1. They won''t kick Southend out this late in the season, they will wait until the summer. Col who''s claim won''t lead to a points deduction and people should worrying.
2. Division one 10 years ago is probably of similar standard to league one today . so to say iwan performed at a higher level is nonsence. It''s like saying the England of 1966 would beat England now- it simply woundnt happen as fitness levels are now much higher
3. I can''t believe that nobody has mensioned the moment in the 1st half when doherty tried to head a ball which was rolling along the ground. His first half performance was laughable
4.
Time will tell, Your life is a pretty high price to wager though. I would wish death on many people. Perhaps you may agree to some kind of forfeit if Doc does get in?
what kind of forfeit were you suggesting
5. Doherty will not be in the team off the year fact no arguements I would bet my life on it
6. no, because the administrators would sell our assets in order to pay the creditors. we would loose everything we have
7. Oh be careful the doherty lovers will soon point out to you that it was his goal although all credit should go to martin for it
8. They have gone into administatipn twice and ruined countless small businesses in the process they havenever recieved true punishment for this and remain a trading company did they once say sorry for the companys they ruined and the careers they shattered Am I the only one who shares this disbelief that they are still a football club that is allowed to spend money on players. when instead they should be compensating the thousands of people that there overspending cause to loose their jobs and businesses and in some cases even there homes
9. So what if he looked good in a sub standard league it''s not as if he''s a youngster who has a chance of coming back to city and breaking into the team good luck to him though and I hope he signs for the shrews in the summer and enjoys his final years of football
10. I wouldn''t say that he is partcularly bad but he is young and not fully ready for a full season he just needs a rest. In my opinion he can only get better
11. wouldn''t be so confident , having watched every match this season I''m not convinced that we are all that we cracked up to be
12. I''m sorry are you changing the subject. I''ve stated my arguement so it''s only right that you state yours, in defence of the doc I presume might I add I don''t hate the guy I''m just not his biggest fan
13. I have to be honest , and just before the sending off we were being out played I feel we are using the red card to shield our poor performance red card aside , and frankly we were well beaten by a very good looking saints side and if god forbid we should find ourselves in the play offs with the saints , I think that we would be looking at a second season in division 3 don''t you?
14. Are you saying that the name defenders are all bad then? I belive that the doc is the common denominator in all of our recent defencive disasters I agree this may be a tad harsh but it is an opinion shared by many. If he starts to win me over I will publically apologise for my slating of one of our clubs longest serving players butcuntil he wins me over my opinion will not change.
15. nelsons against Hartlepool - overhead kick - would `the doc` do that
16. the question is when will the `doc` get full respect answer when he starts putting in reliable performances every week. when he starts playing well. when he stops making every defender he plays with look as poor as him(to name Davenport, Shackell, Pearce, Murray,Nelson, Whitbread Stefanovic, Askou and Kennedy) and finally when he stops making game changing mistakes(against colchester, sunderland, leeds, southampton, carlisle, and now southampton again) and all this is in a ```good season``` in division 3 so there you have it in my opinion- an opinion which i have a right to share `the doc` dose not get `full respect` because -for me -he has cost us far too much to receive it
17. football today is primarily an entertainment business and if people are not being entrertained at carrow road they will not come we have around 17000 die hard fans who would stick with us through thick and thin (as proved in the days of rioch and hamilton) the rest are just there to see good football or their local team - which of course i have no problem with my point would be proven if we were ever to find ourselves in league two or below
18. yes but when Doherty plays i wonder if a steward has taken a wrong turning in the tunnel and has somehow ended up on the pitch this is a harmless joke as he is not really that goo..bad
19. very well said goalkeepers mistakes are always highlighted whereas strikers mistakes tend not to be
20. oops sorry im a noob and i obviously havent got the hang of that yet
21.

if all fit Drury Askou Whitbread Martin i have never been Dohertys biggest fan but i have to admit he is better than most defenders in this league. However when we bought (for more than we paid for Holt or Hooahan) him he was a `premier league defender` and you would expect most `premier league defenders` to play well in league one.
I just don''t get the exclusion of Doherty without any good reason. Whitbread we haven''t seen yet and isn''t fit enough. So I would have to go with: Martin Askou Doherty Drury With Whitbread fit its between him and Askou who gets it as Doherty has assured his place in the squad since Lamberts arrival. We may well of bought Doherty as a ''Premier League'' Defender but we bought a League 1 striker and playmaker, so the price isn''t an issue really as its all relative.
I''m looking at this as playing our strongest and most reliable defence. Doherty is not reliable, he has played well this season but has found his level. However saying this he has looked like his normal self when partnering Nelson and I think Askou - Whitbread is a lot more sloid and reliable than Askou - Doherty. I''m also looking at this for next season when we will probably be playing in the Championship, and Doherty has shown us time and time again he is not a Championship defender which is another reason why I would replace him for Whitbread. [/my thoughts exactly]
22. ok my reason is - In my opinion - he is not good enough to play in the Championship everyone is entitled to an opinion even if it is not the same as yours and having watched every match since 2004 - every match Doherty has played in for NCFC - that is my honest opinion - you have every right to disagree
23. Order of preference Askou Whitbread Doherty Nelson Spillane Whitbread is class, there is no denying this , as he proved it all last season. Nelson is decent for a league one club, but dose not suit our style of play. Spillane is young but in my opinion unproven, but hopefully he will be good in the future. Askou is good in the air and has decent ball control, this makes up for his slight lack of pace. I am self confessed `Anti-Doherty` but i wont slate him because he has been good this season.
