  1. Almost, although I'm not just happy because they're happy. I know the team jneed buy in from the fans and I'm glad most will be doing that whilst I'm yet to be won over....or something like that.
  2. In the Cardiff game we deserved to draw as neither team did anything, today we gave away so much more and probably deserved to lose. I'm glad that a majority of the fanbase are more optimistic than I am right now that's for sure.
  3. Have you not seen us play over the last 9 months? On balance of play today we lose more than we win and that was against a recently promoted league 1 team without a manger. Hopefully it'll be the cliche about a good team finding a win when they're bad I don't see it. I'll admit we weren't good at the beginning of our last promotion season but I'll need to see a lot more before I'm confident of anything close to a top 6 finish.
  4. Result is all that matters today but we need to improve massively. Smith isn't taking us up.
  5. Pathetic performance but they do say that winning when you're awful is a good sign. Let us hope this helps build some confidence.
  6. I've totally been overreacting on Dean Smith though. Sooner we get shot the sooner we can start fixing this team.
  7. 2 - 0 Sunderland. Alex Neil drama pulls the squad together.
  8. https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/the-insight-neil-adams-assistant-sporting-director-recruitment-scouting-process-and-more For something they've titled 'The Insight' it's not the most insightful 20 minutes you'll ever watch but a couple of interesting points nonetheless.
  9. It's almost like his failing this season was a continuation of last season.
  10. Imagine if Farke had stayed, we wouldn't have had to watch another 25 Billy Gilmour performances. I remember my thoughts at that time were that we'd showed spirit for one of the first times that season to hang on. We were done fighting fires with 5 at the back and had returned to what we did best. The likes of Rashica and Normann were really starting to string some performances. Still think we'd have gone down but we'd be more likely to be on our way back this year.
  11. I'm not even anti-smith. I'm just anti most things Smith has done so far,
  12. We should 100% move on Hugill, especially if we're still in for another winger/forward type player. Probably even if we're not.
  13. I liked Farke in his first season. He's been of the very few managers that I've actually taken the time to watch pre match stuff regularly. I did state that the cult of personality stuff is something I try not to judge Smith harshly on though, he clearly doesn't enjoy that part of his job. Somebody stated that Lambert was dour, true but that edge made him actually interesting sometimes. Maybe Smith is putting on the manager bot 1000 facade to get through those quickly and he's actually brilliant behind the scenes. I guess I'll get behind that when I see buy in on the pitch or a proper Norwich interview with him. All of this is secondary to performances and so far I think our performances are mirroring the Neil Adams season. We'll win some games because we're a stronger team than most but I doubt we'll do it consistently under we turn a big hairpin corner under Smith
  14. I've been miserable about all of the recent games including the wins tbf. Last night wasn't a part of my thinking specifically. We'll see. I hate the phrase but 'I hope I'm wrong'.
  15. I certainly agree with some of that regarding Smith. He feels like a temporary gamble that hasn't paid off and is just going to be a placeholder until the next guy turns up. When I think of successful Norwich managers I think of charismatic Farke, spicy Lambert and up-and-coming Neil. I try not to think about cult of personality stuff but it is hard not to after Farke. I don't think Smith is a bad manager I just think he's incredibly beige. That in itself isn't the worst thing as we've had beige managers do okay previously I just don't think he's what we need right now. I don't get the impression that Smith is particularly bothered, I think he'd almost be thankful if we sacked him. Not in a sense that we'd be putting himself out of his misery I just think he's tired and probably should have taken that 6 months out of football he was planning when Villa sacked him.
  16. I've often thought Pukki has the brains and other attributes to be that Thomas Muller style player in a wide/floating position.
  17. To be fair I thought we would win both of those games and will continue to beat poor/average sides at home even if we don't change manager. Perhaps I'm just a miserablist when it comes to Smith and in a few weeks time I'll start seeing the green shoots. As of now I've mowed the lawn and looked closely but am not seeing them.
  18. I've been a clapper on this forum for 15 or 16 years and even I can see where this season is heading. Somebody's cut the brakes and we're heading towards a cliff. Deano couldn't care less as he'll be ejected onto a big pile of money, of course that will be too late. Obviously hope we win but the best result over the last week would have been a few losses and Smith out of his job.
  19. Probably fans with season tickets not turning up for the midweek games more than tickets not selling.
  20. To be fair we had an actual manager last season.
