1. What a waste of time they were. Never properly instructed to hold them up (unless I missed it) and so all looked a bit naff. Best laugh was the Barclay end doing the Jon moss ''get on with the game'' motion with their hands when Man city got a corner. Priceless.
2. Surely a new to series on Mustard... Pammy meets Chris Sutton
3.
No but failure to win at West Brom and time must surely be up. By which point it will be too late.
No it won''t. AN should be here next season whichever league we''re in.
4. Almost as good as reading the ''fans'' on here. Mark a particular highlight and I applaud Robs response... "Mark there who prefers the championship, well maybe he should go and support 1p5wich"
5. More importantly, how did he become, and how is he still a football pundit? He knows f*** all and is as tedious as many posters on here, only less entertaining.
6.
The reason people are mentioning Chris Hughton is because this season is a carbon copy of our relegation season. Manager refusing to make subs until we are behind. Diabolical away form. Certain players undroppable regardless of form. The occasional home win to appease those who refuse to accept the inevitable.
It really isn''t, but carry on...
7.

Come on, yes it was poor, but saying it was like watching a Hughton team at its very worst is just blasphemy. At least we attempted to win the game. Hughton wouldve settled for a narrow loss.
It wasnt any better than a Hughton performance and at least that man could bag the odd point or two 1 in 27 is sackable and thats really what should happen.
We obviously have very different memories of his tenure. Away performances in particular were, "we start with a point lads, that''ll do" followed by 90mins of turgid, ultra defensive rubbish where the players got confused if they crossed the half way line.
8. And another mention of Hughton.... LOL Why ever did we let him go?..... Oh yeh I remember
9. Come on, yes it was poor, but saying it was like watching a Hughton team at its very worst is just blasphemy. At least we attempted to win the game. Hughton wouldve settled for a narrow loss.
10. quote user="Tettey''s Jig"GET IN SOUTHAMPTON! Somehow we''re still in this battle to stay up!quote Don''t talk nonsense. You''re spoiling this thread with your positivity.
11. "He weekly changes tactics, game plan" This is why he was lauded as a genius by many last season.
12.
It was coming, oh dear... the final few nails are being hammered in now. [:(]
Are they? Is the season over after this game?
13. Its simply rubish that Mason knew about the deflection off Jerome for the back pass. He had no idea and neither did any of the officials. Assuming they are actual working earpieces, why didn''t Mason simply tell Michael Oliver (4th official) the reason why he hadnt awarded us a free kick? The reason I say this is because at least 3 of the city bench went and spoke to Oliver about the incident and all he could do in response was shrug clearly say he didn''t know. Putting that aside however, how anyone can think he still had a good game is crazy. Too many good tackles (from both teams) were punished, far too much diving resulting in free kicks and, as said before, the clash of heads summed up his bias towards them.
14. It''s a nice day out and meeting up with my mate who I sit with (who I don''t really see otherwise) makes it worthwhile but last night and all too often recently, we''ve ended up just laughing about the decisions being given. City aren''t blameless either. I cannot stand the ridiculously easy way players go down and worse still, the fact that the refs give the free kick virtually every time.
15. You shouldn''t get mom for only playing well in one half and that''s why Redmond didn''t get it. For all his excellent play in the 2nd half, he didn''t really turn up for the first 45 mins. Wes (again) never stopped running, creating and trying to orchestrate something to get us going.
16. The 3 way clash of heads was ridiculous. Never seen a ref get so animated about getting physios on to attend to a player barely touched and ignore a player with half his mouth missing and another who was unidentifiable due the amount of blood pouring out of his head. I said during the game I hate watching modern day football, all the diving and referees falling for it (and yes particularly in favour of the ''big'' teams) is infuriating and really makes me question why I bother going anymore.
17. It''s not going to happen so please just b***** off somewhere else.
18.
Is it not obvious that the teams with the worst defences in the league will go down - Villa, Newcastle and Norwich. The failure to organise the defence all season and get an EPL-quality keeper will be how AN is remembered
I guarantee you that''s not how I''ll remember him. Neither will any Norwich City fans.
19. When the team was changing last season and the tactics different for each opposing team, AN was a genius with ''never-before-seen'' thoroughness and research into our opponents. Now we''re in the PL and losing some games, he''s ''out of his depth'' and too inexperienced. This thread is like so many on this board at the moment. Littered with b*******
20. Shows why he''s been forced into the side either central or on the left. His influence is too big to leave out. Against West Ham he was playing more central for most of the game and I think that''s how it needs to stay. Next problem is getting the most out of Naismith and Wes together.
21.
"Hang on a minute...the ''biggest'' strange decision making problem for you is his lack of trying to change a game with subs??? Do you watch the games?" I sure he does, silly question really. However ineffective AN''s substitutions may have been overall, I too do not see his decisions re: substitutions as being his strangest. I am one of those who thinks that there is over-much tinkering, even taking into account the fact that we are a side that has few true genuine so-called PL quality players in our squad, that we are destined to struggle and that therefore finding that winning formula demands frequent changes. There does not seem to be too much method in this madness. Instead there is a hint of panic and more than that of being a bit unsure of the way to get the side back into winning ways. Substitution-wise, I am inclined to think that taking Alex Tettey off during the Newcastle game was indeed one of his strangest decisions, or do we call that naivety.
Whether taking Tettey off against Newcastle was strange or naive, it was AN making a change to try and influence the game. Something he has done countless times. That was the reason behind my incredulity of baldyboys statement. It amazes me more that someone can question this area of ANs management after what we had to go through under Chris (89th minute sub) Hughton.
22.
I wasn''t trying to beat the manager with a stick at all. just asking a football question as to me Neil has made many decisions which are strange thats all, the biggest being his lack of ability to try to change things with subs or even two up front. As for what Jeremy Knobbend said about me, yes I served my country for 26 years to help protect people like himself who judge people without even knowing them. My personal status and life have absolutely nothing to do with the likes of him and he epitomises all that is wrong with society and especially this messageboard, which is that if people have a different opinion they must be abused in some way. If Jeremy, you despise me that much that is up to you, maybe though you would like to meet me before the Chelsea game and tell me to my face exactly what your problem with me is, although tbh I doubt you have the balls to move from your keyboard?
Hang on a minute...the ''biggest'' strange decision making problem for you is his lack of trying to change a game with subs??? Do you watch the games?
23. Comparing Klose to the doc. Lol. To answer the OP, Naismith and Klose are improvements on the squad, Pinto isn''t, Jarvis was already here and the others were youngsters. I sense Naismith being another scapegoat very soon. Again, lol.
