1.
Probably not many more. Im with GP etc on this one - I hope I''m wrong but have a sneaking suspicion he''s no better than what we already have apart from an ability to run fast - unfortunately this doesnt count for a lot in football otherwise people would be trying to sign Usein Bolt
Mostly, if not completely disagree with your point on pace. The top two divisions in England are all about strong, quick players; especially in forward positions. British football is all about strength and pace - to an extent technical ability comes some way behind. I don''t think your average South American club academy would have wasted so much time on coaching someone like Agbonlahor, just on the pretext that he''s fast. You can''t really coach pace; you either have it or you don''t... But thoses are the contrasting styles and may go someway into explaining why England are fairly ordinary on the international stage...
 2.

We can''t rely on Cody as Plan B. Cody would be a great Plan C. We seriously need another striker, I sincerely hope there is an additional guy on that plane tomorrow. Oli Johnson would be my plan J. I think I''d give Korey and maybe even Askou a crack ahead of him if we needed to throw a striker on this season.
How can you compare Oli Johnson so unfavourably with Cody? Surely he has at least been Cody''s equal when pulling on a City Shirt so far??? [:|]
Gotta agree with seat 0123 here. I am not a massive fan of Oli - I don''t think eirther currently are good enough for the 2nd tier. Oli had played over 40 league games in 2 years for a professional club in the 3rd tier of football; whereas Cody had played 19 times in 6 months for a club much further down the league pyramid. On that basis I believe the workrate and pace of McDonald means he is a better long-term bet than Johnson, especially if someone can get rid of the rawness...
 3.
I actually really like that shirt Shackell. Gonna try and find me one online :)
uksoccershop.com or subsidesports £40 odd quid. Less than a tenner out there. Their new kit is awsome, like Roma''s
 4.
Lol, keep up lad. There were 2 or 3 threads about this the other day. [:)]
Well, if he''s to continue getting his post count up, he has to start threads; even if they already exist personally, I think that he is a
 5.
In other breaking news, The Allies have invaded Normandy...
How did you do that? Two war-related sarcastic remarks seconds apart...?
 6.
Shackle''s Limp Tackle - That sounds like the most amazing football shirt ever. Any pics?
here you are:
 7.

or this: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/02/06/peruvian_footie_team/
Yup, good team the Wankas, saw them play the mighty Universitario a couple of times. Shirts not as good as Sport Boys, though...pink...and a complete lack of understanding on their part of the campness of their name/shirt combo
I can testify that South American teams have some pretty appauling sponsors/shirt designs. My team C.D La Serena''s old strip is pink, red and whte with swirls on it and has a lighthouse featuring prominantly on it. It is made all the better that the sponsor is Chile''s equivilent to Lidl. the shirt is so bad - it''s great.
 8. Lovely man. ... "Thassa tackle boi shackell...now a bitta head tennis...Ooh referee!" RIP Roy.
 9.
Always over rated in my opinion. Was a fans favourite and I never really knew why. Maybe it was his affectionate puppy like nickname that created the bond between him and a lot of fans.
Took a dislike to him from a while ago when city played Derby County. Before the match a few city players were signing autographs for some kids sat at the front of the South Stand; Russell could''nt be bothered to take his gloves off to sign an autograph for a young disabled lass who waited patiently and had politely asked. He was the only one not to sign one, could''nt be arsed. Overated clogger with poor discipline; against better oppostion this year he will be found out, irrespective of which position he plays in.
 10. Exactly! You could never see ''jack sh1t'' anyway...lol. I sit on the back row of the Barclay, on the steps so, no matter what my opinion on the subject, I know that I don''t interupt too much when I go down at half time a few minutes before the end. Surely it is a matter of choice...
 11. Some of the self-important, sanctimonious opinions on this thread are brilliant.. "Ooh people obstruct my view when they push past me to leave to go to the bar at half-time or at the end to catch a train.." Andycanary, did you every stand (probably in your case you would have preferred to have sat) in the Old Barclay? Was your view obstructed then? FFS
 12. Given the fact that Lambert inherited (what should have been and what will soon be) a mid-table Championship squad, then yes, I agree, Wilson is the man. Charlie Austin is an incredible find. However, unless you are being ironic, your post collapses with you last sentance. Boothroyd has Lisbie at £8k a week and now Frank Quedrue?!. I work in the same industry as Robbie Cowling and me/my director have bussiness conections with him and he, at this rate, will very soon be on the ropes... all on companies'' house - take a look. www.creditsafeuk.com
 13. Where would the Pink''un message board be without a daily dollop of inane sh1te from banana...? Still, anything to get the post count up...
 14. I have to say that we were poor today. In fairness, Stockport raised their game and looked (a little bit) better than their league standing. McNamee''s goal took a huge deflection from where I was standing, and I had hoped that we would capitialise from it. The last 20 minutes were, quite frankly painful. But, another 3 points towards the finishing line.... Come on!!
 15.
Stay clear of Pats Cafe....gone seriously downhill.....like someone else said...bond Street cafe or the one on unthank....the one on unthank is actually the best in the city IMO.
Surprised at you Arthur, The Denmark Cafe is by far the bast cafe in Norwich; highlighted by the fact that it won''t be open on a Bank Holiday. It is a PROPER workman''s cafe...
 16.
"Mate, I have it on good authority that that phone in was a staged by someone who is local, with a brain and a touch of comic genious... certain it''s not genuine. Very funny though...." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Wgc1ZRImDA&feature=related ?
Mate, thanks for wasting 5 minutes of my life watching a couple of kids pissing about in a park in Diss!!! ...And, why is it when a lot of local people, born and raised here and should know better, talk ''west country'' when impersonating themselves?
 17.

May have been posted before, but this is quality - found it while looking at Harry Hill clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siFBGPERuJg&feature=related
OMG! That made me cringe!
Mate, I have it on good authority that that phone in was a staged by someone who is local, with a brain and a touch of comic genious... certain it''s not genuine. Very funny though....
 18.
Are you not a fan of Shackell? I think a Shackell - Askou partnership would have done well for us in League One this season
No Shacks was alright. I was trying to go with a mildy humerous, inuendo-esque name. ...and Failed!
 19. ..for far too long! So for a first post, I''ll play safe. What three positions would you strengthen most for next season, assuming/if we go up, in order for us to be at least competative in the ccc. What a tame first post!
