I hope Eddie Howe is in the frame as he'll string them along for two months then turn them down because his mates won't want to move up north to hold his hand, basically what he did to Celtic.

Apparently the binmen want Eddie Howe to replace Cook.... in League One 🤣

  2. I'm sure they'd love a derby, they haven't won one in 12 years. I always looked forward to them back in the day but now they're a bit meh, I hardly see them as rivals anymore,  apart from bragging rights, is there any value in beating 1p5wich? I mean they're beaten regularly in League One nowadays so unless we play our kids it's not really going to be a contest.

This is something I really don't like about VAR - previously all decisions were left on the pitch, but the ref was clearly willing to let Kabak's challenge go. Now there's the opportunity for someone to overturn a ref's decision, even if they "just feel like it" - there's more opportunities for corruption. VAR was touted as making sure everyone had a fair chance and there was no more big club advantage, but what is any different? If someone in a room miles and miles away decides they don't want little Norwich getting anything, then they will still ensure that is the case!

.... I said this when VAR was first mooted, it's just another way to ensure the big Clubs maintain their dominance. After a season or two, to allow things to settle down,  we're now seeing blatant poor decisions at the expense of the smaller Clubs...... it's almost like the Premiership only want larger/well supported Clubs to occupy the Premiership...... they'd rather Sunderland,  Wednesday and Stoke in exchange for us, so don't expect any favours.

Burnley, champions in the early 1960s, got relegated that season, were one match away from dropping into non-league football in the 1980s, and only got back to the top flight in 2009-10.

Oh dear, we'd better watch out, that lot down the Road will be storming back...... sometime around 2049!

We were 4-2 down at Burnley but scored 2 in injury time to rescue a point. I got back on the coach to find 4 people who had left early to avoid the crush 😂

Was that the game where Peter Noble scored all four goals for Burnley and was moaning in the papers the following day, that despite scoring 4, he wouldn't be getting a 'win' bonus?..

  6. I won't be there,as from Auckland even a home game is an away game.... for those taking the plunge, I'm dead jealous, for those not taking the risk, I understand. However you deal with this, I'm sure you'll all be backing the boys, enjoy the day..... I want to hear about it from you all after the match 👍....OTBC

A few more quality signings should give us a bit of hope but time will tell whether everything gels and we can remain injury free in crucial areas of the pitch this time. I think it's also concerning how knackered/unfit Pukki has looked recently.  We need to bring in another goal machine to relieve some of the pressure on him.

Can't argue with any of this, we lost 3 CBs at the start of our last Premiership tilt and it did for us..... Take Hanley, Gibson and Zimbo out right now and I'm sure the result would be the same...... still work to do imo.

Based on players I have seen playing and taking the shirt number literally (thank you to LA Union Canary)  rather than position:

    1. Kevin Keelan

    2. Mark Bowen

    3.  Ian Culverhouse

    4.  Steve Bruce

    5.  Duncan Forbes

    6.  Ian Crook

    7. Dale Gordon

    8.  Craig Bellamy

    9. Martin Peters

    10. Dean Ashton

    11. Robert Fleck

    .....best so far..... 👍

  9. Never seen Gilmour videos before and I know these are highlights,  remember RVW?.... gotta say he puts a nice weight on a pass, not shy to get stuck in for a small lad, he's always on the move, with the right guidance he's could become a real star, whether Daniel gets the chance to work with him remains to be seen but he looks a real talent...... get him in 👍

The same one as you! I just don’t think he had a whole lot to get involved in. I’d say McGinn had more say and dictated the midfield which ultimately led to Scotland’s back line not having a whole bunch of stuff to do. It was Scotland’s pressing from midfield which prevented the England forward play which meant by the time we did break through it was more or less nullified meaning the Scottish defence had a fairly easy job of mopping up.

Or maybe I was taking crazy pills the whole time?! Posters on here are so quick to ram their opinions down your throats. You satisfied trying to make me look like a b£llend behind that keyboard of yours?! Well done for scoring some points on a football forum.

Danke has a point, truth is we need to get our defensive mid sorted, seems our back four were exposed last time in the Premiership when the likes of Leitner and Tommy T came up short.

I don't think Hanley and Co are below standard, if there's a Skipp or similar in front of them.....

Emi’s comments about our lack of ambition compared to villa gives us a view from the squad about what they are expecting for the upcoming season.

It is a real burden being right all the time

As much as I don't like Villa, they're in a different League to us financially,  it's not a lack of ambition.... we know where we are as a Club and in terms of future proofing, we're better off moving players on once they've outgrown us.

In my time I've seen plenty of players leave,  some have broken my heart but my Club is still here, for all of us to enjoy, playing, once again in the top League,  look around, plenty of Clubs would give anything to be in our position...

  12. It's like they're given a cue card to read, the new Manager said it, the new CEO said it, now they've got incoming players,  most have never heard of, tagging it on to their interviews.

Of course, as you say, the delusional will lap this up, how, with so few words,  they will adopt these no marks as one of their own....

They're being linked with anyone who can tie laces at the moment, Cook had better know what he's doing, it's easy to blow a 40 million warchest on rubbish,  it's been done plenty of times before........

    Here's hoping 👍
