  1. Sargent was injured after about 30 minutes, I was surprised he came out in the second half but I guess they hoped he could 'run it off'. To be honest, he's not looked 100% right since he came back but he's so important to the team that I can see why Wagner is trying to squeeze as much out of him as he can.
  2. You'd like to think winning 6 out of the remaining 7 home games plus a couple away ought to be enough.
  3. If I had to use one word to describe last night it would be 'lucky'. After the second goal went in I honestly thought it could be 4 or 5 as Watford were that bad and City had total control, a defensive error let them back in the game just before half time and after the break it was all Watford. The enforced subs meant a change of formation and when the equaliser came I thought City would be lucky to get a draw, Sara was about to be subbed before he scored as Wagner intended to protect a point but the goal killed Watford and the last 15 minutes were a breeze.
  4. The majority of the negative comments are simply borne out of frustration, 2-1 up and in control Wagner completely changes the shape of the side which let QPR back into it.
  5. A West Brom win would effectively see them 8 points ahead, a draw is the best outcome.
  6. The French state pension system is very complicated, depending on your job and when you started work your pension can kick in from age 50 onwards. Last year the pension starting age for most industry sectors was increased but the latest age (67) remained the same. How powerful your union is within each sector also has a big effect, someone working in a train ticket office can retire at 57 whereas an ordinary office worker or a shop worker will have to wait until 67.
  7. This is the perfect opportunity for Idah to get a run of games as a starter in a less competitive league, if things don't work out then the club have a decision to make in the summer.
  8. Really, he's only just started at Aberdeen.
  9. Several good performances yesterday, Sainz for his goal and being a constant threat, McLean for his consistency in driving the team forward, Gunn for making crucial saves, Sargent for scoring and lasting 90 minutes and finally Barnes for reminding us why he was bought. On the flip side Fassnacht was anonymous and offers very little, Giannoulis should never start ahead of McCallum and Sara is currently a shadow of the player we know he is.
  10. Can't really afford to lose any home games from now and with Rowe missing it's going to be difficult, a draw wouldn't be a disaster.
  11. Not a complete embarrassment but still looked like a training exercise for Liverpool. Today was the perfect reminder of what awaits in the PL most weeks, can't believe fans really want that.
  12. Seems Leicester are willing to let Dewsbury-Hall go for £30 million, very odd to sell your top scorer when you're nailed on for promotion.
  13. Too lightweight for me and hasn't got the strength of Hernandez who is capable of playing on either wing as well.
  14. It's not quite as simple as that. Pretty much all of the older players at Leeds went out on loan or were sold between the end of last season and Farke taking over in July so he had no choice other than to play the younger players that were left.
  15. I don't think they did too much wrong last night, basic errors for the goal and Sainz, Rowe and Sara simply weren't on it.
  16. Exactly, Archie Gray is a 'once in a generation' talent, you don't get asked to train with the first team at 15 unless you are exceptional.
  17. City took the game to Leeds for an hour at CR which clearly worked, there is no reason why they can't do the same again tonight but that does require a different game plan to the one Wagner has been using recently. I expect the same starting XI although Sainz was limping when he came off on Saturday.
  18. Lack of squad depth has caught up with them, can see them ending up fourth.
  19. I would have said goal difference will be very important this season given how tight the race is for 5th and 6th.
  20. It was a much better performance and they played decent football at times but yet again the away side had more possession and more shots on goal, luckily, West Brom failed to take their chances so it was a comfortable win in the end.
  21. The crowd was announced as 25800 but it was clearly less than that, the strip of away seats in Block G next to Block H in the South Stand was barely a quarter full and there were visible empty seats all around the ground.
  22. I don't expect any additions other than maybe a central midfielder on loan, the only likely movements will be a further shifting of the younger prospects to get game time.
  23. Lose and W Brom will effectively be 11 points ahead meaning 6th place is realistically the only one to aim for. Whilst they're not brilliant away from home they don't conceded too many so it's going to be tough to break them down, I'll go for a draw.
  24. The away section is split in two (upper and lower) with the upper bit holding 1500+ being offered first, if this isn't likely to be full Leeds sell the lower section to home fans.
  25. To stand any chance of the play-offs City will have to improve their home form given that they're so poor away so Saturday is a 'must win', the FA Cup is an irrelevance and a draw at Elland Road would be a good result.
