1. Seems to be the only player in our team capable of playing a defense splitting through ball to our strikers. His short passing is also pretty competent for Premer league level now. If only he was a bit better on the ball he would be about as close to a complete midfielder as a club like ours could afford. Definitely in the running for POTS for me
2. If we sign him I will abandon my support for Norwich for good. Child rapist! I don''t give a fu(k about re habilitaion or how well he''s doing/changed what about the victim? I could tolerate King/Barton/Hughes (at least that was kind of an accident) but this would be too far! I seriously hope this is wrong and we were never in for him!
3. We always get a result against QPR, I can''t wait till we doom them to relegation tomorrow. The way that club (and Chelsea/City/Portsmouth etc) is run is everything that''s wrong with football and why so many people can''t afford to go to games anymore! Hopefully when a few more like them go down and go bust it will hopefully put these sugardaddy''s off for good when they finally realize buying success only works at the very highest level where the players are so good it doesn''t matter if they are unmotivated mercenaries. Thank fu(k for the tv money or well run clubs like us an Swansea would be completely unable to compete in this league!
4. If you argue that the SPL is roughly the same as lower championship level he''s got a better scoring record than Hooper this year! Hoopers 13 for the run away best team in the league who are constantly on the attack v Becchio''s 16 for an average mid table team. I know Hopper''s scored in the CL this year but Russel Martin''s scored 2 against Man City this year so it doesn''t count for too much. Personally I don''t think Hooper is worth any more than £5m at the most and that''s only because he plays for Celtic and if they were both the same age I''d choose Becchio over Hooper anyway. So yeah I''m dead pleased with this signing!
5. We all would GP but Adkins is actually a possibility Lambert isn''t!
6.
Why on earth would you want Adkins in? This is a manager who was sacked despite seemingly doing a good job. Doesn''t that tell you something? No, not Hughton out. We are still 7 points of relegation zone, we''ll still sign a couple players before the deadline, we''ll still stay up.
It''s next season under Hughton with this style of football that concerns me! If we had good management we wouldn''t need even more new players from what we signed in the summer to stay up.
7. For the first time I agree with Hughton out now, my biggest problem is how we stand off teams and just sit back to defend now instead of pressing and getting in teams faces which was brilliant to watch and got us results under Lambert. Adkins has a similar management style and would be perfect for us!
8.
To be quite honest, the result today doesn''t worry me too much. We''ve put out a second string side who haven''t played with each other for months, and many of whom haven''t played competitive football at all for that same period. Obviously as supposed premiership players they should be able to outperform a conference side regardless of ''match fitness'', but it''s not always as easy as that to go to these smaller clubs who are massively up for it.The worrying thing for me though is the general set up. Had we pressed, challenged for first and second balls, tried to string a few progressive and forward thinking passes together and most importantly hussled and hassled the opposition but just failed to put the ball in the net and lost to a fluke Luton counter, then so be it. But when we turn up, give a conference side too much time and space, don''t seem like we''re up for the physical challenge of winning first and second balls all too often and just generally don''t look very good going forward at all, then you have to start to wonder whether we''re going too negative. If we continue performing like this, we''ll go down without a whimper. I''m not saying go all out gung ho in Lambert style. But we need to start pressing, getting tighter, and looking like we''re up for the physical battle.
Spot on! Basically what I was trying to say
9. I do fear for our long term future under Hughton, the 10 game unbeaten run was a terrific achievement but we played very poorly against some awful sides in that run and were very lucky at times, that appeared to be our purple patch while the start of the season and now appears to be ''our level'' .I think we''ll survive this season, just, but we''re an awful team at the moment! Hughton hasn''t got a clue how to organise an attack, we don''t press anymore and just sit back and stand off teams all the time, it''s horrible to watch and it isn''t getting us the results either. Hughton to see us over the line and if we don''t improve at the end of the season then I''d like to see womeone else brought in!
10. They year we''ll go down is the year Hoolahan leaves/retires. Without him we have zero creativity, it''s been the same the last 3 years, we''re just not the same team without him.
11. Clearly that guy has no balls, if he wants to go to Wembly to see his team in a once in a lifetime event he should be able to no matter what some evil succubus says!
12. I haven''t been able to afford a season ticket for years and it''s not really the clubs fault. Blame Abramovic and all the rich billionaires who''ve come in and inflated the cost of everything so massively just to boost their own ego''s. What irritates me though is people can see how they''ve poisoned football, made progression about ownership change instead of management and astute signings yet people welcome them with open arms! Sky isn''t the problem, without Sky''s money we wouldn''t have a chance to compete with most clubs in the Prem. The fact is if our leagues we''re run more like the German leagues are where ownership is handled like this: http://pitchinvasion.net/blog/2010/03/11/fan-ownership-the-bundesliga-model/ Sky wouldn''t need to pay clubs such a stupid amount of money in TV deals because they wouldn''t need it and we''d all be paying £300 for season tickets and £25 casual tickets. It''s why I love seeing clubs like QPR fail, hopefully if it happens enough times it will put new mega rich owners off from poisoning the sport for good.
13. Pleeeease let this happen for us! He would suit us and our style of play perfectly, good age, proven goalscorer. He''s always looked quality whenever I''ve seen him.
14. Just one of those idiots who thinks because most of our players aren''t ''big names'' or signed from Man Utd reserves that they''re not prem quality. I bet you also think QPR''s team is full of ''prem quality'' and would still back them to stay up even if they were still on 0 points because you''ve heard of most of their players and they''re on high wages. The team had an off day on Saturday, it happens, it doesn''t mean we have a team full of championship and below players.
