Raggett bags against the binners!
splendidrush replied to Feedthewolf's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I don't care if he played for us on loan, if he goes on to score against the Binboys he automatically gets the freedom of the City, regardless of who he's playing for. -
Bamford's fore arm was off side what a joke
splendidrush replied to Mullet's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I wonder what the decision would have been if it were LiVARpool..... -
If you had the choice of finishing the season now....
splendidrush replied to astro's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Has there been a Season where all 3 relegated sides have gone straight back up?.... If it happens this year there would surely be a discussion to be had about parachute payments. -
Trybull not impressing Blackburn fans
splendidrush replied to TeemuVanBasten's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I don't have Dowell down as a winger but you may be right, as for the rest, I've already covered Tettey, Sorensen is currently our number one left back, Vrancic is not a defensive midfielder and nor is Mumba. Leaving Rupp, Skipp and McLean, given the 'luck' we had last Season with injuries, it's not too much of a stretch to suggest that there may still be room for TT come January..... I'm not saying it will happen but it wouldn't be the first time. -

Because, we've already lost a centre midfielder for an extended period, Tettey can't play two games a week, unless we're desperate and with the demands of a compressed schedule we might need extra personnel to fill the gap..... You can drop the eyebrow now. -

...... By January, we might need him. -
Points deduction reduced to six, that'll have a few looking over their shoulder.
-
Still early days, many are suggesting that Reading won't keep it going despite their brilliant start and along come lowly Coventry to do a job on them..... Eight points would be great from four tough games, even if we drew the two at home, as long as we win the away games the total would be the same, remember, we're Norwich, we don't do things the easy way.

Famewo loan going well
splendidrush replied to kick it off's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Hope he recovers quickly, we might need him back! -
They're living in a time warp, they still think that they're the same Club they were 40 Years ago. They dismiss the likes of Gillingham and Crewe, forgetting that they are in the same League, defeat to Lincoln was met with derision, as if they had no right to even be on the same pitch. They show little, if any respect for other Clubs' or their fans based purely on their own self importance backed up by their history. Sunderland next, two former Cup Winners, a big game, followed by Portsmouth in the Cup. This time next week TWTD could be a delight.
-
Reading the comments on TWTD, many of them still think that they're too good for League 1. I'm not sure what this is based on, they've been poor for several Seasons and with their financial position hampering them further, any hopes of promotion are, at best a stretch. Good times......😎

And you lot moaned about our away kit!

For those of a certain age.... Daktari springs to mind.🦓🦁 -
There's no such thing as a friendly against the Binners, first Team, Under 23s even the Under 9s, I'd be demanding victory. No doubt, should they win, they'll claim the ten (eleven?) year run is over and someone will manage to put a clip up on You Tube.
-
Football hasn't been a 'competitive sport' for 30 years, it's a business run and controlled by money men and we simply can't compete financially. If that upsets you, you're supporting the wrong Club. As for supporting 1p5wich, they've won nothing for 20 years, so don't bother.

Friendly against Ipswich?

Norwich championship record holders
splendidrush replied to Bill's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I don't understand the first bit and is Pukki's record since the formation of the Premier League? I've been a supporter since the early seventies and, on average, we've been a top end Championship/bottom end Premiership side..... I don't see that changing anytime soon. -
would we walk the championship ?
splendidrush replied to Bill's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Unfortunately, you missed our Promotion in '86. After winning the League Cup we collapsed to relegation, the following Season we were far too good and with Watson and Bruce at the back and Drinkell up front we went straight back up. -
How do we escape relegation?
splendidrush replied to Harry53's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Not sure about that....... The Doc was always at least 2 metres away from the player he was supposed to be marking. I wish people would stop with the 'Ben in midfield' line. It ain't gonna happen. -
Aviva No Longer Associated With The Club.

You're new here, not the best way to make friends..... -
Reports, south of the border are that the paupers are investing in cleaning the roof of the Sir Bobby Robson Stand. Some would say "not a moment too soon" however it should be pointed out that the tree is on the roof of the Churchmans and will remain for the foreseeable...... Still, with promotion looking unlikely, I'm sure a clean roof will dazzle the already delusional to turn up in ever increasing numbers when we do finally get back to football.

What were 1p5wich called before some sports hack called them the Tractor Boys?

So many examples that contradict that statement, from Van Wolf to Maddison, that the truth is more the opposite. -
