  1. Mine would be shooting....just introducing players to the goal and give them the chance to feel the joy deep within that comes from the ball hitting the back of that net! Hughton has obviously missed this!
  2. Just wondered if fans have been to any training sessions at Colney. I just wonder what the heck happens in training? What do they work on exactly?
  3. http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/red-bull-leipzig-profit-from-an-ultra-attacking-kick-off-to-score-after-seven-seconds-v-stuttgart-ii/
  4. Just been watching the Southampton v west ham highlights from yesterday...what highlights there were. Just noticed how when Rodriguez picks up the ball saints players are bombing into the box and immediately you have players hungry and wanting to get on the end of something. My observation is that this rarely happens with us. Leaving just RVW the only target. Maybe it''s the system, the tactics, the coaching. Again, just my observation.
  5. Some fans on here like to make the point....''look how far we have come in recent years'' and all that. Apparently we should be happy and be thankful. Lets remember we are not new to the premier league anymore. Therefore we should be going to away grounds with a little more belief. We are an established premier league team or should be. Did anyone else think that the players self belief looked non existent yesterday and when you see players on the pitch moaning at each other, that is borne out of frustration and could be beacuse of the tactics employed. We may well see cracks appearing if we haven''t already in the players morale....
  6. Great post sensible and well put together thoughts. No doubt some idiot on here will have a go for the mis spelling of the manager. I don''t care though I for one feel that many of the fans here on this forum including me will feel some sense of justification at Ruddys comments. Sounds like its not just a few negative fans apparently running this board but the players are coming out and saying things also.
  7. Someone has mistaken what I said in my opening comment, I am not blaming the players efforts at all I am against the majority of the tactics used by the manager. This in turn has led to what I feel players unable, by the coaching staff to play to their strengths by the tactics used, that is my opinion. I repeat my opening point that its the managers fault IN MY OPINION and his tactics not criticising the players work rate. As I mentioned this was also the OPINION of Grant HOlt. The tactics used affected his morale.
  8. Anyone else feel that the players appear unable to express themselves on the pitch other that Redmond? The ''go and express yourself lads'' philosophy that managers hold in some cases doesn''t appear to be in Hughtons remit rightly or wrongly. You have to be able to reign it in at times but there is no spark, no life and there needs to be an injection of something....that something is freshness something that in my opinion Hughton doesn''t allow for. Anyone else remember holts interview a few weeks back to McVeigh? He talked about the change in playing style was one of the reasons that contributed to him leaving.
  9. I think this is why Hughton has to go. It''s not just his tactics but he is holding players back from expressing themselves. RVW and Fer were brought into add quality and improve our squad yet have they done that yet? No! Beacuse of the tactics.
  10. Lets clear this up. It''s not that we lost to top teams that everyone is annoyed about its that we are set up to not even have a go at the top teams.
  11. Yep people post some rubbish. People are entitled to opinions whatever we think of them. I think our American friend has some points that are valid even if written in different ways that we may define as acceptable for this forum. We have been setting up defensively for a long time and don''t look like we know what to do when we are losing games. We could have gone 4-4-2 today or 4-4-3 when we were losing 2-0 what did we have to lose? Absolutely nothing. Lambert back at carrow road next week Big game!
  12. Yep easy on the criticism of our American guest! She is only given her observations over a period of time. Just like other people give there''s. I''d much rather read comments from a newbie fan then read some of the filthy language our supposed life long fans use. We all have different opinions some just need to tone it down.
  13. I think there are some good points from someone who is a newcomer to supporting the canaries. Hughton tried to defend when we could have brought on attackers to try and get something! At least the comments are constructed well and not one off stupid remarks.
  14. One of the main problems is our inconsistency, we lose a game and play poorly, the manager gets criticised on this forum. We will then go and scrape a 1-0 win and that will ease the fans negativity for a week. Then we will be back to our usual crap the week after. We need to put together an unbeaten run something that we struggle to do with the way we currently play.
  15. McNally likes to engage with fans a lot and no doubt, fans will be tweeting him about our performance today. All I know is he won''t be afraid to make a big decision regarding change.
  16. Amen to that post! Spot on! A change needs to be made but we have McNally who don''t take crap for too long!
  17. Why bring on tettey and howson when we need goals! What is Hughton playing at. The players don''t look like they know what to do when the ball is up at the right end of the pitch. Prime example being RVW taking too long. Not his fault, he must have just been so shocked that he found himself that far up the pitch. Another poor away game with no effective plan B. This isn''t the first time. My Newcastle utd season ticket holder friend says Hughton despite being unfairly sacked never had a plan B. Rant over.
  18. As Norwich city fans we have opinions that are very different to each others! When it comes to managers we also vary in our opinions! Are our views as whether we like managers or not based sometimes on our own favourite positions growing up?! For me I used to be an attacking winger and loved to be a part of an attacking team, this for me meant I loved lamberts football philosophy of let''s go for it in each game and play more attacking. I struggle to enjoy Hughtons style of play at times but I recognise I don''t really think too much about how much hard work has to go in on defending real well and therefore I probably don''t appreciate it as much. I''d be interested to know what positions other fans on here used to play on the football pitch? Maybe those who played in defensive positions appreciate the more defensive nature of Hughtons tactics.
  19. I wanted to just add some positivity to this board: Here are just 5 positives for us to remember as Norwich fans! 1. We are premier league! 2. We are a well run club now, gone are the Doncaster days we have a fantastic chief executive! 3. We are selling out every home game...just look at the team down at portman road. Can''t sell out, millions in debt and struggling! 4. We have quality throughout the squad in every position! 5. After the intentional break we will see Gary hooper hit the goal trail! OTBC!
  20. A lot of the negativity is justified on this board with many comments being very well put across. I think the reason for the negativity is not a lot has changed tactically and after all the excitement with the summer signings we expected more and i think the new signings expected more with how we were going to play. You only have to look at the comments by past and current players to see how Hughton is very defensive. Hughton seems intent on sticking to his rigid formations. What I am pleased about is that we have a chief executive who won''t take these poor performances for ever and will change manager if needed.
  21. I''ve just moved to Carlisle for work and living right by Carlisles ground. As far from Norwich as possible yet still in England. I think the fans that write on these forums who were at the games have every right to air their anger and frustrations. When they have spent a couple of hundred quid getting to hull, ticket prices etc. it''s a long way home to Norwich after seeing your beloved team not turn up even against ten men. Anger is justified and respect to them!
