Unless I've missed an injury (cba to check the lineups) I'm shocked we're still going with this setup with our strikers. It could just be that Rowe and Tzolis are that bad but I'd have given one of them the other wing and started with 1 striker in the 1 striking position.

I agree with the latter part but Is he actually better off the bench though? I don't think we ever see the best of Hernandez from the bench. In theory his pace and power should be better against tiring defenders but in reality I think he needs lots of minutes and lots of the ball. If he's going to be starting regularly and we want to be competative then we need a hell of a signing on the other wing/10.

I think this is a really good shout. Replaces the experience we're losing and would fit Wagner's game far more than Pukki.

Nothing in 20-21 but to be fair to him it was an injury hit season. Am I misremembering multiple large injuries for Dowell because i can only think of 1? In my head his injury record is about the same as Hernandez but he's obviously 5 years younger (and a better footballer).

Fair play. 6 goals and 8 assists in 3 years is much better. Dowell would be a significantly more valuable contract to secure.

Cantwell, whilst seeming disinterested and pissing us about, still managed to keep Hernandez out of the team. If he is indeed just being signed to be deep cover then he's only going to be getting in the way of youngsters coming through. Something I thought we really needed to be focusing on considering our financial situation.

I think he's to Arsenal as Danel Sinani was to us. A cheap punt signed with potential profit in mind more than a first team player.

If he wasn't seemingly such a top bloke Webber would be getting pelters for re-signing a 30 year old winger who's scored 7 and assisted 9 in his previous 4 Championship seasons.

Think you've gotten that the wrong way around. Less for Aarons and a more for Sara. Certainly not the 20-25m I've seen people talking about this summer for Sara though.

Most people thought Billy Gilmour was a good signing too.
