1. It''s taken a while but JC is now at STFC and, it seems, still on the original deal that was discussed all those weeks ago. My sources tell me that we''re contributing less than 33% of his reputed £6.5k weekly salary with you guys - if he scores a few goals which in all fairness he should do at League2 level then the extra bums on seats will pay his wages, an extra 120 or so spectators at home games should see that figure reached with ease, especially given the current league position and form etc. I think it''s a gamble worth taking and he has hopefully got a point to prove to Paul Lambert and Norwich City, as well as proving to himself he still has the goal scoring touch and no doubt some of the doubters that will greet him in the lower league - just hope his heart is in it and he can hack life away from home, the travelling and living out of a suitcase in a hotel etc. Thanks everybody for your comments and continued good luck and success for the remainder of the season.

 3.
Although you''ve got to wonder what percentage (if any!) of his wages they are paying! Maybe they''ve done what Santos did to get Robinho and got local businesses to pay his wages!!
We''re not even paying anywhere near half of his 6k/week salary (sorry guys but the 8k/week is incorrect) apparently which would seem about right given the source of the story and that remains in our pay structure, if he scores a few goals and guides us towards promotion then it will be a good bit of business - interestingly he turned down Gillingham in favour of STFC.

 5. It seems that JC is going to be presented to the Shrewsbury Town crowd this evening at our home game against Barnet, the loan signing making the move too late to make his debut. Time will tell but the word on the street is generally about 99.9% correcthttp://blueandamber.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=64120&page=1
 6. Shrewsbury Town fan in peace here - there''s more than a little element of truth regarding Jamie Cureton coming to Shrewsbury on a season long loan deal, the stumbling block being what percentage of his wages we might be willing to pay. Any thoughts would be welcomed.PS: Nice to see Holty doing so well, bring on a Canary promotion and activate the clause for a bit more money for us please.
