir, the telling thing was when a reporter asked him if any of the youth players might make the grade in the next 2 years. Lambert said something along the lines of ''that''ll make it 5 years here...that''s unheard of in the modern game''. I think he''ll leave at the end of the season.
I must admit, I don''t usually buy into "Lambert said...." or looked frustrated therefore I reckon he will leave soon, but after seeing that interview when the journalist asked an innocent question about how some youth players may break into the squad in a couple of years and with Lambert then replying along the lines of ''2 years? That''ll make it 5 here then...that''s unheard of'' - I think that''s the biggest indication we have had yet that Lambert himself predicts he won''t be here in the not too distant future; I also thought it was an odd way to answer the question, there was no need for that to be said. Still, lets enjoy him whilst he''s here.
23.
not that I think last minute transfer deadline day signings are Lamberts style but not having a game now on January 31st might make it easier if we did need to get involved in any of that ??
I must admit when I first saw that we played on the 31st of Jan, it did seem a little odd that whilst some clubs would be pulling off last minute deals, our manager would be preparing for a game up in Sunderland; but then again, would Lambert have to be present or could McNally just have stayed in Norwich? Not that I thought we would be doing business on the last day anyway.
