Attention seeker Know it alls The panickers Those that read every single news article and believe it as gospel Those who claim insider knowledge but actually know nothing Those that write players and managers off before they even start The foreign manager experts who are experts in managers who not one of us actually knows anything about I appreciate this is a discussion forum but my god how bad has it been recently. Why don't we wait until someone has been appointed, give him a chance to see if he can turn around the seemingly impossible before making sweeping statements. I used to think that this forum was bad for mental health, now it just makes me chuckle π

Frank Lampard NEVER OFFERED the job
Rich T The Biscuit replied to hogesar's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Of course he is. Has no ability or bottle for a relegation fight and let's be honest he won't have to do that in a league of 2 teams. -
Is it wrong....

This needs a bump as it's getting hysterical and priceless now. So far we've gone from KK certain to get it to Lampard to Emma Hayes is the answer to lots of other various options who hardly anyone has heard of but would be perfect. Now it's everyone taking stories from Sky and Talksh1te as gospel. Somewhere there is someone reading the panic on here and having a laugh as they are causing it πππ -
Of course my final point is silly but I was making a point that basing a discussion around someone's record without having any context is just as silly. Let's also not forget the draw and contacts that managers have; ie ex players, relationships with ex managers etc. Emma Hayes hasn't got the contacts to add this value and neither would our friend in the Austrian league whoever he would be.

All well and good but you're missing 2 key elements. 1. The level of the football 2. The level of the players being coached I'm not saying any of this to be disrespectful to her or any female coach but stats alone tell you nothing. I could apply for the job because I manage a youth team that hasn't lost for 3 years and I'm a qualified coach so am I to be considered; of course not.

I thought someone on here said that Webber had signed a new rolling contract π€·π»ββοΈ -
Maybe we should look at this in a different as she wouldn't be the first coach to move from women's football to men's football (am I still allowed to state women's and men's). Anyway, ignoring the fact that she is female but looking at this from a record of achievement moving from one to the other. As far as I can see there have been 2 high profile managers leave the women's game for the men's; the first being Mark Sampson. He did a great job with the England ladies and you could argue that he had just as good a coaching record as Hayes, subsequent to being helped out of the women's game the best he could find was first team COACH at Stevenage Town, where he has subsequently left. Stevenage Town play in League 2. The other one would of course be Phil Neville, he got the managers job at Inter Miami and he is hardly excelling and is working for his mate Becks. Does this suggest that the transition from women's football to men's football is harder and is everyone jumping on the Emma Hayes bandwagon because its now fashionable π€·π»ββοΈ Yes she has won stuff with Chelsea and seems to know what she is talking about during her pundit slots; but neither of which make her some kind of outstanding candidate for the job. We might aswell go and get Sampson in if we want that transition or is the transition simply about a women managing a men's team π€ For the record I don't care either way but as per my comment the other day about KK, seems as though some of the experts of him and Norwegian football are now experts on Hayes and Chelsea women's.

Was about to say the same thing. Something serious wrong about the ability that Sky have to affect/fix the betting market by putting out such unbelievable nonsense. -

Another program I can't watch then, what one was it? π -
For me to get so many laughs out of reading posts on here and people on Twitter. The amount of in the know fans and who knew so many were experts on Norwegian football and our new manager, or maybe he's not, or maybe he is π Let's be honest, before Farke got fired none of us had ever heard of KK

Emi on the bench yet again!
Rich T The Biscuit replied to Bradwell canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I said that the time he was sold that it would be interesting to see how they use him and will he be allowed to roam free which is how we got the best from him. In their pre-season games he looked superb but they were lesser sides, in the PL they are often described as luxury players and in a rigid system he will get exposed. What will be interesting now is to see how he reacts and whether there will be some kind of 'fall out' with Smith. He clearly loves to play so being stuck on the bench is one to watch.... -
I think Cook could get the chop tonight
Rich T The Biscuit replied to Mullet's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Is this a post about Delia relinquishing control if we lose or the Cook at the road doing a splendid job at Poor Man Road?
