'Falling apart again ' would be appropriate. -
New socks for Christmas
splendidrush replied to CANARYKING's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I want the spare sock as my missus has a habit of losing them between the washing machine and my sock draw. -
Team for next season
splendidrush replied to The Great Mass Debater's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Fair enough, I just hope your wife doesn't give up on you as easily as you give up on Norwich. -
Team for next season
splendidrush replied to The Great Mass Debater's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Who are these professionals? Ignore them get behind the Team, despite the injuries this could still be a great season. -
Cheer up - we could be the scum

Now that they're finally waking up to the reality that they might find their supposed easy return to the Championship a little more challenging, they're looking for someone to blame, Lambert is an easy target. All the anti Norwich stuff, used as a stick to beat him with ,while unfair, is only to be expected. Lambert meanwhile, will have trousered another years salary without providing the required results. Evans, for his part, is loathed to dump his Managers, he's almost too loyal, meaning Lambert is free to keep up the good work. -
Team for next season
splendidrush replied to The Great Mass Debater's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Softcock alert...... glad the players haven't run up the white flag. Less than half way through the season and some of you have given up. I wouldn't want to be next to you in the trenches. -
He was expensive and you can understand why he was in no hurry to leave..... however I was shocked to see what Mings did to him.

I'm just not sure that we'd spend the money required in a position that Emi holds and Roberts can't get a game.
-
Do you think that he'll get a game at Leicester?

Ignoring the noise
splendidrush replied to lake district canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
This is nonsense, so far we've played football like we were a top six side, results against Man City, Arsenal and running Chelsea close. Trouble is, we're a bottom six side atm, the Teams around us are scrappers and know how to survive in this League. If we don't learn to mix it and win ugly occasionally we're not going to survive. I, for one was pleased to see Tettey and Todd getting stuck in and putting up a fight. Ultimately, you have to make a decision, do you want to take moral high ground, trying to play pretty football every week while the opposition bully us and go home with the points, sending us back to the Championship. Or would you trade some of the 'entertainment' in exchange for the possibility of survival. -

Still waiting for all those 1p5wich legends..... -
Meanwhile, not far away....

Be fair ER, they're leading the way on green issues, they're the first Club in Europe to plant a tree on the roof of their ground. -
Is Tim Krul our best keeper - EVER?
splendidrush replied to lappinitup's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Loved Keelan but he was always kept busy during our early years in Division One. I always felt Woods was weak on crosses but with Watson and Bruce in front of him it didn't seem so apparent. Gunn and Green were good shotstoppers rather than all round goalkeepers, as for Krul, his best years were elsewhere but, based our budget last year he's been a brilliant signing. -
Good news prior to Liverpool at home!

Good call, surprised at that result. 👍 -

Christ, if they don't go up this season, they're screwed...... Fingers crossed 🤭 -
We're staying up and he can go out on loan to the Championship, to a smaller Club like, oh I don't know, Leeds?
-
A bit harsh, I seem to remember McLean getting up at the near post against Man City, all those multi million pound players defending a corner. It happens, let's not keep beating him up over it.

..... are those little blue pills any good? Asking for a friend 😉

Good news prior to Liverpool at home!
splendidrush replied to Alex Moss's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Champions League regulars like Liverpool have enough quality to field 2 Teams capable of being competitive in the Premiership, their 2nd 11 are likely to want to send Klopp the message that they should be in the first Team.... be careful what you wish for. -
'Gave himself a good talking to'!

If Villa want Emi, you have to wonder if they've had an offer for Grealish, can't see them fitting both in the same midfield. -
Todd Cantwell and Teemu's Toe
splendidrush replied to Thirsty Lizard's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Agree with this, he's a unit and there would be no pressure on him from the home support. If Pukki doesn't make it, throw him in..... tough on Dennis though. -
There was some 'afters' in a match between them back in the 70s and the media like to keep it going.
