  1. We spoke to the policeman who moved them and that''s what he told us, it''s also what he radioed through to whereever it is they radio, please don''t insinuate I''m lying it''s rather rude
  2. The dozenn who were moved early on were moved to another part of the stand followin "complaints from Norwich fans"
  3. His son looked 12-14 was howling at a steward, i think eventually they took him out to his dad
  4. Nothing happened, he was getting abuse from the PNE lot, he gave a bit back and was removed, he wasn''t warned just taken out leaving his son crying in the stand alone
  5. Corr the corners were good, I don''t know how one didn''t go in Barnett could have had a hatrick
  6. Ruddy 8 Made some good save but his distribution was immense especially the quick long throws Defence all 7/8, Drury can take real credit as he improved on Tues, they threw a lot at him and he was fine also bombed forward Wes 9 He was excellent today not just the normal skill and pace but the tracking and tackling today was most pleasing Crofts 8 early runner for PoS he runs midfield and made Rusty look a mere boy Smith 7 Solid Lappin 10 Faultless display his tackling and crossing were out of this world Holt 8 He is unfit but he was miles better than on Tues he chased and took his goal well, he was unlucky when chasing down the keeper and hopefully the kock that forced him off won''t be too serious Martin 7 was solid without shining Gill not enough time Jackson not enough time but is showing some flair that we paid the money for
  7. The tackle he did in the first half that saw him require treatment was exactly what we need! Best game I''ve ever seen him have 10/10
  8. Just back from the game, Lambo fixed the issues from Tuesday - close the post he can return to being God!
  9. As long as the away end isn''t sold out you can buy tickets from the away ticket office (next to the away end) until kick off
  10. If you see me at a game you''d know who I am as I start many many chants and what''s more I chant when there''s only 2-3 of us to keep it going like at Donny, Scunny and Blackburn
  11. Depends on the Money situation, Clinton and Mellow at Wednesday look quite good, Caleb Folan or looking lower Michael Rankine from York
  12. Interesting read Boyo, Personally I think you have a case but it''s early days re the trinity. Hoolahan can skin players all over the shop but his final ball is lacking so far Surman has sorted this for him, Holt is still unfit so we can''t judge him too harshly he was poor last night and Martin I agree has been the best of the 3 so far, he just looks sharper and could be a very important player for us. I did wonder last season about accomodating Hoolahan in the free role would cost us against stronger midfielders and to an extent that has been the case but I''m confident we will adapt. Standard''s verdict - Give the trinity another month they''ll come good I''m sure
  13. Ok I was sat about 8 rows from the back and sing my heart out every game, there were 2 morph suit lads and me singing Y''army constantly. Noise always builds from the back it''s hard to hear people singing in front of you due to simple physics, they were singing though. As for sitting down, I broke my leg badly 2 months ago standing hurts, also I''m 6'' 4" people behind would not be happy, you can still make noise sitting down sometimes it''s about common sense
  14. I like King of Spain, he does indeed try every game, having said that I would like to see what Hughes can do in this league. Last season he was outmuscled but showed glimpses of class, I said last season he looks a Championship player but wrong for League 1. It''s nice to have all these options in midfield
  15. Ruddy - 7 Spilled for the second goal but kept us in the game Drury - 5 Played better in the second half but was left exposed and caught in no mans too often Ward 6 - Wasteful but solid enough Barnett - 5 At fault for the second goal and dithered to often, did make one exceptional tackle but he wouldn''t have had to make it had he not been stood appealing offside Martin - 6 Pleased he was in the position to score, went forward more, but wasn''t solid enough at the back Crofts 8 MOM - He was doing the work of 2 players for me, chasing around here there and everywhere, he was left exposed but always chased. Smith - 6 looked shattered from the start, kept tryng but just couldn''t get into the game as much as we''d have liked. Hooly - 7 took Roverw'' midfield apart but without Laps or Surman in support to deliver a quality ball it was largely wasted Mac 6 - Looked ok didn''t take on the full back enough for me, waited for Drury or Martin in support Martin 7 - Looked passionate and commited, Holt 4 (bold i know) - He looks unfit, which he probably is given his preseason, but he was static for large parts of the game, Donny defenders didn''t control a number of times and a fully fit Holt would have nicked the ball off them. He was also more bothered about arguing with a defender following a nothing tackle than getting into the bos with Wes on the ball. Also tossing the armband on the floor and tramping off when he was subbed wasn''t great though that was possibly frustration with his performance or being subbed. Hughes - Not enough time but could be the answer with Surman out, he is suited more to the Championship than League 1 Jackson - Ran about a lot and showed some good touches, he looks like he could be getting his match fitness together
  16. The fact that my criticism of Lambert follows a defeat is irrelevent, the starting tactics last night were poor as was the selection, I said it at the time, I''m sorry I wasn''t at home and able to post it on here and as such had to wait until after the game. This is also the first time that I have had a go at anything Lambert has done, last night he got it wrong on a number of things, it''s not the end of the world but like the good decisions should be pointed out - he''s not perfect
  17. Drury first haf was eft exposed I thought Donny should have attacked him more, Crofts MOM for me
  18. Having only seen the lineup when I got to the ground I was looking forward to it I thought 4-4-2 could work, diamond to flat 4-4-2 if we need to, 4-5-1 with Chris M on the left was just wrong. I like the look of 4-5-1 with Mac and Wes but then play 3 midfielders to boss it. Holt and SMith cannot have looked razor sharp in training, it''s not about hindsight it''s common sense
  19. Just got back and this thread is right for the first time in a year PL did get it wrong and got it wrong badly. The formation and selection was suspect. Holt is not fit 2 games is 4 days is a stretch for him right now, coming on for the last 20 could have squng the game for us. Korey looked cream crackered which following Sat is understandable. Martin on the Left wing? Yes it''s one game etc etc but right now that doesn''t help
  20. It was awful, the season before was better even if only 300 made it, we won 3-1 in the bitter cold and Dion absolutley nailed their keeper but got away with a yellow
  21. I''ve got my tickets, there''s about 8 of us heading up
  22. From Yorkshire but now live in Derbyshire so I shall be heading up the M1 [:(]
  23. I''ve driven a few times to Deepdale so hopefully I can help: If you get there early enough you can park in the park. Opposite their mainstand (the one thats been there more than a year) there''s a big park with an access road that you can park along, used by home and away alike never had problems parkign there. If you''re a little later and come down the A5085 (the main road as you approach from the Motorway) there''s a fire station and primary school on the right that was quite reasonable last time I drove (think it was £4 but don''t quote me) these are around 5-10 minutes from the ground.   The Garisson pub is also the away pub for those interested, get to the crossroads where the Sainsburys is and head up the road directly from the ground for 5 minutes
  24. Without polluting my history with the scum''s webstie I don''t know who they''ve played apart from a poor Bristol City. We have played a fit Watford (who have no depth but a very good first XI) Scunthorpe (should be beating if we have aspirations to be anything other than relegation candidates) Swasea (best passing side in the league) Forest (are a quality side even if they didn''t show it) and Barnsley (had a good season last time round but again we should be looking to pick up 3 points) We''ve had a good set of opening fixtures and done well with the Forest and Swansea results being the most pleasing, it bodes for a successful (mid table) finish.   As for Holt, unfit from preseason and looks to be carrying a little weight <insert driving ban joke here>
  25. I agree, I don''t think Holt is fully fit yet, he''ll get there, if he and Chris can get 15 goals each we''ll do fine. The only dissappointing miss from Holt for me was the chance at Forest, he just needs ti regain some fitness and he''ll knock some in starting tonight where I fancy him for goal.
