    Never understood why people pay good money and not get involved. I always sing, clap, swear ( company permitting) and often as not I'm out of my seat. It's the look of disdain that I get that really bugs me, like I should be sectioned. We're 2nd for chrissakes, if you aren't enjoying it now, you never will.

    Pinto is not getting a game anytime soon, unless Max is injured. Hanley will be further away once Klose is fit.

    Not sure that's accurate, West Brom got lucky at our place, Derby the same. Sheffield U. Beat us in the last minute,in fact the only top side that's given us a lesson is Spies United.

    I've been away a long time JUBS, but I don't remember Cromer,Yarmouth etc being in Suffolk. Not to mention the fact that when I lived there none of those had a professional football team.

    Tragic for Thompson, if we're promoted it's unlikely that he will get his chance here, by the time he's up to speed, we will have made other choices. As for Morris, he might need to go out on loan again to get games, another one who's had no luck.

    Finally! Someone telling it as it is. Amazingly, the first response challenges him and, as usual, is in complete denial. Aligning 1p5wich's plight with the economic downturn in the area gives credence and goes some way to support the argument that there are more than just football factors at work here. Driving through Suffolk earlier this year felt like the land that time forgot, anyone on the road seemed to be in a hurry to get to somewhere else. As for the Club, the had a 20 year hiatus, nothing more nothing less, they achieved nothing before 61 and by 82 it was all over, it would seem that they are now returning to their rightful place in the football pyramid, based on performances over the last 35 years.

    That's why I can walk down Queen St in Auckland and see kids wearing Man U, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea shirts, none of them have ever been North of the Equator. My son (born in Essex) doesn't follow football but he wears a West Ham shirt, he doesn't know the history of the Club, who they played last week or next week. It's a brand and the Premiership have done a fantastic job in selling it around the world. What it has done to the rest of English football is a different story.

    Interesting how different parts of the Country are recognized in different ways, Somerset, we think of cider Staffordshire, it's ceramics and so on. Yorkshire is known for flat caps and whippets, Geoff Boycott and bitter, there's no question, they are a special breed. Unfortunately, they've earned a reputation for football violence that, even if not always apparent, is bubbling away just under the surface. It doesn't take much to ignite their passions, a quick scan through WACCOE should tell you all you need to know about the welcome we'll be receiving next week.

    The money we spent on Helveg, Jonsson, Doherty and Charlton should have been spent on getting Ashton in August rather than spend the money anyway in January when we were already looking down... even then he nearly saved us.

    I'm wondering where his career goes from here, he's still young, had a taste of the Premiership, and is surplus at a struggling Newcastle. Does the loan come with an option to buy? What if Albion are promoted? Would they want to keep him? Is he destined to be a Championship journeyman for the next 4 or 5 years? Such a waste, I was at the Bridge the night he and his brother tore Chelsea's expensively assembled youth Team apart, seems like only yesterday.

    Fortunately we're not making the decisions, for DF it's another 3 points, doesn't matter who we're playing. If we did lose to 1p5wich it would mean some banter for a while but they're only heading in one direction and hopefully so are we.

    With all the talk about the next 3 games, I'm a little worried about the Preston game, it's got banana skin written all over it.

    When was the last time Lambert did an interview where he didn't use the phrases, 'they've been brilliant for me' and 'they need some help ' he was saying much the same thing 10 years ago at our place. It's just a charm offensive and the quicker they realize it the better.

    Don't drink when I get to CR, mainly because I've driven up from London but I don't object to others having a pint, as long as they can handle it.

    I still think we can win all three but I'd take 7 points if the draw was against Sheffield U.
