A fitting goodbye from Stuart Webber
KeiranShikari replied to Terminally Yellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Godrey and Maddison didn't really progress through the academy here. Unless you're watching it regularly it's impossible to judge though. The Murphy's and Cantwell had a lot of hype abour them but most players that come through so so with less ceremony. As it stands the u23s are doing decently enough in the development league and Jonny Rowe is one of the best young players in the division, so I think they're doing okay in the academy at the moment. -
A fitting goodbye from Stuart Webber
KeiranShikari replied to Terminally Yellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
If only he had stuck with the identity and methodology of his first 3 years in the job. We'd likely be in a significantly better place than where we are now. Leaving whilst in debt is obviously not a good look considering what he's said in the past but I can't imagine he's gone rogue and actually spent to a dangerous level. I'd assume that it was all agreed with Mark Attanasio and whilst they'd all have been hoping the gamble had played out differently it'll be something he's willing to take on. It's obviously soured with the fans over the years but I always enjoyed listening to him. I certainly think there's more to him than just being another motivational slogan using Jake Humphrey podcast type ****, although he's certainly been a bit of that too. -
Iwan Roberts article

I'd imagine Knapper's background in analytics and statistics made him a fairly obvious choice for the Attanasio's. The club have been building that department up over the last couple of years and the new ownership obviously come from a background in stats heavy baseball.. Interesting times ahead. -

Why is Wagner still in the job?
KeiranShikari replied to lake district canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Probably because the Sporting Director is about to change and the club want it to be his man. -
Up and coming managerial candidates
KeiranShikari replied to Tommo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I occasionally watch J-League games on youtube and I'd be surprised if he wasn't in Europe in the near future. I'd love him here even though I'm sure plenty wouldn't based on his playing career. Can't imagine the likes of Hernandez or Cantwell pulling as much **** on social media with a manager like him in charge. -
Yeah, it's a 1 year rolling deal. Don't know what the payoff for that will be but he's Webber's mate so it'll probably be a lot.

What will Stuart Webbers legacy at NCFC be?
KeiranShikari replied to Mullet's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The Farke promotions and playing a big part in the change of ownership. -
I'd take him for the rest of the season. Knapper gets his guy over the summer.

Simple Reason(s) Why Wagner WON'T Go
KeiranShikari replied to JB's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Yup, he won't go because we'll want the new manager to be chosen by a guy who isn't in position for another month. -
Simon Hooper

He was **** but he was **** for both teams. -
How have we ended up with such a poor squad?
KeiranShikari replied to rock bus's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The summer before the Farke sacking. Webber threw their 'philosophy' out of the window in an attempt to be more competitive. It's obviously failed and we've been chasing losses ever since. Step up Ben Knapper. At least he starts with a nice training ground. -
Or we could sign him as a player, we'll finally have the DM we've been waiting for.

Being without 3 of our ideal front 4 (including Sainz) isn't helping but it's clear our main problem is the defensively soft midfield.
