1. He was obviously a decent player before he joined Norwich. Problem was that when he joined us he was at the end of his career and clearly couldn''t think or move as fast he once did. I saw him play in his first match for us at Coventry on the opening day of the season 2008/09 and I winced when he scythed down one of their forwards just outside our area. How he wasn''t sent off God only knows. Then not so long after I was at Southampton when he did the same but this time the foul was deemed to be inside the area and a penalty/given away in a match we deserved to win and blew it. No doubt he was still commanding defending high balls coming into the area but IMO he was more of a liability than an asset.
 2.
I thought you liked to ignore trolls Morty :P
But Morty is the Troll Meister. Trouble is that he trolls on here so often (all the time it seems) it''s impossible to ignore him. I visit this MB from time to time, sometimes with intervals of several weeks, but it''s guaranteed that whenever I do thre''s good old Morty trolling away and getting up someone or other''s nose. Wouldn''t be the same without Morty, King of Trolls.
 3.
He''s won 66% of games he''s managed, considerably more than any other manager in our history, got us promotion at the very 1st attempt and its looking like a possibility he could make it back to back promotions, he''s never lost 2 games in a row, he''s got us playing some pretty attractive football.
Blimey, you''re getting a bit ahead of yourself mate. Far too early to be asking a question like this.
 4. Saw him play at Bristol Rovers, looked poised, calm, in control and gave good distribution. Hasn''t really had a chance under Lambert, understandably, but perhaps he is a bit lightweight physically to hold his own in the Championship so maybe his level is League 1
 5.

Yep, I use Bogbrush and Bogbrush 1 as sign-offs from different computers at work, problem with that ? Have a good weekend Mr B. Don''t spend too much time on here because if you puff out your chest too much you might just burst and that would probably be very messy.
Yes, I have a problem with it. I''m still waiting about Andy Murray''s "rabid anti-English" behaviour. How''s finding the evidence coming along?
When did I say Andy Murray''s rabid anti-English behaviour ? Better check with your pal the MB Archive Meister. As it happens, I do think Murray is anti-English although he hides it now of course.
 6. Yes Beaustful, I read that at the time, thought it apt and used something similar. What exactly is your problem ? Perhaps being told not to puff out your chest so much is a bit too close to home, you do seem to be making such a fuss about it. And if a poster wants to change his nom de plume from time to time why do you take issue with that, why is that a problem for you ? As long as the views are consistent what''s the problem ? As for calling me a troll, well that''s upto you, it''s easy to hurl insults but "sticks and stones etc". As I said previously, one of your sidekicks called me an amateur troll and as this suggests part-time, it''s accurate. Like I said, better to be an amateur troll than a full-time professional like you seem to be, tracking back through posts, analysing posters'' use of English, searching for similarities. Jeez that seems just a bit obsessive. I live far from Norwich and I visit the PinkUn website only occasionally when I have time, to stay in touch with my club and the fans. Which is why it has taken me so long to respond and I shall leave it at that.
 7.

Presumably this is a dig by you at Lambert and the Colchester situation. I still do not know enough about that situation to judge but Lambert has subsequently proved his integrity on a number of occaisions to my satisfaction. You are entitled to your opinion but I do not share it. I do respect Atkins though
I am sorry that you think that. I just re-read my post and can''t see what it was I said that made you think I was alluding to Lambert''s move from Colchester to Norwich and made you spring to Lambert''s defence. As far as that situation is concerned, all I know is that Norwich were heavily fined and paid hefty compensation to Col Utd. I suppose you have to draw whatever logical conclusions you can from that. Whatever, suffice to say that I found the attitude of Nigel Adkins really refreshing, surely you have to admire his honour and integrity ?
I suspect it was your many anti Lambert posts under your other usernames of Lord Snooty, Bob Franklin and Alf Tupper. You really must think we''re all incredibly thick if you don''t realise that you''ve been well and truly rumbled.
Eh ? What on earth are you talking about ? And what was wrong or anti-Lambert about my original post ? For that matter, do please show me any post that I have made that is anti-Lambert. At a time when sport is riddled with cheats, fraud and £6m saIaries, I found it refreshing that a relatively unknown manager when offered the chance of joining one of the wealthiest clubs in the country stood up for honour, honesty and integrity. However, you, not me, turned this thread into a rather, nasty, unpleasant rant. Nothing new there then. Yep, I use Bogbrush and Bogbrush 1 as sign-offs from different computers at work, problem with that ? Have a good weekend Mr B. Don''t spend too much time on here because if you puff out your chest too much you might just burst and that would probably be very messy.

 9. Good to hear that there are some honourable people still in the game : "Southampton withdraw offer for Nigel Adkins to be boss Adkins joined Scunthorpe as a physio in 1996 Southampton have withdrawn their offer to Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins to become their new manager, according to Iron chairman Steve Wharton. Adkins and assistant Andy Crosby were expected to join Saints but refused to leave until a compensation package was agreed by the two clubs. " Warton said: "They gave him an ultimatum to resign from his position as Scunthorpe United manager. "He was not prepared to do that until a compensation package had been agreed."
 10.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz
I second this.
Me, too, most intelligent utterance from Morty ever...... probably.
 11.
Jesus, this thread is attracting all the amateur trolls.
Mmm, which is better ? An amateur troll or a professional troll ? You''ve let yourself down yet again Morty. You really must try harder to be "properly obnoxious". Beausy does it with ease, take a leaf out of his book, although you seem to be doing that already.
 12.

Bell end.
Fuck off morty, you unpleasant moronic yob[;)]
Many a true word etc etc. Good old Morty, never lets you down. He he
 13.
Ahhhhhh, the famous "Yeah, I was only joking" line when you realise after peoples comments that you said something really dumb.[:)]
Ha ha, that''s rich coming from you. Of course I was only joking, just a tongue in cheek Friday wind-up but with an underlying suggestion of credibility. Too easy to reel you in though so not very satisfying. A bit like stirring up a little nest of wasps through lack of something more interesting to do.
 14.
And then we can get Bryan Gunn back [Y]
eh ? .....and again ....... reel ''em in as the saying goes.
 15.
Amazing supporters? Around 10,000 of them have stopped turning up since their relegation from the Premiership. Amazing supporters my ****.
...........errr.......just tongue in cheek....... reel ''em in as the saying goes.
 16. More or less this time last year it was Ricky Lambert but this time around it could easily be ILWT. After all, the Southampton MD is determined to win promotion this season so who better than the Manager who steered Norwich to a comfortable League 1 title win last year. And of course being quoted now as the 4th richest club in the UK, Southampton have the financial muscle to offer ILWT a much more lucrative pay package than NCFC, pay NCFC compensation and make available to Lambo a very sizable transfer budget with the Premiership within a few years a viable and attractive objective. So, it wouldn''t surprise me at all to see Lambo at St Mary''s with a red and white scarf around his neck going on about how massive a club Southampton FC is and how amazing the supporters are. I hope not of course but stranger things have happened.
 17.
How long till he once again comes out and starts moaning about how he wassnt given a chance and how if he was given one he would have scored more goals
I expect you are one of the Lambert = All Good but Gunn, Cureton = All Bad brigade on here. Roeder f*****d Cureton up, even playing him as a lone striker with balls being "up and undered" to him. With the right partner up front (Iwelumo, Akinbiyi, Roberts) Curo was an excellent striker and a frequent scorer. hence the Golden Boot at Colchester a few season ago in the Championship. For my part, I wish him all the best at Exeter. There is no reason for any Norwich supporter to slate him or moan about him as so many have done on here over the last year or so.
