  1. I'm guessing much will depend on whether City get promoted or not as he would struggle in the PL.
  2. Why should the majority of non-smokers pay to treat the few that continue to smoke? Unlike alcohol, even moderate consumption of tobacco products will damage your long term health.
  3. I'd take a point all day long, one more to the play-off target and it keeps Preston at arms length.
  4. If I was a Leicester fan I'd be very concerned for the immediate future, should they go up they face a big points deduction but remaining in the Championship will also mean a similar punishment. In addition, the squad is ageing and requires rebuilding wherever they end up next season.
  5. Leicester's form over the last ten games or so has been awful (13 points from 39), either their confidence is shot or teams have worked them out.
  6. Same again for me and I wouldn't even risk Rowe as he'd be miles behind in terms of match fitness.
  7. Tuesday's result makes Preston a 'must not lose', on paper Swansea and Bristol City at home should be 6 points but the latter have just taken 10 from 12 without conceding so that's not going to be easy. That just leaves Brum away and I wouldn't want to go there knowing only a win will guarantee a play-off place.
  8. Last night highlighted once again just how thin the squad is, Rowe can't come back quick enough as he will be the only additional attacking option available before the end of the season.
  9. The away form suggests City would need some sort of lead going into the second leg.
  10. Everton are appealing and the appeal won't be sorted until after the end of the season, in addition, they might face a further points deduction in relation to interest costs for their new stadium but that won't even be looked at for months with any points deduction made next season. The whole thing is bonkers, Everton knew what they were doing but assumed they'd just get a big fine and a slap on the wrist.
  11. EFL rules state an allocation of 2000 or 10% of the capacity if it is under 20K so it will be the same as for the league game.
  12. Great atmosphere, good performances across the team and Ipswich made to look ordinary.
  13. Probably the hardest game of the season to predict, I don’t think either side would mind a draw so that’s what I’m going for - 1-1.
  14. Can't see anything other than another easy home win - 3-0.
  15. Not too injured as he gave Chile the lead against France.
  16. This resolution should have been made a long time ago and it's only happened now because Biden has suddenly twigged that it might help his election chances.
  17. Way too early to get worried, let's see what the club say next week.
  18. If the mob down the road are now worth over £200 million how much should MA pay for City? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68639682
  19. I think Ipswich will finish no lower than 3rd so a play-off semi is far the most likely, losing to them at Wembley is the stuff of nightmares and they would never stop bragging about.
  20. An away game that cries out for an easy win but City are crap on the road so it will be close - 2-1 to cement 6th place.
  21. There's been a shift in the conversation since Christmas, no one mentions getting rid of Wagner any more it's all about what happens if they go up. My take on Burnley is that Kompany has done major 're-builds' at the start of the last two seasons and this one has simply failed.
  22. Looking at the Home and Away tables highlights just how bad the away form has been with less than a point a game so far and is on course to be a lot worse than last season.
  23. For once I got the prediction spot on and at half time wished I'd said '6 or 7' because Rotherham were that bad, the subs killed the game so in reality it was only a contest for 60 minutes and you couldn't blame people for streaming out well before the end. Three more points, the GD was boosted and no one was injured so in many ways it it was good afternoon but I did leave feeling that having the boy Sydney and an untried youngster as the only attacking options is a concern with tougher games coming up.
  24. 15/16 points needed to be certain but I think both Hull and Coventry will struggle to get beyond 70 with the games they've got left.
